As Qian Renxue's consciousness drifted to a dream like state—the ability automatically activated, healing her body in proportion to the damage she had sustained.
There was something she had not anticipated. After becoming a god, while the whispers came intermittently they were suppressed easily
Those whispers…had never disappeared.
At this moment with her will weakened—and her consciousness unstable—they returned.
The whispers, benefiting from her semi-conscious state—surged into her mind like a flood.
They grew louder trying to make her thinking more chaotic and distorted.
Her body began to change, her bones started to shift and wings twisted, gray scales began to emerge across her skin.
Her figure gradually transformed into something inhuman—gray-winged dragon-like existence.
Qian Renxue was on the verge of losing control.
"D̴r̷e̸a̴m̶…? M̷e̶m̴o̷r̴i̸e̴s̷…? W̶h̴o̴… a̷r̴e̷ y̴o̵u̸…? W̷h̸a̶t̷… a̴r̸e̷ y̵o̶u̴…?"
Each voice carried madness that tried to chip away at her sanity. Trying to pull her deeper—into chaos.
A thought erupted from the depths of her will.
'My will… is not so weak!'
Her consciousness roared.
At that final, critical moment—She made a decision.
As the goddess who held authority over Dreams and Memories— She reached outward and connected—to the collective subconscious of the Douluo Continent.
Unlike before Qian Renxue was not using it to travel neither she was using her authority to dominate it, this time she floated in the ocean of collective subconscious trying to feel it.
Soon she felt the countless thoughts, dreams and beliefs, all intertwined and overlapping within that ocean of consciousness.
She heard countless voices which were soft at first—then the voices became stronger and clearer . They were from children to elders and from the weak to the powerful, from noble to a beggar…
From across the Douluo Continent—and even from the distant Sun and Moon Continent.
The voices called out with faith and reverence.
"The Almighty Angel Goddess…"
"The Almighty Angel Goddess…"
The voices overlapped and merged forming a single, unified resonance to make an anchor for her.
The chaotic distortion of her form—gradually reverted.
The draconic transformation halted and the madness—was pushed back.
Qian Renxue's consciousness rose above the ocean of collective subconsciousness.
She floated silently—like a being detached from all things.
Then—her Purple Draconic eyes opened. At this moment they seemed very cold and unfathomable as if detatched from all emotions
Her expression held no emotion as she looked down—at the vast plane below, at the countless lives and at the flowing fate of the world.
-----
Within the Angel Temple—The aftermath was nothing short of chaos.
Cracks spread across the once flawless golden walls.
Residual waves of distorted consciousness still lingered in the air—Like invisible currents capable of tearing apart an unguarded mind.
From behind a collapsed section of the wall—A figure Angela cautiously emerged.
She brushed the dust off her shoulder and let out a small breath.
"I really am smart…"
She muttered softly.
"To hide immediately the moment I felt something was wrong with the main body."
Her tone carried a hint of self-satisfaction.
After all—The brief moment when Qian Renxue had nearly lost control—
Had been nothing short of catastrophic.
During that short span—a storm of thoughts had erupted and mental collapse that radiated outward in all directions.
Her gaze shifted to one side.
There—The flickering divine intent of the Sea God Poseidon hovered weakly in the air.
Its form was distorted and twisted, as if it had been violently wrung and stretched beyond its limits.
Angela tilted her head slightly, observing it with curiosity.
"Look at you…"
She murmured.
"You look like a cloth that's been thrown into a washing machine."
There was no pity in her tone—
"If Qian Renxue hadn't regained control at the last moment…you would have been completely crushed by those distorted thoughts."
Angela's gaze then swept across the temple, broken pillars and collapsed sections of wall. Only the inner part of the temple were affected by the after effects of Qian Renxue's losing control for a few seconds.
She nodded lightly.
"Good…The disturbance didn't spread too far. And it ended quickly enough."
Had it lasted even a little longer—The shockwaves might have reached beyond the temple and possibly even attracting the attention of other gods.
She stepped forward carefully, each movement was cautious—
Finally—Her eyes fell upon the throne, where Qian Renxue was sitting with her eyes closed her body had become normal at this moment.
Behind her head—a single golden soul ring shimmered quietly.
Angela's pupils contracted slightly.
"…The Angel Godhood Divine Ring?"
Her voice dropped unconsciously.
"At this rate…She might condense all seven divine soul rings in just...seven years of the mortal world."
Her thoughts calculated quickly as seven years below—were merely seven days within the Divine Realm.
Then she noticed that the armour covering Qian Renxue's body—had its color flickered continuously, between Gold, Purple and White.
Even the nature of the armor itself seemed to be undergoing transformation, as if being forcibly reshaped.
Angela narrowed her eyes slightly.
"…Even the armor is changing."
A faint seriousness appeared on her face.
"Looks like everything is moving according to plan…but also beyond prediction."
She lowered her voice.
"Now...I need to ensure that no other gods come here to interfere, before Qian Renxue completes her Angel Godhood"
She stepped forward to the throne slowly to confirm Qian Renxue's current condition.
But—Just as she approached within a certain distance—
Her instincts screamed and a sharp, overwhelming warning surged through her consciousness.
Without hesitation—she retreated instinctively and her figure moved back several steps.
Her expression changed and a chill ran down her spine. Because she was certain—That what she had just seen—was not an illusion.
For a brief moment—as she drew close—Qian Renxue's face had changed into an indescribable mask—formed of countless overlapping eyes.
It seemed that each eye containing a fragment of something incomprehensible.
Angela fell silent for a moment. Then—A faint, almost fascinated smile appeared on her lips.
"Well that's not my problem to worry about…I wonder…"
"…just how terrifying you will become...when you truly hold three Godheads at once."
