Chapter 66 - Brotherhood of Mutants Camp

Cyclops's earnest and anxious plea came from behind.

Russell turned around. The tone Cyclops used to speak to him was like someone who didn't want to see a child go astray.

Undoubtedly, Professor X was speaking.

"Confused?

I'm not confused by anyone."

He seemed to see an old man sitting in a wheelchair, anxious and wishing he could fly over immediately.

"It's just that we happen to have similar goals."

"Professor X, one of the two poles of Mutants. Among the Mutant community, almost no one hasn't heard your name. But compared to the notorious and extreme Magneto,

I also don't approve of your path!"

"The prejudices in people's hearts are not something you can easily reverse by leading the X-Men to do a few good deeds for humans."

"Child…" Professor X was a little heartbroken.

"Mutants don't need to live on human pity and sympathy. Just like antelopes don't have to work for zebras, and antelopes don't necessarily have to integrate into the zebra community."

"Since present society doesn't accept Mutants, I will establish a country exclusively for Mutants. There, Mutants can live freely, and the two groups won't interfere with each other."

Russell looked at Wolverine and Storm, finally extending an invitation.

"The soon-to-be-established Mutant country will open its arms to any Mutant, including you. If anyone wants to come, I welcome them all."

Storm was also an Omega-level Mutant, but like Iceman, her potential was often not apparent. He wasn't in a hurry to acquire her template.

"Who does he think he is? He hasn't even joined yet and is already acting like the boss."

Quicksilver folded his arms and grumbled to his sister, Scarlet Witch.

Although their old Magneto had always looked down on him as a son in every way,

Russell's leadership demeanor as soon as he joined them, as if he was about to take complete charge in the Brotherhood of Mutants, still annoyed Quicksilver.

"A country belonging to Mutants?

Can it really be done?"

Watching Russell and the others fly away, Storm withdrew her gaze, her face complex, and looked back at her two teammates.

Mutants have been discriminated against and lived a life of displacement for too long.

Everyone longs for a haven without strange looks, where Mutants can live freely.

"Heh, who knows.

Is he an ambitious person or a dreamer? It's hard to say yet…"

In the ruins of the military Base, Wolverine took out a cigar, put it in his mouth, and took a puff, letting out a cold laugh.

Having lived for nearly two hundred years, he had seen too many examples of ambitious people shouting slogans and pretending to be righteous, or idealists whose beliefs collapsed and went astray, becoming evil dragons. It was nothing new.

He had long learned not to give away hope easily.

"I hope he can maintain his original intention and not be influenced by Eric."

Watching Russell fly away, Professor X hadn't seen such a potential young man in a long time. The fact that he didn't agree with his ideals at all made him sigh with a sense of loss.

"This is your headquarters?

It looks like a vagrant camp."

In a tent camp on a jungle hillside, Russell slowly landed on the ground and looked at Magneto.

The headquarters of the world-renowned Terrorist group, the Brotherhood of Mutants, was actually just a tent camp set up against a mountain. If you didn't know better, you'd think they were vagrants having a picnic in the jungle.

"So many Mutant compatriots are still suffering.

Our cause is not yet complete, and we're already starting to enjoy ourselves?"

Magneto chuckled and patted Russell's shoulder. The people in the camp saw Magneto return and all got up to greet him.

"Let me introduce you. This is Avalanche. He can create seismic waves to cause a small earthquake, or a tsunami to engulf a small city."

Avalanche was strong, with folded arms, wearing a silver armor suit and a helmet on his head. He looked at Russell with surprise, who had been invited into the camp by Magneto with unprecedented courtesy.

"This is Blob. He can control the ground's gravitational field beneath his feet to enhance his strength and disperse damage across the ground beneath him. Even missile bombardment can't move him…"

Blob was just like his name, as fat as a small mountain. He was always eating, devouring a chicken leg.

"This is Pyro, this is Toad…"

Everyone looked at the young Russell, guessing who he was, what his abilities were, and why he was so highly regarded by Magneto.

"These are the ones currently in the camp. There are also some people who have been sent on missions to various places and aren't here temporarily, Sabretooth, Mystique, etc… I'll introduce them to you another day."

Magneto introduced the core members of the Brotherhood to Russell one by one.

Finally, he spoke solemnly and seriously to everyone, raising his voice a little.

"From now on, you should respect Infinitoid almost as much as you respect me."

"Infinitoid?

What are his abilities?"

The hot-tempered and arrogant Pyro John chuckled, playing with the lighter in his hand, chin raised, looking at Russell provocatively.

This guy looked two or three years younger than him. Why could he immediately be above everyone else as soon as he arrived?

Others also had different expressions on their faces, and there was a slight uproar in the camp.

In the eyes of human society, the Brotherhood of Mutants was a group of Terrorists. Although some were far from being completely inhumane, they were almost all rebellious and ruthless bandits. It would be strange if they could easily submit to someone.

"My ability is to help people lose weight quickly."

Russell wasn't surprised at all and chuckled.

"That's it?"

Pyro was stunned, as if he hadn't expected such a useless ability, and laughed disdainfully.

"Haha… Hah… Hah…"

As he laughed, a blue light hit him. Pyro's throat tightened like someone who hadn't drunk Water in three years. His laughter suddenly became dry and weak, and his body shriveled into a mummy.

The others were shocked and stepped back.

Pyro stopped laughing, like a person put together with dry branches, skin and bones, kneeling weakly on the ground.

"My… my body, what did you do to me."

The lighter fell to the side. His fingers seemed to have muscle weakness, unable to even pick up a lighter. He struggled to look up, his face filled with fear, his breathing like a broken bellows.

He had become a useless person who struggled to even breathe.

"Didn't I say?

I helped you lose weight quickly."

Russell still chuckled, but in the eyes of Pyro and the others, it was the smile of a demon.

Actually, he didn't do much, just used Eve's ability to control molecules to reduce Pyro's body fat and muscle cells to the extreme, only enough to keep a person lying like a corpse in bed.

Now, let alone being arrogant, Pyro was almost suffocating.

The others' gazes towards Russell changed immediately, filled with fear. They had to admit that killing a chicken to scare the monkeys was always effective.

"Alright.

Pyro has that kind of personality. Spare him this time."

Magneto smiled, as if he wasn't surprised by this scene at all.

He knew how powerful Russell was, but when Pyro couldn't restrain his arrogance and came out to provoke him, he didn't warn him at all, watching Pyro being dealt with by Russell.

No matter how much he said with his mouth, it wasn't as effective as direct action to intimidate.

Russell understood this implicitly and gave Magneto face, waving his hand to restore Pyro's body. Pyro staggered to his feet, clenching the lighter tightly.

His eyes towards Russell were filled with both anger and fear, like a beaten stray dog, unwilling but also a little scared of being beaten, not daring to continue baring his teeth at people.
