You know… Have you ever regretted your decision, but at the same time not? Well, it is happening to me. I am not regretting picking that CYOA before I get shot by a robber who enters my house. Because of that decision, I reincarnated into a new world with powerful powers.
Then, what am I regretting? I regret not using all the points in the CYOA. What? I am picking the Sandbox option. There are a lot of powerful powers in there, and I only pick a fraction of them. With that amount of points, I can take all of the powers and still have many points left.
However, there is nothing I gain from regretting that decision. At least, I still get something out of it. Hell, even when the CYOA only grants me a second chance, I am happy about it. Don't get me wrong, being alive back in my previous world will be better, but I will not complain… too much.
Anyway, I am now Jaune Arc. That sounds familiar? Because I am the same Jaune Arc from RWBY, and this is the RWBY world. The world where the Gods abandon their creation because they are too salty and childish.
I am now the same dorky young man who is currently sitting alongside the other to go to Beacon Academy. I absorb his soul, memory, and power. Well, future power. What do I mean by that? I mean, because I'm taking over this body and through the power I receive from the CYOA, I awaken Jaune's aura and semblance.
Speaking of powers, I receive two types of powers from the CYOA.
The first one is called {Source of Power}. What does this mean? That means it is power that grows with time and training. I have four of them from the CYOA. The first one is Magic, the second is Aura, the third is Sorcery, and the last is Chakra.
Not only that, but I also picked bonuses from each type of power source.
Source of Power: Magic lets me absorb mana from the air or even space and grants me a magic core that can grow with time and training. The bonuses from this power source are {Mage's Staff and Robes}, {Archmage's Respite}, {Force Mana Awakening}, and {Familiar}.
The first one grants me a magic staff and a bunch of robes. All of them are magical, and the magic staff and those robes can be considered Late-Game items if we go by game terminology. The magic staff increases my magic range. That means, if a curse can only be cast when the target is within 100 meters of me, now they can be within 500 meters of me. Yup. This staff increased the range by 500%. As for the robes, they will increase the number of people my spells affect by 1. That means if my spell affects two people, it becomes three, and so on. The last one might not sound really great, right? Well, it has hidden stats that make it also affect the others' power. Yeah. As long as I wear the robe and the hat, which comes along with the robe, the effect will carry over to my other powers.
The second one is a bit special. It gives me a ring that lets me access a special pocket dimension that contains tools and notes created by an old magician. Most of the books will be something that I will not understand, but there are beginner books that will teach me the basics, and if I learn them, there is a chance I can master the more advanced books. A chance, mind you, because the note is a note, not a teaching book. I need to uncover the mystery behind all the words in those books myself. It will be hard, but when I manage to solve the mystery, it will grant me powerful spells and understanding of magic.
The third one is not for me but for anyone I consider an ally. It lets me awaken their mana; I can create a magic core inside their soul if they don't have any. The size of the core depends on their talent and affinity. However, they will always have a smaller core than I when I first awaken their mana.
The last one let me summon a familiar. It will grant me an animal companion. I have an owl, a beautiful snow owl that can cast magic. She can do magic, and her power grows alongside me. The more powerful I am, the more powerful she will be. Once I summon her, I cannot unsummon her. Because of this, I decided to wait until I entered Beacon and got accepted as a student.
The second Power Source is Aura, and it is the same as what Jaune gets from the canon timeline. As for the bonus, it grants me a slight boost in my aura capacity and regeneration, semblance (which is what Jaune has in the canon timeline), and lastly, the key to awaken someone's aura even outside the RWBY universe.
The third Power Source is Sorcery. This source of power lets me see cursed energy and control my own cursed energy. Just like with magic, I pick all the bonuses I can from the CYOA, and there are five of them. They are: {Mahoraga Wheel}, {Cursed Tool Creation}, {Power Awakening}, {Shikigami User}, and {Cursed Adaptation}.
The first bonus grants me the ability to adapt to any phenomenon, including stuff like time, space, or soul-based attacks. It takes the form of a wheel that appears in my soul. Each time it turns, it will adapt to all phenomena. The more powerful and esoteric the phenomenon, the more wheel turns are needed for the adaptation to take effect.
The second one allowed me to create a Cursed Tool. By submerging an item in the blood of a powered being, including myself, and channeling cursed energy into it, I can turn the item into a cursed tool. The item's use and history will influence the powers it gains. That means the more personal the item, the more powerful it becomes.
The third one let me awaken someone's ability to use Cursed Energy. It is simple.
The fourth one let me summon monstrous creatures resembling cursed spirits to serve as familiars, performing various tasks or aiding in battle. I know how to summon shikigami of various strength levels, but to use them, I must first tame them and make them submit to me.
The last one is the most powerful thing from this Power Source. It grants me the ability to use any technique or unique power on any people I defeat into a Cursed Technique. Yeah. As long as I defeat an opponent, I can turn their power into mine. That includes the Semblance of others.
The last Source of Power is Chakra. This grants me a chakra pathway inside of me and lets me perform Ninjutsu or even Ninshu. I take four bonuses from this power source: {Incarnation}, {Seal Master}, {8 Gates}, and {Ninshu}.
The first one makes me the incarnation of Ashura. What does this do? It grants me Wood Release, Healing Factor, and the ability to enter Six Paths Sage Mode. However, that is not the only thing. It does not bring me anything from the soul of Ashura. That means I will not take any traits from Ashura or his other incarnation. It only brings benefits without any negatives.
The second one gives me a great affinity for Fuinjutsu, which is equal to the best of Uzumaki. Not only that, but I also gained a Uzumaki Scroll of Fuinjutsu that will teach me about them from the beginning to the very end. If I manage to learn all of the things inside the scroll, I can be considered the best Seal Master if I am in the Naruto World.
The third one gets me a special version of the 8 Gates technique. It still gives me the same positive effect, but the biggest advantage is that when I open the last gate, I will not die. As long as my body can take the intense pressure of opening the 8th gate, I will not die.
The last one is Ninshu. The most obvious thing from this bonus is that I can transfer some of my chakra into someone and give them a chakra pathway. However, there is a hidden function. When I give someone some of my chakra, I will create a connection between us. It will create a better understanding of themselves and even others.
That is the Power Source. They will not start at their peak strength, but will grow along with me.
However, there is another power. This time, it is already at its peak. I have six powers. Yup. I managed to take six powers from the CYOA, but there are still dozens more powers I can choose if I want to go whammy.
Sadly, I am not going all-out.
Anyway, the powers are {Body-Mod Tinker}, {Kaleidoscope}, {Pocket Dimension}, {Inventory}, {Unlimited Potential}, and {All-Crafter}.
{Body-Mod Tinker} makes me into a Tinker (Someone who can build futuristic/alien technology) specializing in Body Modification, which mostly involves changing someone's looks through complex futuristic surgery techniques and miraculous chemicals. I can do things like grow limbs and graft them onto someone, make complex, unnatural cosmetic changes, and do medical surgery with ease. However, it goes beyond that. Things like cloning, transplanting brains, creating designer bodies, giving people a low-tier superhuman strength and durability, using improvised tools to greater success, and turning people into something completely inhuman are now within my capabilities.
{Kaleidoscope} is a simple one. It grants me the Second True Magic. I am now master of the Parallel Worlds. With enough training, I can control this power enough to let me overlap two dimensions together and change one dimension to mimic the others. Hell, I can rewrite the world itself if I want to, if I have enough control of this power. Yes, control. I have full power over it, but I don't have enough control. Hell, I don't even have enough control to absorb one of my alternate selves. If I try to do that, I know that I will absorb thousands of my alternate selves instead of one. This power is dangerous, and I need to train it before doing something delicate with it. At least, I can observe other worlds and even visit them using this power.
{Pocket Dimension} is a power that grants me a pocket dimension the size of Australia combined. The Archmage's Respite appears in this pocket dimension in the form of a Mage Tower. Through this power, I can control what is inside the pocket dimension. What kind of thing can I make inside this pocket dimension? As long as the material is not a part of a living creature, and within a radius of one kilometer of you, then I can create what I wish of it, be it a wild jungle, a giant building, a cave of meat, or something else. That means I can create a massive cave full of dust if I want to.
{Inventory} is a simple one. It gives me access to an inventory like in the games with 96 slots open, similar items are stackable, any item that I touch will be placed inside simply by willing to do so, while retrieved items can appear in a chosen area within 9 meters of me. I can designate a set of equipment or outfits to be quickly swapped using my mental commands. Just like in the game, any items stored inside the inventory will be put in stasis. Not only that, my inventory can also store living beings, but only someone who is willing. This is huge because I can store someone who is dying and take them to a medic who is far away so they can get healed.
{Unlimited Potential} is another simple one, but it is very powerful. As I train, my body adapts. While I will always look human, I no longer have a glass ceiling stopping me from becoming stronger. As long as my training is strenuous, I will always get stronger. The training has to be enough to make me sweat, and my muscles need to hurt at least a little from lactic acid build-up. However, what makes this power so useful is that I no longer get weaker. Even when I am not training for years, my strength will not diminish. The last key to make this one very important is that it also affects my other powers.
{All-Crafter} is the last one and another powerful power. I possess the ability to craft and build things using any crafting or building game mechanics, though only one at a time. Switching to another mechanic will take one week. In my mind, I'll have a sort of mental interface that mimics the interface of the chosen game. Because I have an Inventory power, crafting can utilize resources within it, in addition to any inventory provided by the chosen system. I can use my HUD to analyze existing technology, unlock new recipes, and craft methods related to it, even if the chosen system doesn't have that capability. Scanning a very advanced technology may require me first to scan some prerequisites to get any coherent result.
The last thing is the perks. It is divided into three things: {Costume}, {Gadget}, and {Perks}.
For my costume, I gained a Symbiote. It is now resting underneath my current clothes and is ready to protect me. The Symbiote has the intelligence of a dog and acts like one as well. It wants to please me and protect me from harm. This costume is special because it can access the internet through a hologram that appears in front of me when I need it. It can also be used as a scroll (This world phone), letting me call anyone I know. This costume increases my base strength and agility. Not only that, this costume also lets me fire projectiles capable of stunning, tranquilizing, or even killing someone. Lastly, the Symbiote has a force field that lets me go invisible as long as I am not moving and blocks multiple small-caliber bullets or a single heavy-caliber bullet.
{Gadget} is the big one. The first one is a massive container full of guns from my current and old worlds. Not only that, but there is also enough ammunition to equip an army for days. The second one is a flight suit. It is a three-meter suit that can fly with a top speed of 240 KM/H and protects you from flying objects, lack of air, and wind when doing so. When not in use, I change it into a backpack so as not to gather unwanted attention. The next one is Mer-Suit. It is the same as the Flight-Suit but for a water-based environment. The next one is Auto Doc, a healing station where two androids can heal nearly all types of wounds and damage done to a living creature.
The next one is a bit different than the rest. It is called The Mindbreaker. Place a person inside this machine and give it a few hours to work on them, and you are left with a sex-crazed person more beast than human. The minds of its victims will be filled with nothing but sex, and any memories and personality will be gone forever.
What? Don't look at me like that. This is a Lewd CYOA, for goodness' sake.
Anyway! The next one is a Maneuver Gear. It is something that is used in the Attack on Titan anime. Yeah. It is the grapple hook that lets those people swing around the city like Spider-Man. The next one is called Newlife Tubs. They are twenty-five fluid-filled tubs that will completely rejuvenate and heal the body of the one who spends time in them, and they can only be used once each. The liquid inside the tubs can be bottled and used to heal small injuries and simple sicknesses.
The next one is just a simple Tablet. This tablet will contain complete access to an archived version of the internet of your old world, with all the media on it. It will also contain every movie, cartoon, CD, tape, and every other type of multimedia ever created and sold in stores. The only downside? It stopped when I died. That means, the movie or episodes after the day I die will not appear.
The next one is the Universal Replicator. Just like the name suggests, this machine can create anything that the user can design, be it organic or not, without having to care about the materials needed. To use it, you will need to feed it any form of matter, be it scrap, garbage, or waste.
There is a Graviton Beam Emitter. A gun-shaped weapon that fires a gigantic beam of condensed graviton energy, with the beam literally pushing away the atoms of whatever is in its path. It recharges itself by draining energy from its wielder, and has four firing modes: Single Shot, Burst, Automatic, and Semi-Automatic.
The next one is another healing item called the Rejuvenation Chamber. This chamber will remove imperfections in someone's appearance, melt away a year of age for every day spent inside it, and leaving it after resting inside for a while will make one feel like one has spent a few days in a spa. It does not heal any wound, but it does cosmetic healing.
The next item is called Jack's Compass. A compass that can point to my heart's desire. Though indestructible, I cannot summon it back to me if I lose it. The next item is Unbreakable Blade. This sword will never dull, chip, or break. It takes the form of whatever sword I wish, but it will not copy their abilities. To complete the set, I also gained the upgraded version of Captain America's Shield. This shield is unbreakable and will expand to cover those I wish to protect.
I also got a sci-fi car. It is a self-repairing car with infinite gas. This car can take the form of any non-military land vehicle and can shrink into a keychain if not in use.
Yup. There are a lot of them, and all of them are stored inside my pocket dimension.
As for the perks, they are the basics for CYOA. {Uncontrollable Mind}, {Poker Face}, {Blindspot}, {Plot Relevance}, {Noctis Cape}, {Cloud Storage}, {Stud}, {Trump}, {Ageless}, {Static Point}, {Invictus}, {Monopoly Man}, {Creature Comfort}, and {Omni-Lingual} are what in this section.
The {Uncontrollable Mind}, {Poker Face}, {Plot Relevance}, {Ageless}, and {Omni-Lingual} are just like the name suggests.
{Blindspot} gives me immunity to any precognition and postcognition power. {Noctis Cape} makes me no longer need sleep. That doesn't mean I cannot sleep. I can sleep, but it is no longer a requirement for me. {Cloud Storage} is a perk that collects and stores my memories in a magical plane of memories. What is this used for? It ensures I don't forget anything I don't want to forget and can erase what I want to forget. {Stud} is a simple one. It lets me mate with any race and breed them without any problem. That's it. {Trump} ensures that my power can affect all kinds of power. That includes something that has resistance against my powers. {Static Point} gives me immunity to any power that tries to erase me from any time-related power. That means, if someone kills me in the past of my main timeline, they will kill, but the present me is still there.
{Invictus} is rather simple.
My soul is boundless, unyielding, unconquerable. It cannot be destroyed, subsumed, or corrupted. I will never give in to despair. I shall never fall into darkness. I am the Master of my Fate. I am the Captain of your Soul. I am Invictus.
{Monopoly Man} makes sure I always have money I can spend in any world I visit. Simple but very useful. {Creature Comfort} is something that makes my life easier. For some reason, no matter which bed I sleep on, it's always extremely comfortable to sleep in. I'm never too hot or too cold, and the mattress is never too hard or too soft, or it forms valleys where I normally sleep, unless I want that. This is perfect because I will travel a lot in the future.
I shake my head and look outside the window of the bullhead. I can see the massive academy in the distance, and I cannot help but be excited to attend Beacon. This will be my first action in this second life, and I cannot help but feel excited.
Beacon, here I come.
