Shui Ning, the Principal of Skywater Academy, and the Vice Leader of the Water Clan.
"Aren't we paying for the decision we made years ago?" she said softly.
"Allowing the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan to establish Thunder Academy and gain a foothold in Elemental City…"
Feng Lao sighed deeply.
"We understood the risk back then. That's why we tried to invite the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan into the city—to muddy the waters and keep the balance."
Shui Ning shook her head faintly.
"I think Ning Fengzhi saw through our intentions. He has no interest in becoming our sword against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan."
Huo Tian's expression darkened.
"Then what are we supposed to do?" he snapped.
"If we submit, our fate won't be any better than those subsidiary clans under the Clear Sky Clan. Look at them now—most are nothing more than abandoned dogs."
The room fell silent.
After a moment, Shui Ning hesitated before speaking again.
"We could… ask Spirit Hall."
Feng Lao immediately shook his head.
"Elemental City was meant to be neutral. Submitting to anyone won't truly change our fate."
His gaze shifted toward Shui Ning, growing heavier.
"But your situation is worse than ours."
Shui Ning stiffened slightly.
"Skywater Academy has the highest number of female Soul Masters," Feng Lao continued.
"And I'm sure you've heard the rumors about the lustful nature of certain Lightning Dragons…"
Huo Wu, Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er who were present had their face instantly paled, as her fingers clenched tightly at her side.
Shui Ning inhaled sharply, then spoke with forced calm.
"Then… we submit to Spirit Hall."
Huo Tian let out a cold laugh, pouring water over that fragile hope.
"You're too late."
He looked around the room, his gaze heavy.
"There are than five Level 89 Soul Douluo currently stationed inside Thunder Academy."
His voice was low, but every word struck like a hammer.
"I don't think they'll allow us to leave this city..."
Dong— Dong—
Suddenly a deep, solemn sound of a bell echoed through Elemental City, rolling across rooftops and streets like a slow tide.
Huo Tian's brows knitted tightly. His already foul mood worsened.
"What is, Bishop Rolin in Spirit Hall doing now?" he muttered irritably. "I thought the Angel Goddess's sermon ended this morning."
Shui Ning was also startled. She instinctively glanced toward the window, as if trying to locate the source of the sound.
"I don't know…" she said slowly. "But Yu Yuanzhen will be arriving any moment now."
A sharp, authoritative announcement suddenly spread throughout Elemental City, amplified by soul power and echoed from street to street, academy to academy.
"Attention to all residents of Elemental City!"
"The esteemed Clan Leader of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan,
Yu Yuanzhen, has arrived!"
The words struck the conference room like a thunderbolt.
Huo Tian's fist clenched unconsciously, Feng Lao's shoulders slumped as if a mountain had been placed upon them and Shui Ning's smile froze
"So fast…" Feng Lao murmured bitterly.
Only a few minutes passed—far too little time to discuss countermeasures, far too little time to prepare anything worthwhile—
When a booming, arrogant voice thundered from outside the conference hall, carrying with it overwhelming pressure.
"Ha! Ha! Ha!"
The laughter was wild, domineering, and filled with an unmistakable sense of superiority.
"What is this?" the voice continued, laced with mockery.
"I, Yu Yuanzhen, the Clan Leader, personally come to meet the leaders of the Elemental Clans—"
"And what do I see?"
"That all of you are hiding inside like frightened turtles!"
Boom—!
The doors of the conference room trembled violently under a wave of soul power, cracks spreading along the wooden surface.
Every person inside turned pale.
The younger generation instinctively straightened their backs, but their hearts pounded violently.
This was the power of a Peak Titled Douluo.
Huo Tian stood up slowly, forcing himself to remain calm despite the suffocating aura pressing down on his chest.
"So… he didn't even wait for us to come greet him," Feng Lao said with a bitter smile.
Shui Ning closed her eyes briefly, then opened them again—clear, resolute, yet tinged with despair.
"There is no avoiding it anymore," she said softly.
"The tiger has entered the city… and it has already bared its fangs, he will not accept anything less than our surrender."

Some time later, Yu Yuanzhen was already seated at the conference table.
He had simply barged in moments ago, shattered the doors with his presence, and taken the seat at the head of the table as though it had always belonged to him.
His towering figure leaned back casually, one arm draped over the chair. His sharp eyes swept across the room, pausing briefly on each clan leader—measuring, judging, and dismissing them all in a single glance.
Then he laughed.
"Ha! Ha! Ha!"
The laughter was loud, unrestrained, and full of dominance.
"This day," Yu Yuanzhen declared, raising his chin slightly, "will be recorded in history."
He tapped the table with a finger, the wood creaking under the casual force.
"Since such an important moment has arrived, why don't I toast you all?"
With a flick of his wrist, he retrieved a jade flask from his soul guide. He pulled the cork free, tilted his head back, and took a long, unhurried swig. A rich, fruity aroma instantly filled the room.
Only after savoring it did he toss the flask across the table.
It spun once before landing squarely in front of Huo Tian.
"Try it," Yu Yuanzhen said with a grin that didn't reach his eyes.
