Chapter 7 - When Peace is found, it is challenged again part II

"Excuse me?" she asked

"You do need to go home right?" he answered

"I never saw him in the neighborhood" she thought to herself

"Oh Don't worry about it" she answered with her good girl smile.

"I live close by"she added "And my father is waiting for me so I better hurry, excuse me" she said before rushing to pass him.

"What father? We don't have a father anymore" he responded coldly as his eyes followed her.

As Tom was speaking, Eva's instincts of running away as far as she could hitted her hard.

"He must be mentally ill or something like that, what does he want from me?" she thought, "Let's not respond to him he might leave if I ignore him"

"I won't leave if you ignore me" he added

Trigered she turned right back at him "What is it that you want mister?" she demanded

She clutched her bag tightly against her side, facing him with a confrontational gaze, her shoulders stiffed and her brows drawn into a deep frown.

The young woman was faced with an almost nonchalant gaze.

"Still holding on to your fears scaredy cat?" he asked as a the wind cleared a smile on his face, and a gentle expression of nostaligia.

"Don't act like you know me" she replied as she descritely tried to call her father with her cellphone inside her outside pocket. "Cause I don't know you"

"Then let me remind you of how close we were, scaredy cat" he added before running toward her.

Petrified in fear, she tried screaming but not a note left her throat as she tried to move her legs to run away from him.

As the tip of his fingers almost reached her shoulder, she vanished.

Without loosing his balance, he focused all of his strengths on his left hand and used the force of his charge to propel himself backward in a swift, controlled flip landing lightly on his feet as his white cap reduced the impact.

Already scanning the space behind him for any sign of where she might reappear, as his eyes wondered he noticed that a path was clearer then others, like the fog was taking back it is place.

Without a second of hesitation he followed.

As the air barely brushed his wool cap, another flying unidentified object was holding an unconciouse frigthened lady in his arms as he was flying somwhere safe.

At least somwhere where he couldn't find her.

As he flew the enermy, a gentle white light carressed the palm of her hand before making its way to her ear whispering.

"He won't hurt you, I promise"

Her body found life again, those reassuring words woke her up immediately before meeting her savior's eyes.

"Who is that?" She asked herself.

But this time her body didn't feel threathened.
