That's exactly why it's important to think carefully before you post or share anything online. Even if you're a professional in your field, there will always be keyboard warriors ready to nitpick or challenge you.
Buuuuut..... I couldn't care less about what people think. Just look at me now, chilling in my neat room surrounded by anime figures and manga, the sound of my keyboard echoing as I dive into The World of Evalia, a popular gacha game. Sure, I'm a total nerd when it comes to this stuff, but I've also got a life. I make time for my family, hit the gym, and hold down a high-paying job as a Physics professor. Basically, I'm living the dream every nerd wishes for.
"OHHHHH F*** YEAH!" I couldn't help but cuss out loud when I finally landed a 10-Star limited weapon after who knows how many gacha rolls, though I do know I dropped about 50,000 PHP (around 870 USD) to get it.
The moment my eyes locked onto that glorious sight, I didn't hesitate and equipped it right away on my favorite playable character, Cassiel Vaelwyn.
That move was... questionable at best... no, let's be honest, most people would just call it flat-out stupid. Well, everyone except me, Luca Flores. I mean, seriously, who in their right mind would equip top-tier, insanely expensive gear on a character as notoriously awful as Cassiel Vaelwyn?
Cassiel's reputation as the worst playable character isn't for nothing. His mechanics are ridiculously overcomplicated, his base stats are weak, his upgrade materials are a nightmare to farm, and at some point, you're basically forced to spend real money to level him up. No sane player would go through all that trouble for a character who not only underperforms solo but can't even function well in a team.
Despite all the criticism, I've gained quite the reputation for making incredible progress in the game using Cassiel as my main. I've advanced further than most players, and honestly, that's something I take pride in. But The World of Evalia is far from finished. The game branches into different paths based on your choices, and what's really fascinating is that some of those paths are still uncharted, no one has reached the true ending yet.
The ultimate goal? To defeat the world's creator, the Goddess Evalia herself. A lot of players believe it's impossible because how do you beat a literal divine being? But I don't buy that. If the game has an end goal, then it has to be achievable.
"Heheheh... I can't wait to post this to the player feed and cause chaos. The rage is gonna be legendary," I muttered to myself, letting out a devilish chuckle. Just imagining the outrage caused by me, equipping a 10-Star limited weapon, one of the rarest in the entire game, to the worst character? It was pure chaos fuel.
With a wicked grin, I hovered over the mouse and hit the post button to upload the screenshot. Just as I did, the game tab abruptly took over the screen, overlaying my socials. A notification appeared, one I hadn't seen before.
