Chapter 5 - The Decision That Shocked The Financial Circle Of The Imperial Capital!

Johnson shook his head and said excitedly: "I don't know. Hundreds of people in the company are so excited that they can't find out any specific news."

"I'll go and find out later."

Negan said with a smile: "There are many capable people, it has nothing to do with us, just work hard and get off work early."

Johnson complained: "You are too calm, this is a matter that detonated the financial circle of the imperial capital."

"So exaggerated?" Negan asked.

"Of course, of the 32 top financial companies in the imperial capital, only Link Finance is the only one who avoided risks in time. Not only did they not lose money, but they also made a small profit. The whole circle was shocked."

"Our company's decision-making is really awesome, and many people are inquiring about who gave Ms. Ruby the advice."

"The person who gave the idea to Ms. Ruby probably will not be short of money in this life."

Negan nodded, agreeing with Johnson's words.

People with this ability are indeed not short of money.

Such as Negan.

After chatting with Johnson for a while, Negan went back to work.

Today is Happy Thursday.

As long as you get off work today and stay up all day tomorrow, you can spend the weekend!

Five p.m.

Negan got up and got off work on time.

The work had long been done.

After leaving work at five and going to bed at twelve, Negan had seven hours of free time.

"It's a pity that Little Fur ball is gone."

Negan was a little regretful as he walked towards the elevator.

At the same time.

Next to Negan's house, 1503, Building 5, Royal View.

Ruby opened the door and walked in.

30 new outfits were prepared in the room.

There were also some daily necessities.

Ruby sat on the sofa and sent a message to Nina.

"After five o'clock, all the work, you handle it for me. What you can't handle, wait until I go to work the next day to deal with it."

Nina replied in seconds: "Okay, Ms. Ruby."

Ruby was just about to put down the phone when a message popped up.

"What happened yesterday? You haven't made it clear to us."

Ruby's head hurt when she saw the message.

The person who sent it was Lily.

Ruby's mother.

She could scold the directors of the company with ease, but dealing with her mom was a different beast.

"I have my own business, Mom, don't worry about me."

Lily: "What business can you have? It's either work or work all day long. You can't disappear again. You scared me and your dad to death."

Ruby: "Okay, before I disappear in the future, I'll tell you in advance, okay?"

Lily: "?"

Lily: "You still want to disappear?"

Ruby: "It's business, really."

Lily: "What business?"

Ruby thought for a while and replied, "Seeing someone—the person who gave me the idea to dump Dot Energy stock."

Lily replied instantly: "Male or female? How old are they?"

Ruby's scalp went numb: "Mom, don't think too much, it's business."

Lily: "Oh, if you can bring a boyfriend back, I'll let you go, okay?"

Ruby was only 25 this year, still very young.

But she had never even had a boyfriend.

Lily was getting anxious.

Ruby refused: "How can dating be as interesting as making money? I'm not interested in men."

Lily: "It's really not good, I can accept girls too."

Ruby coughed loudly: "Mom!"

Lily: "Either give me a reasonable explanation and let me see what you're doing, or bring me a son-in-law back. You choose."

Ruby gritted her teeth and replied: "Fine, I'll bring one back, okay?"

No choice—she knew her mother well.

Lily was a good person. She never bullied others despite their wealth and was very respectful.

But once she wanted an answer, she would never let go.

Iron-headed mom.

Ruby could only choose to stall for time.

She'd deal with it later.

Her mom couldn't eat her alive.

After the chat, it was exactly five o'clock.

Ruby felt a strange sensation.

Like an urgency.

Then, in an instant.

Ruby turned into a cat again.

"Sure enough, it happened again."

"Time to act."

Ruby waited a bit, then ran to the door, jumped up, reluctantly opened it, and squeezed through.

The door had been redesigned.

It would close by itself.

And the lock had been replaced with a combination lock.

The next day, when Ruby slipped out, she could come back and change without needing a key.

Perfect!

Ruby waited at the door of Negan's house.

A minute passed.

Ruby instinctively wanted to sit down and then lie down.

She had a busy day and ate before transforming again.

She was so sleepy now.

No!

Just as she was about to lie down, she forced her cat legs to stand straight!

She was a stubborn woman!

How could she really lie there like a pet waiting for someone?

It felt like Negan was her master.

She was Negan's boss!

She was a capitalist!

Negan was her employee—her servant!

She had to be proud.

She would stand and wait!

Like a master waiting for the servant to come home!

Ten minutes later.

Ruby lay on the ground and fell asleep.

And she slept soundly.

Five forty-five.

Negan came home.

Just as he was about to open the door, he saw Little kitty lying on the ground!

Negan was stunned for a moment, then excitedly lifted her by the scruff of the neck!

"Little pussy, you actually came back?!"

Ruby was jolted awake and felt a surge of anger from being carried like that!

Is this how you treat your president?!

And what was with that name? Little pussy?

Sounded like some kinda sexual slang!

But no matter how angry she was…

Negan had already picked her up by the scruff, leaving her powerless to resist.

Negan opened the door, entered the house, and placed her on the ground.

"Welcome home," Negan said with a smile.

Ruby snorted in disdain.

This wasn't home.

She came to gather intel, and incidentally, evaluate the employee's quality.

If Negan performed well, maybe she'd promote him.

When it was all over and she figured out how to stop becoming a cat, she wouldn't come back again.

As for treating this place as home?

Impossible!

She was the president—you really thought she was some pet?!
