When Indianna woke up, she felt unusually heavy.
She looked down and saw Greyson's arms wrapped tightly around her. She sighed, trying to wriggle out of his iron grip.
A loud chuckle filled the room, and Greyson tightened his hold on her.
"Morning, sugar," he said.
"Get off me."
"Arent you a ray of sunshine," Greyson said sarcastically.
"Please, my darling idiotic mate, get the hell off me or I will piss all over you."
"Charming," Greyson snorted.
He reluctantly let go of Indianna, and she walked over to the en suite connected to the bedroom.
"Are you going to school today?" Greyson called.
"Yeah."
"Are you sure you're going to be okay?"
"I'm fine. If I hide because of Rogue, it means he's won," Indianna shrugged.
She closed the bathroom door behind her and quickly showered, washing away yesterday's events and the nightmare that had haunted her.
After drying herself, she wrapped a towel around her body and walked back into the bedroom.
Greyson was sitting on her bed wearing fresh clothes, his damp hair falling messily over his forehead.
"Girls take ages to shower," he said, his eyes travelling up and down her body.
Perv, she snapped through their bond.
Greyson smirked.
"I didn't get around to sending someone to collect some clothes for you yesterday, so I borrowed some stuff from Brooke," Greyson said, handing her a pile of clothes.
"That's not Brooke's," Indianna said, looking at the black jumper.
"I know. It's mine."
"I'm not wearing your clothes."
"You're welcome to go topless," Greyson smirked.
Indianna narrowed her eyes at him before spinning around and walking back into the bathroom.
She dropped the towel and quickly changed.
She was wearing a pair of Brooke's denim shorts that were slightly too short for her liking and Greyson's jumper, which was so oversized it almost covered the shorts completely.
She had to admit, it was comfortable.
Indianna stared at herself in the mirror and ran her fingers through her damp hair. Her mark was clearly visible, and she narrowed her eyes, attempting to hide it beneath the jumper.
"Sugar, hurry up. I'm bored!" Greyson yelled.
Indianna rolled her eyes but walked back into the bedroom. She grabbed her school bag from the floor and shoved her feet into the Converse she had worn the day before.
Greyson looked her over with a smirk.
"You look hot in my jumper."
"Shut up," Indianna muttered. "I'm getting my clothes tonight."
Greyson ignored her and stood from the bed.
"Ready for breakfast?"
"I'm not hungry."
She hesitated.
"Greyson, I want to see the girl."
"She's unconscious," Greyson said, wrapping his arm around Indianna's waist. "Doc thinks she'll be out for a while. You can see her tonight."
Indianna pursed her lips but nodded.
She walked with Greyson out of the room, and the moment they entered the hallways, she noticed how alive the pack house was.
Pack members rushed around, greeting each other and smiling at her. Indianna stayed close to Greyson, cautiously returning their smiles.
She was surprised by how many pack members attended her school.
Greyson had told her they were a young pack, but they were still extremely powerful.
When they reached the ground floor, Greyson led her outside and towards his car.
Indianna climbed into the passenger seat, and Greyson started the engine, driving away from the pack house and towards school.
"Indie, I've got to meet someone. I'll meet you in class," Greyson said as Indianna opened her locker.
"Yeah, sure," she shrugged.
Greyson placed his fingers beneath her chin, tilting her head up to look at him.
"No goodbye kiss?" he teased.
Indianna rolled her eyes.
"Go away."
Greyson smirked and quickly pressed a kiss to her lips before walking away.
Indianna slammed her locker shut, surprising herself with the force behind it.
She looked around cautiously, hoping nobody noticed her increased strength.
She adjusted her bag on her shoulder and headed towards her first class.
The classroom was mostly empty when she entered, and she spotted Kirstie sitting behind her desk, reading a magazine.
"Indianna," Kirstie called, gesturing for her to come closer.
"Yeah?"
"Are you okay? You seemed pretty freaked out yesterday," Kirstie said, genuinely concerned.
"Oh yeah... It was just the girl who was attacked," Indianna said quietly. "I wanted to make sure she was alright."
"I spoke to Doc this morning. He managed to stitch her up, and apparently she's a werewolf, so she should start healing soon. She hasn't shifted yet, so her healing will be slower than normal, but she'll be fine."
Indianna smiled softly.
"Thanks."
"I also wanted to say well done for yesterday," Kirstie said. "I know it terrified you to stand in front of the entire pack, but you did well. I spoke to some of them afterwards, and they all want you to feel comfortable. Nobody cares that you're shy. A lot of them already like you, even though they don't know you yet."
"Thanks," Indianna said sincerely.
Kirstie smiled.
"I'm always here if you need someone to talk to, Indianna. I know you have Brooke, but if you ever need anyone else, just find me. You're my brother's mate and my Luna. Don't be afraid to come and complain about Greyson to me. I know he can be a complete pain in the ass."
Indianna laughed.
"I'll hold you to that."
She walked to her seat at the back of the classroom and pulled out her notebook and pen.
A few seconds later, Brandon sat beside her.
"Hello," he said cheerfully.
Indianna smiled.
"Hi."
Brandon looked at her jumper and frowned.
"You're wearing a guy's jumper."
"Well done, Einstein," Greyson said sarcastically, appearing beside the desk. "Get out of my seat."
Indianna glared at Greyson.
"Don't be so rude!"
"You two..." Brandon looked between them. "So you're a thing?"
"She's my girlfriend. You got a problem with that, Brandon?" Greyson asked coldly.
Indianna pressed her lips together, trying to stop herself from smiling.
Girlfriend.
That was what they were to humans.
Boyfriend and girlfriend.
"But you're so... nice," Brandon said, looking at Indianna. "And you're not—"
"Think very carefully about what you say next, Brandon," Greyson warned.
His expression darkened.
"Being Brooklyn's cousin doesn't guarantee your safety. I will beat the shit out of you."
"My point proven," Brandon muttered.
Greyson clenched his fists and stepped closer.
His tall, muscular frame towered over Brandon, making him look like a mouse standing in front of a lion.
"You have three seconds to move before I do something I won't regret."
"One," Greyson said.
Stop being an ass. You're overreacting, Indianna said through their bond.
"Two," Greyson continued.
Brandon shook his head and stood up, walking away.
"Three," Greyson said triumphantly before sliding into the seat beside Indianna.
"You're mean."
"No, Brandon is a slimy little shit," Greyson shrugged.
"He's done nothing wrong."
"To you. He's always been a twat, especially when Brooklyn came to this town and got with Harry. He's just a nosy bastard who doesn't like seeing people happy."
"He's sitting right in front of you. He can hear you!" Indianna gasped.
Greyson smirked.
"I am very aware of that, sugar."
Indianna hit his arm, and Greyson raised his eyebrows.
"Jesus, watch your strength. That actually hurt."
"Sorry, I didn't even realise," Indianna muttered.
She shrugged.
"You deserved it. Wolf strength or not."
Greyson scoffed and shook his head.
"Greyson, does Brandon know about werewolves?"
"No," Greyson said. "When Brooklyn first found out, she wanted to tell him, but we didn't let her. It's too dangerous for humans to know about our world if they have no connection to it."
Indianna nodded slowly.
She was beginning to realise that the werewolf world had far more rules than she ever imagined.
