Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: CNo.107 – Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!

Why did Li Yuu—a Blue-Eyes user—have access to Rank-Up Magic – The Seventh One… and even Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon?

The answer was simple.

They were his reward for completing his starter mission with a perfect score on the entrance exam.

Now, in the center of the field, a radiant galactic vortex surged into existence—light compressing into dense rings of spiraling starlight. The power spilling from it was enough to silence the crowd.

Then—

A deafening dragon's roar shattered the sky, echoing into the heavens!

Even if Aka Natsuyama and Ye Kun wanted to deny it, they couldn't anymore.

Reality had just steamrolled their expectations.

Li Yuu drew two cards from his Extra Deck and slapped them onto his duel disk in sequence.

He raised his voice, chanting like a priest calling down a cosmic god:

"Galaxies twisted in reverse, time reborn from before its birth—resurrect, star beyond eternity!"

"Chaos Xyz Evolution—descend, CNo.107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!!"

— CNo.107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon

— Rank 9 / ATK: 4500

ROOOOAAAAAR!!!

From the eye of the storm rose a massive inverted pyramid, its golden edges gleaming with divine fury—like a spear plunging through the heart of the universe.

Even passersby who hadn't been watching the duel now stopped in awe, pulled in by the overwhelming energy.

"What the hell is going on over there?!"

"Holy crap, that monster's insane! It's got to have at least 4000 ATK!"

"Is this really a duel… or a summoning ritual?!"

Li Yuu extended his hand.

The pyramid split open with a thunderous CRACK, sending shockwaves that made the spectators stumble and cover their faces.

And from the radiant heart of that golden blaze—

A three-headed golden dragon unfurled its wings, each pair massive enough to blot out the sky. The creature floated above the field, defying reality itself.

Each of its six eyes glittered like galactic cores—burning with the destructive potential of a collapsing star.

The pressure was so absolute, so royal, that people began kneeling instinctively. It wasn't just a monster.

It was a god.

"RRAAAAAAAAAAARRRGHH!!!"

Aka Natsuyama's knees buckled. He barely stopped himself from collapsing outright.

His precious Fiendish Dragon Lord—once an indomitable wall—now looked like a toy soldier in the shadow of a titanic colossus.

He wanted to cry.

"Where's the balance here?! How do you start a duel and instantly summon CNo.107?! That card hasn't shown up in years! I only read about it in fairy tales and middle school textbooks!"

Kyūyō Tenma stared wide-eyed, jaw slack.

"To see the real Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon… it's like watching a god descend! I can't believe it… I'm actually seeing it!"

In Koujin, recovering from the shock, murmured in awe.

"I never imagined Li Yuu would have that card…"

He turned to Aka Natsuyama and shook his head with genuine pity.

"That Ophion field lock really does shut down high-Level monsters. It's a nightmare for Blue-Eyes players."

"But no one expected Li Yuu to have Xyz monsters. And Xyz monsters don't have Levels—they use Ranks."

"And this one? This isn't just any Rank. That's Rank 9. Chaos Xyz. A completely different league."

Aka Natsuyama was drenched in cold sweat.

He had never considered that Li Yuu's deck might include an Xyz variant—much less a boss monster so broken that one finger could flatten his Ophion.

His only shred of hope?

The face-down card he'd kept in his backrow: Mirror Force.

But Li Yuu wasn't going to give him even that.

"I activate Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon's effect—by detaching 1 Xyz Material…"

"All face-up cards on your field lose their effects—and you can't activate any of them for the rest of the turn!"

"TIME TYRANT!!!"

Aka Natsuyama's mouth opened in horror—like a fish yanked out of water—gasping, eyes wide, mind blank.

He forgot to chain his Quick-Play spell.

He forgot to respond at all.

Because he knew—

It was already over.

Watching from afar, Ye Kun facepalmed and groaned, teeth grinding.

"Zhu's cooked. That card's completely busted. What's he supposed to do against that?"

But then a thought flickered through his mind… and his eyes gleamed with greed.

"Still… this duel revealed something incredible."

"Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon… That's a treasure of the Xyz Alliance. It shouldn't belong to an outsider."

"A card like that… only someone like me, Ye Kun, deserves to wield it."

He clenched his fists.

In his mind, he already owned it.

Back in the duel—

The three-headed golden titan let out another roar, warping the very air around it. Reality shimmered—then distorted like a black-and-white film frozen in time.

That was its pressure.

Crushing. Overwhelming. Final.

Under that aura, everything on Aka Natsuyama's field—every trap, every monster—was shackled. Powerless.

Even Ophion lowered its head, unable to resist.

It wasn't its fault.

It wasn't weak.

The enemy was just… a mobile nuclear weapon.

Three blazing chains snapped into place, locking down all three of Aka Natsuyama's set cards.

Zhu stood trembling, hands shaking, hope gone.

Li Yuu shook his head with a sigh.

"Is that it?"

"No resistance? No struggle? Not even a little thrill?"

Zhu grit his teeth and forced a glare.

"Don't… get cocky. All you've done is summon a high-ATK boss. Big deal!"

"Xyz monsters need materials to activate their effects. Your [No.] dragon used up its only one already!"

"You can't finish me off!"

Li Yuu smirked.

"Is that so?"

He held up another card.

"Then allow me to summon—Primal Dragon!"

— Primal Dragon

— Level 4 / ATK: 2000

A golden pen casing shimmered into view, floating beside him. It unraveled like armor—scales of ink and gold—forming a serpentine dragon that coiled with elegance and danger.

Ink wings spread wide, dripping cosmic stardust.

"Next," Li Yuu continued, playing a Spell Card, "I activate Mini Valor."

"By tributing Primal Dragon, I target your Ophion—and reduce its ATK to zero!"

BOOM!

Ophion's body lurched, a black vortex pulling away its power. Its mighty form flickered—its crushing pressure vanished.

"And one more thing," Li Yuu said, eyes glinting.

"This turn—when I destroy your Ophion by battle, I deal you bonus damage equal to its original ATK."

Aka Natsuyama's legs buckled again.

That meant—

He wasn't just going to lose.

He was going to be obliterated.
