Chapter 33 - Chapter 33-The Dragon's Return

The warm and humid air of Brazil greeted two powerful figures as they stepped out of the Brasilia International Airport. These were Travis Kane and Hiroto Kurogane, two of the most skilled and dangerous members of the World Hunters Committee. As they advanced towards the dungeon, the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs and a special delegation accompanied them. Their armor and weapons were distinctly palpable even beneath their suits. What would normally have been a highly formal reception had turned into a military operation due to the looming threat on the outskirts of the city. Everyone was on edge, wondering what awaited them at the dungeon's entrance.

As they neared the Apocalypse Dungeon, the tension in the air grew thicker. The dungeon's colossal stone gate looked ominous from a distance, but the true horror was revealed upon closer inspection. The area in front of the gate had become a graveyard. Scattered bodies, shattered armor, and broken swords created a gruesome scene. It was a massacre, a place where even the strongest hunters had fallen while trying to enter. Death itself seemed to lie in wait within the gate. The delegation, horrified by what they saw, recoiled, but Travis and Hiroto gazed upon the scene without a single flinch.

"Is it courage or foolishness to go where everyone else has fled, Japan?" Travis asked with a mocking expression. Hiroto tightened his grip on his sword hilt and replied coolly, "This isn't a place everyone has fled from; it's a place where everyone has been defeated. But we are not them." Putting their rivalry aside, the two walked towards the dungeon. The moment they crossed the threshold, the Brazilian sun disappeared, replaced by the dim, menacing atmosphere of the dungeon. The air was thick with the sharp smell of blood and decaying mana. And right before them, the true horror they were anticipating appeared: a massive army led by a colossal three-headed serpent beast: the Hydra.

In the dungeon's dim light, the two heroes confronted a colossal sight: a massive army of countless monsters, led by a three-headed beast, the Hydra, whose radiating aura made even the most powerful hunters tremble. Despite this terrifying power, Travis Kane remained unshakeable. He turned to Hiroto and said, "Stay out of this, Japan. I'll take it on myself." Travis's arrogant tone touched Hiroto's fierce pride. Gripping his sword hilt even tighter, he retorted, "Someone like you doesn't get to tell me what to do. Get out of my way now," and he pointed his sword at the colossal Hydra and its army of monstrous polar bears. The battle had begun.

After a moment of silence, Hiroto launched his attack. He swung his sword and activated his skill, Hoshizora no Mai (Starry Sky Dance). Hundreds of brilliant light particles radiated around him. Each particle was a simulation of a cut from Hiroto's sword. The moment the first ranks of the army moved, these particles automatically began to slice through them. With perfect composure, he took down every monster in his path, one by one. The attack, which looked like a meteor shower, created massive chaos in the enemy ranks.Simultaneously with Hiroto's assault, Travis also made his move. He entered his Bloodfang Ascension form, a partial transformation mode. His claws, teeth, and reflexes sharpened to an incredible degree. Surrounded by a crimson aura, he moved with great speed, employing close-quarters combat techniques. Travis grabbed every polar bear that came his way with his claws, tearing their chests open. The battle was brutal and bloody. The narrow corridors of the dungeon echoed with the roars of monsters and the shouts of the two hunters. After about an hour of relentless struggle, the entire army, except for the Hydra, had been wiped out by the two powerful hunters. But the price of victory was high; both were exhausted and breathless. Standing before them was the Hydra, with its three deadly heads, waiting. The real battle was about to begin

On the battlefield, two weary and wounded hunters gathered their last ounce of strength against the towering Hydra. Each of the beast's three heads possessed a unique, lethal attack, and their names were clear: the left head was Venomfang, the middle Pyrofang, and the right Stormfang.

The Hydra's three heads struck simultaneously. Venomfang spewed a torrent of acidic mist called Necrotoxin Breath, which didn't just corrode flesh but also decayed the very fabric of mana. Hiroto and Travis found themselves unable to use their abilities. At that exact moment, the Pyrofang head unleashed its Infernal Nova. It wasn't regular fire but a mana-fueled dark plasma reaching temperatures of 4000°C. The flames began to melt the dungeon walls and floor. Travis threw up his strongest defense, but his armor and skin began to melt away. He knew then there was only one way to survive this onslaught: to transform into his most powerful form.As a last resort, Travis began to shift into his final form, (Lycanshifter) Midway through the transformation, he turned to Hiroto with great difficulty. "I'll lose my consciousness in this form. Get to safety and leave the rest to me. I'll pass out when it's over, so save me then." With these words, his body shed its humanity, transforming into a full-fledged wolf radiating a deadly crimson aura. His eyes burned with an intense flame. Travis let out his Blood Howl, a skill that sent frequency waves to attack his enemies' nervous systems. It was a debilitating assault causing confusion, illusions, and fear. After the howl, Travis charged at the Hydra at the speed of light.

Travis landed blow after blow on the Hydra's colossal body. He had become so powerful that he began to distort the very atmosphere around him. His strikes wore down the Hydra's defenses and rattled the beast. But the Hydra refused to fall. The left head unleashed Maelstrom Surge, creating a swirling hurricane wall that stretched for kilometers. Immediately after, its middle and right heads launched the Solarflame Torrent and Plagueborn Aura attacks. Solarflame Torrent unleashed a wave of heat close to the sun's surface, incinerating everything within a 2-kilometer radius after a three-second charge. Plagueborn Aura created microscopic poisonous parasites that slowly drained life and stamina. This combined assault instantly overwhelmed Travis. His chest was torn open and his right arm was severed. The Hydra then spewed its venom into his gaping wound and tossed him aside. Its eyes were now fixed on Hiroto, who watched in helpless terror

Hiroto's heart sank as he looked at Travis's badly wounded and unconscious body. Before him stood the three-headed Hydra, drunk on victory, its eyes now fixed on him. In despair, he gripped his sword. He knew he had no chance against this monster alone, but retreating wasn't an option. At that moment, a roar echoed from the dungeon entrance. A terrifying silhouette appeared, holding a sword made of lightning.

Before Hiroto could even comprehend what was happening, the silhouette moved at the speed of light, attacking the Hydra and severing its middle head with a single blow. The entire dungeon became a pool of blood as the Hydra's shriek deafened them all. The beast retaliated with its most lethal attack, combining its mana-corroding acidic mist with a massive storm. The storm was so powerful that Hiroto couldn't withstand it and was thrown to the side. However, the mysterious silhouette remained unshaken within the storm. It swiftly attacked, plunging its sword into the Hydra's chest and electrifying it to sever the remaining two heads. The Hydra's colossal body collapsed to the ground, drenched in blood.

Following this moment, a digital screen appeared: (Notification: Enemy Marshal Rank Defeated by Player) and (Marshal Zyphros and Player Level Increased) x5. At that moment, everything became clear. The name of the mysterious silhouette was Marshal Zyphros

As the dungeon was washed in the blood of the colossal Hydra, the joy of victory was short-lived. A red light began to glow from the remains of the fallen beast. This light quickly grew, transforming into a massive crimson portal that stretched all the way to the dungeon's ceiling. At that moment, everyone's heart stopped. This gate was not the harbinger of a monster, but of a catastrophe. A colossal shadow emerged from the portal, followed by the legendary Red Dragon, Galadius.Galadius's size dwarfed even the Hydra, standing a full ten times larger. Its wings were the very embodiment of destruction. This dragon had once brought disaster upon Brazil when dungeons first appeared in the world, turning the Amazon Rainforest to ash. The World Hunters Committee was helpless until a mysterious silhouette with a purple aura appeared and clashed with Galadius. After their fight, both had vanished. Since that day, Galadius had not returned to the surface until now.The moment it emerged from the portal, Galadius's eyes locked onto the silhouette on the ground holding the lightning sword Marshal Zyphros. A massive torrent of flames erupted from the dragon's mouth. The attack was so powerful it turned the entire dungeon into an inferno. Once the flames subsided, only ash and destruction remained. The silhouette of Zyphros had vanished, and Hiroto was left on the ground, covered in blood and burns. He looked at Galadius in despair. Just as the dragon was about to launch the same attack again, an undefined red silhouette appeared, splitting the flame attack in two with a dagger strike and saving Hiroto
