"Out of everything in the universe, why has this place led me back to where I came from?"
"What's that?"
"Nothing, I'm just wondering what the job is this time."
When Javier went back to looking at Burino, he found that he himself changed a lot. He was slower but had a far more muscular build. Though he had been in a higher weight class, he was just as good a boxer as he was before. When the person who was a little boy spoke, his voice was deeper but far calmer than the short timid boy from those years before.
"So, I'm heading to university next year. I managed to get a loan from the bank, but I should be able to bring it back in a few years."
"'A few years'? If you wanted some money, I would've been happy to just give you some."
Surprisingly, Hans had a large sum of money in savings and stocks. Back during the war, he made plenty of investments in Swedish and other Scandinavian companies that made him a very rich man. This was on top of his already high paying job as a doctor.
"So much money from one person. How about that?"
"Well, here we are. So, let's get to it."
The skeleton opened the door and unlike the others who had been silently fearing what would be waiting for them, Burino eagerly jumped out the front door and into three feet of murky green water of which the couple stood on.
"Hello boys. How are you doing today?"
"I've… been better."
Burino had been disappointed by the fact that he was in a place so hot and that his school outfit that he spent months saving for was dirty.
"Now this is a good day for you boys."
