Chapter 165 - Chapter 165

Service Club – After School,

Knock. Knock.

Another knock echoed through the awkwardly quiet Service Club room.

Yukino, who had just finished listening to Yuigahama Yui's rather questionable commission, frowned slightly.

Click~!

Before she could answer—The door suddenly opened.

"Yo!" A familiar voice entered before the person himself, "Hahaha! Good afternoon, Yukino!"

Gojo Satoru walked into the room with a bright smile, with someone behind him.

Or rather—he was dragging someone into the room.

A very unwilling someone, at that.

"Gojo-sensei!" Yuigahama blinked in surprise. Then she noticed the figure dangling from Gojo's right hand.

"...Eh?"

The person being carried looked completely lifeless.

His expression was empty, lost.

His eyes were dead. His soul appeared ready to leave his body at any moment from embarrassment.

Hikigaya Hachiman, her classmate.

Gojo was holding him by the collar like a captured criminal, with a proud expression.

"Hahaha! Look, Yukino-san. Look what I caught. A rare dead-fish-eyed creature."

Hikigaya immediately protested, his expression changing into protest, "Gojo-sensei...I think you can put me down first. And I wasn't running away. I properly submitted a leave request!"

Gojo nodded seriously.

"I heard what you said."

"Then put me down."

"But I choose not to believe it."

"..."

Seeing this, Gojo nodded with satisfaction.

"Good. Very good."

The atmosphere inside the Service Club became strangely quiet.

Yuigahama and Yukino both stare at the bizarre scene that had happened in front of them.

Finally—

Yukino pinched the bridge of her nose, in frustration asked in a very cold voice,

"What exactly are you two doing? And Gojo-sensei when did you began doing human trafficking?"

Gojo looked unusually offended, "What kind of image do you have of me?"

"A realistic one."

"..."

Gojo couldn't even refute that as he "tsk" at the unfriendly student.

Meanwhile, Yuigahama covered her mouth. Her shoulders trembled slightly. She was trying very hard not to laugh.

Unfortunately—Hikigaya's current appearance was simply too ridiculous and the expression he was making wasn't helping.

Gojo looked at Yukino, her expression cold as ever.

Then looked back at Hikigaya.

"Hm. I think this dead-fish-eyed creature is defective. Can I return it?"

"Please do."

Yukino answered instantly.

"Oi. That's too fast."

Hikigaya protested.

Nobody cared.

Noticing the complete lack of sympathy, Hikigaya lowered his head again.

The world was truly cruel.

Especially when Gojo Satoru existed in it.

At that moment—Gojo casually released his grip.

"Then here."

"Huh?"

For one brief second, Hikigaya realized something. Then gravity took it's course.

THUD!

"Aaaagh!"

His backside collided with the floor. The impact echoed throughout the room shaking the floor a little.

Yuigahama jumped with a stunned expression while, Yukino winced, her poor head.

"My butt...My poor butt..."

Hikigaya clutched his rear dramatically, muttering to himself as small droplets of tear appear in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Gojo stepped over him like he was an obstacle.

"What a weak creature."

"Sensei, you're the one who dropped me!"

Ignoring Hikigaya's complaints, Gojo pulled out a chair and sat beside Yukino.

The movement was so natural it looked as though he already owned the room. Which, considering how often he appeared here, wasn't entirely wrong.

After crossing his legs, he looked toward Yuigahama, before uttering.

"Hm? Isn't this the dumpling from Class 2F?"

Yuigahama froze, as she pointed a finger at herself, before speaking. "D-Dumpling?"

Before she turned around looking at Yukino who was massaging her temple with a frustrated expression, before turning towards the Weird sensei in front of her.

Gojo too pointed directly at her, like a mischievous brat. "You."

"...Me?"

"Yep. Dumpling!"

"..." Yuigahama's mouth twitched violently, before she speak in an unusual manner, "Sensei."

"Yes?"

"Can I not have that nickname?"

"No!"

The answer came instantly, without hesitation.

Yuigahama was now experiencing what Yukino was feeling just before. While she too used nicknames for some people that's only after they have known each other for very long time and their relationship is good! And this is her first tike talking with this teacher!

"I see..."

Gojo nodded in satisfaction, it's good to give cute students cute nickname, "Good. I'm glad we understand each other."

Yukino sighed, she had already experience it too many times but this teachers personality is seriously the worst!

"Stop giving people strange nicknames." She said coldly.

"Why?"

"It's rude."

"It's affectionate."

"It's rude."

"It's affectionately rude."

"..."

Yukino suddenly felt tired.

Very tired. The mental stresss is too much! At first, it was Yuigahama Yui's strange request and the lack of information and when she was trying to think of something—The Final Boss appear.

At this point she wasn't even surprised anymore.

Gojo Satoru operated according to rules that existed only inside his own head!

Eventually, Yukino decided to return to the original topic.

She looked at Gojo, speaking in a very cold voice, "Yuigahama came here to submit a request."

"Oh?" Gojo immediately became interested, as he straighten his back. His eyes were practically sparkling behind his blindfold.

"A request? What kind?"

"An investigation."

The moment he heard that word—Gojo jumped from his chair.

"Investigation!? Detective work!? Take me with you!" He dramatically pointed toward himself. "I am known throughout Tokyo as—Tokyo Holmes!"

"..."

"..."

"..."

Nobody reacted.

The silence lasted several seconds.

Gojo coughed awkwardly, even with his tough skin it was hard to maintain it for too long, "Tough audience."

Hikigaya spoke up first, with a strange expression, "Sensei."

"Yes?"

"Nobody calls you that."

"They should."

"They don't."

"One day—"

"They won't."

The teacher and student immediately entered into a pointless argument.

Meanwhile, Yukino quietly watched.

Then—Unexpectedly—She nodded.

"You can participate."

"Hm?" Gojo blinked, clearly not expecting her to agree so easily.

Yukino calmly explained.

"More people means more information. And honestly..." She glanced toward Hikigaya. "I only have one and a half investigators right now."

"Huh?" Yuigahama tilted her head in confusion, "What does one and a half mean?"

Yukino pointed at her with her fair beautiful finger, "You are one."

Before she pointed at Hikigaya who has already taken his usual seat.

"He is half."

"OI!" Hikigaya slammed the desk. "I have human rights."

"Debatable." Yukino answered immediately.

The room erupted into another round of chaos.

Several minutes later, everyone finally calmed down enough to discuss the actual request.

Gojo leaned forward dramatically, his hingers pinching his chin as he asked,

"Alright. Tell me everything. I shall mobilize one hundred thousand detectives!"

Hikigaya muttered quietly.

"If a hundred thousand people beat you at once, you'd probably die."

The room went silent.

Gojo slowly, very slowly turned his head towards the stunned student, as a terrifying smile appeared on his face. A smile so bright it could probably be seen from space.

Hikigaya immediately felt the danger.

Real danger.

The kind of danger that triggered survival instincts.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Sorry."

He stood up in a hurry, with a panicked expression, "I suddenly remembered something I have to—"

"Too late." Before he could even say anything, Gojo had suddenly grabbed him before dragging him the same manner as before.

"Saaaavvvvvveeeeee meeeee" Hikigaya scream at the top of his lungs, as he began to shake his body violently in a desperate move to escape from the devil's clutch.

"Yuigahama-San!" He turn towards the kid classmates with a puppy eyes (Imagine it how it will look at him).

Yui shudder, before she averted her eyes, muttering with an awkward smile, "Sorry."

Hikigaya realizing that she couldn't help him at all turn towards the president, "Yukino-san!"

"Good luck." Only to have his last hope crumble in front of him.

"Traitors!"

Click!

The door closed behind them, as his voice echo through the hallway.

Several seconds later—

The girls heard voices from the hallway.

"Thousand Years of Death!"

"NOOOOO!"

"Lightning Poison Dragon Drill!"

"WAIT WAIT WAIT NO NO NO NO NO—"

"Pegasus Meteor Fist!"

"THAT'S NOT EVEN ANIME!"

"Take this!"

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!"

The screams echoed through the corridor.

Several nearby students who were still present immediately changed directions and chose another hallway.

Safety first.

They all espace as they pray for the miserable soul who is being toyed by the Demon King.

....

Inside the Service Club—

Yuigahama sat completely frozen, her face had gone pale as just remembering his scream.

"Gojo-sensei is scary..." As she stare at the person before her, who was making tea without any worry.

Yukino quietly sipped her tea, before turning her eyes towards Yui, "He'll survive."

"You sound very confident."

Yukino didn't speak as she quietly enjoy the taste of the tea on her tongue, after a long tired day this is the only thing that give her a slight relief.

....

After several minutes—

The door reopened.

Gojo entered.

Looking completely refreshed. Like a man who had just solved all his life's problems. The only strange thing was the pair of gloves he was wearing.

Yuigahama immediately looked toward the hallway.

There was no Hikigaya.

"Where's Hikigaya-san?"

"Recovering."

"...Recovering?"

"Probably."

Yukino looked suspiciously at the gloves, "Is he alive?"

"Of course." Gojo casually removed the gloves. "Well, mostly."

"...Mostly?"

"Don't fret over it." Then he tossed the gloves into a nearby trash can. Clapping his hands, as he returned to the conversation.

"Anyway, back to the investigation." He looked toward Yuigahama. "What are the characteristics of the person you're looking for?"

Yuigahama immediately sat up straight, as she began with a straight face.

"Well...He has white hair."

Gojo froze.

"White hair..."

"Yeah and he also wears sunglasses."

The smile on Gojo's face stiffened. "...Sunglasses?"

"Yeah."

"Oh and he's also tall."

"..."

"And he was wearing a blue shirt."

"..."

"..."

"..."

The room became silent.

Gojo slowly turned his head toward Yukino while Yukino slowly turned her head toward Gojo.

Both of their eyes met.

Yuigahama blinked, feeling the sudden silent, "Hm? What's wrong?"

Gojo's smile became increasingly unnatural.

Because the description sounded extremely familiar.

White hair. Sunglasses. Tall. Blue shirt.

No matter how he looked at it—That sounded suspiciously like himself.
