Chapter 1 - Episode 1: Discovery and Death

On a cold and quiet night, Hiroshi, a young man who was an avid online gamer, accidentally stumbled upon a strange link circulating on a dark web forum. The link led to a very simple website just a blank page with a single glowing red link that read: "Play Doom Game." There was no other information, just an enticing "Launch" button. Hiroshi was curious. At the time, he didn't know that his decision that night would destroy his life.

With a mix of excitement and unexplainable curiosity, Hiroshi clicked the button. A closed application in the form of a small black box appeared on his computer screen, displaying a large title in a jagged blood-red font: Doom Game: The Real Apocalypse. A sentence appeared beneath it that sent chills down his spine: "Finish it or die. Choose wisely."

Without compromise, the screen faded, and the game began.

The first level was an abandoned house shrouded in darkness. The creaking of wood and faint footsteps filled Hiroshi's headset. Cold wind seemed to seep through the cracks in the windows. His hands trembled as he gripped the mouse and keyboard, his breathing quickening.

A simple command appeared: Exit the house without encountering the dark creature. A task that seemed easy at first, but as he explored, black shadows began to flicker on the edge of the screen. The sound of faint breathing grew louder, and suddenly a blurred figure flashed in the corner of his eye. His heart pounded.

He tried to escape, but a terrifying scream rang so clearly that it made his skin crawl. A cold sensation crept from his toes all the way to his head. The game screen went blank and Hiroshi fell completely silent.

Days later, Hiroshi's friends, who knew he had played a strange game, grew worried. He had vanished from their circles, stopped answering calls and messages. His once cheerful demeanor turned gloomy and anxious. Day by day, he became reclusive and afraid of his own shadow.

Then one dreadful night, something horrific happened: Hiroshi was found dead hanging in his room. There was no suicide note, only a glowing laptop beside his lifeless body, still displaying the game's black screen with pulsing red text: "Defeat = Death."

Police and family were baffled by the tragic death. There were no signs of struggle. Security cameras recorded no one entering his room. All that remained was fear and a dark mystery surrounding the Doom Game.

Some people began to whisper that the game was more than just entertainment. That there was a curse inside it, binding the souls of the defeated to death or destruction. But the true answer remained hidden behind that mysterious black screen.

And the game still waits for its next player to enter…

Are you brave enough?

In a small apartment corner in Tokyo, Akira sat motionless in front of his laptop screen. The past days had been filled with darkness and silence. Job loss, broken relationships, and creeping despair had nearly broken his spirit. The world felt hollow void of hope.

While staring at a screen full of rejection emails and piling bills, a message popped up from an underground forum he had once visited:

"There's a new game. Not for everyone. But maybe it can open your path."

Beneath it, a simple link in bold red: "Play Doom Game."

Akira gasped. What did it mean? A game? At a time when he felt he had nothing left, curiosity and a sliver of desperate hope started to grow. Without a second thought, he clicked the link as if his fate depended on that decision.

The laptop screen shook and turned pitch black, flashing red words: "Finish it or die."

In the cold night of Tokyo, Akira stepped into a world he had never imagined a world where the line between reality and nightmare blurred.

Akira stared cautiously at his laptop screen. The black screen had now changed to show the main menu with flashing red text:

"Doom Game: The Real Apocalypse."

Below were several level options, but only one was unlocked: Level 1 - Abandoned House.

Akira (whispering): "What does this mean? 'Abandoned House'? This doesn't look like a normal game."

In the corner of the screen, a warning message appeared in gothic-style font:

"Every mistake can be fatal. Finish it or suffer the consequences."

Akira (nervous): "Finish or die? Is this a joke? But… I don't have any other choice."

He clicked Start, and the screen transformed into a 3D scene of an old house with a slowly creaking door. A chilling wind seemed to blow from the screen, raising goosebumps on his skin.

Akira (softly): "This feels so real… This isn't just a game…"

On the side of the screen, instructions appeared:

Exit the house without encountering the dark creature.

Remember: shadows can follow your steps.

Do not turn around while walking.

Akira: "Don't turn around? Why? This is getting scary…"

Suddenly, a whispering voice echoed in his ear, like something from the darkness:

"Losing… means… the end…"

Akira (startled): "Who's there!? What's going on?!"

But the game screen remained black, only the game title pulsating red with threat.

Akira now understood this was no ordinary game. It was something far more dangerous. But in despair, he felt trapped in an invisible maze: survive in the real world, or gamble with a game leading him to the edge of death.

After a few minutes of staring at the screen, a mixture of fear and confusion boiling within him, Akira sighed deeply. He felt too alone to face this horror.

With trembling hands, Akira grabbed his phone and searched for his friend Kazuki's name a skilled gamer who often helped him with difficult games. He pressed Call.

Akira: "Kazuki, are you still awake? I need your help. I found a strange game… and it's not just a game."

Kazuki (surprised): "What game? Are you serious? Tell me everything!"

Akira explained from the beginning how he found the mysterious link, the terrifying interface, and the haunting message: "Finish or die."

Kazuki: "Damn! That sounds like an urban legend. But don't panic yet. Send me a screenshot of the game screen, and I'll see what I can find."

While waiting for a reply, Akira's heartbeat quickened. The game screen behind him still emitted a threatening, unexplainable aura.

Akira (in his heart): "I hope Kazuki can help. I can't face this alone…"

But what Akira didn't know was that every step he took even the decision to ask for help drew him closer to the darkness waiting in the shadows.

Seconds later, Akira's phone vibrated with a message from Kazuki. He opened it with hope fluttering in his chest.

Kazuki: "I'll help you, Akira. Don't worry we'll beat this crazy game together. Send me all the details you have."

Akira uploaded several screenshots and a short video he had recorded while playing. Kazuki began analyzing them carefully, sending tips and strategies while speaking via voice call so Akira could follow in real time.

Kazuki: "Okay, from what I can see, you need to be very careful with those black shadows. Never turn around, and move slowly to avoid traps."

With Kazuki's support on the other end of the line, Akira felt a little calmer, though the tension still hung thick in the dark room.

Akira: "Thanks, Kazuki. I hope we can get through this without anyone getting hurt."

But what Akira didn't know was that every move, even reaching out for help, brought him closer to the lurking darkness.

Akira sat in front of his laptop, headset secured tightly, while Kazuki gave instructions one by one over the voice call. Both focused intently as they navigated the dark corridors of the game that felt far too real.

Kazuki: "Careful at that corner, Akira. A shadow just appeared."

Akira: "I see it! I almost turned around… I can't!"

The atmosphere grew more intense as they heard breathing sounds and soft footsteps that seemed to come not from the game, but from the room around them.

Suddenly, the light in Akira's room flickered and briefly went out, sending his heart racing. It came back on seconds later, but the laptop screen trembled violently and a whisper echoed through his headset:

"FAILURE… MEANS… THE END…"

Akira jolted, dropping his mouse. He struggled to calm himself, sweat pouring down his face. Kazuki, hearing what happened, grew concerned.

Kazuki: "Akira? What's happening? Are you okay?"

Akira: "The light went out for a second… and I heard something. This isn't just a game, Kazuki."

Kazuki tried to stay calm and help Akira continue. But strange things were happening to him too. In another part of the city, Kazuki began to feel a chill in the air and faint, unclear whispers around him.

They both realized this game was more than entertainment. Their presence now seemed tied to a creeping darkness ready to consume anyone who failed.

After the blackout and terrifying whispers, Akira and Kazuki continued cautiously, the fear clinging to them like fog.

Akira felt the room grow colder, his breath shaky as he held the mouse with trembling fingers. His heart beat wildly, threatening to burst from his chest.

Kazuki: "This is insane, Akira. It's like a nightmare come to life."

Akira: "I feel it too… The shadows in the game don't feel virtual. It's like they're following me."

The further they progressed, the darker and more terrifying the game became. Whispers and faint footsteps seemed to echo just behind them.

Fear and unease clouded their minds. They knew failure didn't mean just restarting the game but possibly facing death in reality.

Akira (whispering loudly): "Kazuki, we have to find a way out. I don't want this to end like Hiroshi's story."

Kazuki (firmly): "We'll get through this together. I won't leave you alone."

But beneath their resolve, another fear remained unspoken had they already gone too far? Had they become part of something far more horrifying?

In the silence of the night, Akira and Kazuki sat frozen in front of their screens. But as time passed, an eerie feeling crept over their skin like something was watching from the shadows of the room.

Akira glanced around but found nothing unusual. A cold mist slipped through a cracked window, and the city noise outside faded into silence.

Akira (soft whisper): "Kazuki, do you feel it? Something's… different tonight."

Kazuki (hoarse voice): "I do. It feels like something's standing behind me, but when I look… there's nothing there."

The air felt thick and cold, as if an invisible breath brushed between them.

On screen, the black shadows in the game became more vivid, moving in sync with their actions. But in the real world, those shadows began to manifest beings they couldn't see, only feel.

Akira (shivering): "This has gone beyond a game. What's happening to us?"

Kazuki (voice shaking): "I don't know… but I feel like we're not alone anymore."

Fear and uncertainty engulfed the night, as darkness pressed on their bodies and minds.

The tension in the room peaked. Akira and Kazuki, eyes locked on their screens, felt an unseen presence growing closer behind them. The air became biting cold, and their hearts thundered.

Akira (panicked whisper): "Kazuki… I feel like something's following us."

Kazuki (gasping): "Me too… but I'm scared to look."

But the tension became unbearable. In a frozen moment, Kazuki slowly turned around with trembling hands and heavy breath.

Suddenly, darkness surged into the light a faceless, horrifying figure appeared behind him. A piercing scream escaped Kazuki's mouth before it abruptly cut off, as if the darkness had stolen his voice.

Akira heard a loud thud. Kazuki lay on the floor, his face pale, his eyes wide in sheer terror. But as Akira tried to reach for him, the figure vanished like mist scattered by night wind.

Akira (screaming): "Kazuki! Wake up! What happened?!"

But Kazuki didn't move. A glowing red message flashed on both laptop screens:

"DEFEAT = THE END"

The horror became real. They were trapped in a game that offered no escape.

Akira stood frozen, heart pounding and hands shaking after watching Kazuki collapse. Anxious dread coursed through his body, as if the shadows were pressing into his very thoughts.

His eyes locked on the laptop screen, filled with dread. Suddenly, the screen flickered and a terrifying image appeared Kazuki, now in a far more horrific state: his pale, torn face, his half-closed eyes contorted in unbearable pain.

Akira (whispering in despair): "Kazuki… what happened to you? We have to find a way out of this game!"

A whisper from the game echoed again clearer and colder than ever:

"Finish it… or be lost forever…"

Akira knew time was running out. But horror and confusion wrapped around him like the darkness of night.

Despite the fear and anxiety, Akira clung to a fierce determination. He knew the only way out of this nightmare was to finish the game.

With trembling hands and ragged breath, he carefully guided his character through the game. Every step was cautious as he dodged shadows and lurking threats.

The eerie whispers continued, but Akira no longer cared. He focused on the screen, suppressing the fear and dread within him.

Akira (muttering): "I have to finish this… for Kazuki… for myself."

Time passed slowly, and when the screen finally displayed "Level Complete," a heavy weight lifted off his shoulders. But peace lasted only seconds before another dreadful message appeared:

"This is only the beginning…"

Though the nightmare had not ended, Akira knew that one dark episode had closed. But the journey toward a more dangerous truth had only just begun.

After surviving the nerve-wracking test inside the terrifying game, Akira lay limp in his room. His body felt heavy, barely able to move, and his mind was still haunted by the shadows he had just endured.

He stared at the gloomy ceiling, feeling trapped between the real world and a nightmare that wasn't over. The ticking of the wall clock gave off a monotone rhythm that only added to the pressure.

Akira clutched his blanket tightly, as if it were the only thing keeping him tethered to reality.

On the corner of his desk, the laptop screen still glowed faintly, once again displaying the message that chilled his blood:

"This is only the beginning…"

Akira knew that even though he had completed the first level, the shadows hadn't vanished. Greater horrors might lie ahead.

After a night filled with fear and tension, Akira finally fell asleep, exhausted beyond measure. But the nightmares didn't stop in his dreams.

The next morning, as he awoke, Akira turned on the television to check the news. But what he saw froze his blood: a report about the tragic and mysterious death of Kazuki, his friend.

Kazuki's once cheerful face was displayed on screen, along with a photo of the grim scene and a brief report of the unexplained cause of death.

Akira (trembling): "Kazuki… this can't be… after everything that happened last night…"

Fear, guilt, and confusion consumed Akira. He realized the game wasn't mere entertainment it was a real threat, now claiming lives around him.

With teary eyes, Akira turned to the open laptop on his desk, still showing the final haunting message:

"This is only the beginning…"
