Chapter 14 - T.V Serial Shooting-2

The completion of the first fifteen-day shooting schedule brought an unfamiliar feeling into Adil Ali's life. For the first time, he wasn't merely preparing for a dream. He was living it.

The following Monday, life returned to its normal rhythm. Adil woke before sunrise, completed his morning run through the streets of Mumbai, practiced martial arts, worked on his singing exercises, and then prepared for college.

On the surface, nothing had changed. Yet everything had changed. A few weeks earlier, he had been just another student attending classes and carrying notebooks. Now he was a student who had appeared on a professional television set.

The difference was invisible to most people. But Adil could feel it. His confidence had grown, it was not arrogance but genuine

onfidence. The confidence that came from proving something to himself. He had entered the industry. He had faced professional cameras. He had worked alongside actors. And he had performed well.

The realization strengthened his determination. If television was this fascinating, then films would be extraordinary. And one day, he intended to conquer both.

A few days after filming ended, Adil received his first payment. The amount wasn't enormous by industry standards.

But when he held the cheque in his hands, he found himself staring at it for several moments. In his previous life, he had worked countless jobs simply to survive.

Money had always been something difficult to earn. Now, for the first time, he had earned money doing something he genuinely loved.

This feeling is difficult to describe. When he reached home that evening, Meera immediately noticed the expression on his face. After learning that he had received his first payment, she looked almost as happy as he was. Arif examined the cheque carefully before returning it.

His father remained silent for a few seconds. Then he smiled and asked. "Your first professional income. How do you feel abou it."

"Amazing. I can't describe it." Adil replied.

Arif placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Never forget this feeling."

"Why?" Adil asked.

"Because the first honest money a person earns is always special."

The words stayed with Adil. That night, he made a decision.

A portion of the money would go toward the household. Another portion would be saved. The rest would be invested.

The businessman inside him had already begun waking up.

Meanwhile, Fauji continued production. Although Adil's initial shooting schedule had ended, the production team occasionally called him back for additional scenes.

The expanded role they had created for Cadet Imran was working well. The writers appreciated the character's interactions with the other cadets.

As a result, more scenes were gradually being added. Whenever a call arrived, Adil adjusted his schedule and reported to the set. Each visit taught him something new.

Some days he learned about camera angles. Other days he observed lighting setups. Sometimes he simply watched experienced actors perform.Knowledge surrounded him everywhere. He just needed to absorb it eagerly.

His friendship with Shah Rukh Khan also continued to grow. The two young actors often spent time together between shoots. What started as casual conversations gradually developed into genuine friendship.

They discussed almost every thing from daily life to the films, actors, future plans, success, failure and their dreams.

The more Adil interacted with Shah Rukh, the more he understood why people naturally gravitated toward him. Shah Rukh possessed remarkable energy. Even after long shooting days, he somehow remained enthusiastic.

He could make an entire group laugh within minutes. Crew members enjoyed his company. Actors enjoyed his company. Everyone enjoyed his company.

Yet beneath the jokes and humor, Adil sensed something else, Relentless ambition. The same hunger that existed inside himself.

One afternoon, while waiting for a scene to be prepared, the two sat beneath a tree near the studio compound.

The conversation eventually turned toward the future. Shah Rukh looked toward the sky and casually remarked that television was only the beginning. He intended to become a superstar. The certainty in his voice was absolute. Most people would have thought that it was just a dreamer dreaming. But Adil didn't. He said.

"Yes, you will. I believe in you".

Shahrukh was surprised and looked at him then said." You believe in me, i thought you'll just be like others and would thought i am just dreaming."

Adil Stood up walked upto him. " Every successful person was once a dreamer. Success is built on dreams. If you cannot even dream then, how will you even succeed?" He said.

Shahrukh repeated his sentence "i will remember that. When i became a superstar. I will tell everyone that a friend told me this".

Arjun just smiled with his back at him. Seeing this Shahrukh said. " Hey, i am serious". Arjun then looked at him and said with a teasing grin "I'll remember that". Because he knew exactly how history would unfold.

"What about you? What do you want yo became, let me guess a star. No, a superstar. Right." Shahrukh said.

Arjun looked in his eyes and said " I want to conquer this world". Shahrukh was stunned at his answer. For several seconds, they looked at each other.

Then both started laughing. Two young actors, Two dreams. Neither willing to compromise. Neither willing to settle. The future would decide whose ambitions were realistic. But at that moment, both believed completely.

Back at college, life continued normally. Very few students knew about his television work. Adil intentionally kept things private. He didn't want attention. He didn't want distractions. He wanted growth.

Unfortunately, secrets rarely remained hidden for long. One afternoon, a classmate entered the classroom carrying a magazine.

The article briefly mentioned the upcoming serial Fauji and included a promotional photograph featuring several cadets. Among them stood Adil.

The discovery spread through the college surprisingly fast. By lunchtime, dozens of students had already heard the news.

Many refused to believe it until they saw the photograph themselves. The reactions varied.

Some were surprised. Some were impressed. While some became curious. A few became jealous. Adil remained largely unaffected. His focus remained unchanged.

The months passed quickly.

Adil was extremely busy. Classes, Training. Television shoots.

Repeat.

The schedule would have exhausted most people. But for Adil, it felt natural.Years of discipline had prepared him for exactly this kind of life.

The Dream Achievement System continued accelerating his learning in the background. His acting improved steadily. His singing improved steadily. His martial arts improved steadily. Everything improved steadily.

One evening, after returning from a shoot, Adil stood on the balcony overlooking Mumbai. The city stretched endlessly before him. Thousands of lights, Millions of people. Countless dreams.

Somewhere among those millions, there were undoubtedly thousands of aspiring actors hoping for opportunities.

Many were more experienced than him, Many were more connected than him. While many were more fortunate than him. Yet he possessed something valuable.

Time.

He had started preparing long before entering the industry. And now that preparation was beginning to show results.

Looking at the city skyline, Adil thought about the future.Television was merely the first step. Films would come next. Then business. Then much bigger ambitions. The journey remained long. Adil thought to himself. But for the first time, he could clearly see the road ahead. And that road led toward a destiny he had dreamed about since childhood.

Behind him, the sounds of his family filled the apartment. His mother calling him for dinner. His father reading the evening newspaper. Simple sounds, Ordinary sounds. Yet they reminded him why he worked so hard.

This life had given him a second chance. And he intended to make every moment count.

Far away, somewhere else in Mumbai, another young actor named Shah Rukh Khan was undoubtedly dreaming similar dreams.

Neither of them knew what the coming years would bring. But destiny had already begun moving.

Slowly.

Quietly.
