Chapter 1 - NetOS

It was a quiet afternoon in Tokyo when Alexi Kamuro, an ordinary 15 years old with a passion for technology, sat hunched over his computer desk. His room was dim, the only light coming from the screen of his PC. His fingers flew across the keyboard, entering lines of code that seemed to hold endless possibilities. He'd spent months working on this project, and today, it felt like it was finally coming to life.

"C'mon, just a little more." Alexi muttered to himself, a look of determination on his face.

The system beeped, and a new window popped up on the screen, flashing in a deep blue. At the top, it read: 'NetOS - The Future of Computing.'

"NetOS?" Alexi blinked in surprise. He hadn't heard of it before. His curiosity piqued and then, he clicked on the window.

"Welcome, Alexi Kamuro," the screen blinked, displaying his name in bold white letters. "You are among the first to experience NetOS, a new frontier in digital exploration. Please proceed to set up your environment."

Alexi leaned forward, intrigued. "Wait a minute... this looks unreal... is this some kind of joke?!" He glanced around his room, as if expecting someone to jump out and say 'Gotcha!' But there was no one, and then the screen blinked again.

"Do you wish to create a new program?"

"Yeah, sure." Alexi said, half to himself. He'd been coding for years, developing small games and learning new languages. But this... this was different.

"Please specify the project type."

Alexi thought for a moment. "An MMO." He typed quickly, his fingers barely keeping up with his thoughts. "Somerhing massive. Something that connects people, something that changes the way we play. I'll call it... 'The Game of the Net'."

The screen responded with a flashing message: "Project creation in progress. Would you like to add special parameters?"

"Parameters?" Alexi muttered. "What do you mean by that?"

"NetOS allows for complete customization of your game world. Feel free to input any environment, gameplay features, or virtual laws you wish to estabilish."

Alexi stared at the screen, wide-eyed. A world of possibilities opened before him. He could create anything. He quickly typed:

"A neon environment, futuristic, open-world, level-up and interactive NPCs. I want this game to feel alive."

The screen flickered again, this time displaying a prompt: "The Game of the Net: Initialization. Please wait."

After some moments a notification popped up: "Initialization complete. Would you like to test your game now?"

Alexi took a deep breath, his pulse quickening. He didn't know why, but something about this felt... monumental. He clicked the 'Yes' option, not understanding what he was about to trigger.

The screen went black

For a moment, there was nothing but silence. Then, a burst of color flooded the monitor: neon lights and digital skies. It was as if he was staring at the future.

"This is amazing..."

Suddenly, the room around him seemed to fade, and the sounds of his room, the hum of his computer, began to blur. Alexi felt a strange sensation. He stood up, but his feet felt as though they weren't touching the ground anymore.

"What the hell is happening?!?!" He shouted, looking around in confusion.

A voice, deep and resonant, echoed in his mind, but the room was empty. "Create environment, Alexi. Your creation awaits."

Alexi eyes widened. "What do you mean?!?"

The voice was calm, almost soothing. "Your game is alive, Alexi. It is time to shape it."

Before he could react, a flash of light enveloped him, and the ground beneath his feet felt soft, like a digital cloud. His heart raced. The screen in front of him seemed to pulse, and suddenly, Alexi was no longer in his room: he was in the game.

"Oh my God," Alexi whispered. "This is real. It's real!!!"
