"You don't deserve it!" Adam raised the spliced Imperial Sword as a golden magic circle slowly rose behind him.
"Bastard!" Conrad unleashed his power at full force.
Hundreds of keys opened the magic door, and countless powerful spells shot toward Adam.
The magical light illuminated the entire sky, streaking across like shooting stars.
"Ultimate Magic — Divine Punishment of Sin." Adam spoke with cold certainty.
The golden magic circle suddenly expanded, swallowing all of Conrad's attacks. A massive golden lightsaber emerged from the circle and descended straight toward Conrad.
"Key Magic: Skynet!"
Hundreds of magic doors linked together. As the key slowly turned, a massive green net spread out, blocking the path of the lightsaber.
"Go back to me!"
Conrad held the shattered Imperial Sword and pushed forward with everything he had. With a clang, the golden lightsaber crashed into the green net.
Adam saw Conrad being dragged back by the lightsaber and immediately dashed toward Princia.
"Oops."
The crazy woman rushed head-on into the extreme freezing light. Her armor froze solid in an instant. She ripped it off, but her body was slashed by barrier shards, turning her into a bloody mess.
"Stupid ice cube, stop showing off at your age," she spat, blood dripping from her face.
Princia let out a wild laugh and, with her remaining magic, blasted Edward away.
"Die!" Jester appeared beside her in a flash, holding a purple sword. He thrust it straight toward her chest.
Am I going to die?
Princia, running on sheer willpower, twisted left at the last moment. The sword grazed her abdomen, slicing across it.
She was about to be cut in half.
"Dragon Blast!"
Sensing her aura, Adam unleashed the full force of his divine power from above, firing a massive dragon energy beam.
Crack!
The blast shattered both the barrier and the ice shield.
"Telekinetic Fluctuations!"
The moment Jester's blade touched Princia's waist, his entire body froze mid-motion—like he'd been imprisoned.
"How dare you touch my people?!"
Adam descended from the sky, sword aimed straight at Jester's head.
"Damn it!"
Jester thrashed, trying to break free. He refused to die like this.
"Ice Escape!" An oval-shaped wall of ice shielded Jester's head—the last bit of Edward's magic before he fainted.
"You are a sinner standing in the way of a new order. Stop it!" Conrad gritted his teeth.
The green net tightened around the golden lightsaber. He charged forward, gathering the last of the Imperial Sword's power. Countless spells of different attributes fused into one massive energy wave aimed at Adam.
Jester regained movement, slashing toward Princia again. Adam quickly pulled her into his arms.
The massive energy wave roared behind them. Edward's ice shield barely held, forcing Adam to drop his telekinetic control and run toward Edward with Princia in his arms.
"Stop him now!" Jester shouted.
Adam's goal was clear—he was going to reach Edward first.
"Ahhh!" Conrad, roaring like a beast, forced the lightsaber forward with all his magic.
The green net redirected the blade straight at Edward's body.
Adam was trapped—lightsaber in front, energy wave at his back. Desperation clawed at him.
"Release!"
The golden lightsaber vanished on the spot, but the green magic net remained.
Holding Princia tightly, Adam swung the Imperial Sword forward and charged into the green net.
The net Conrad had poured all his power into split under Adam's strike, but the opening was too narrow for both of them.
Blood stained the broken Imperial Sword red. Adam rammed through the gap with his own body, turning himself into a blood-soaked figure.
"Stop!" Conrad and Jester roared in rage.
Gritting his teeth through the pain, Adam rushed straight to Edward and drove the Imperial Sword into him.
Edward's body became transparent. The figure of the 20th Wizard King dissolved into starlight and vanished with a bang.
"I'll kill you all with a fusion of magic and divine power that will destroy the world!"
The heavens and earth trembled. Black smoke gushed from the ground. Magma bled through cracks, and the entire space began to collapse.
A beam of condensed energy shot up from Adam's body, piercing through a massive crystal gate. The energy compressed a hundredfold without losing its terrifying volume.
Adam looked at the incoming energy beam. If it hit, nothing would remain.
He and Princia—like a pair of doomed lovers—were about to face their final judgment.
"Rat… Ox… Tiger…"
Dragon Altar
"Everyone, inject magic power counterclockwise into the altar! We'll pull Adam back!"
Rhya and the others had just returned to Elysia and learned the cracking method from Dryad.
The dragon pattern on the altar lit up again. Patolli and the others channeled magic counterclockwise.
A dazzling golden light burst out, establishing an anchor point between the continent and the small world. Magic poured into it like a flood.
"Perfect Zodiac…"
Just as Adam was about to unleash the full power of the zodiac, the energy beam swallowed him whole.
A rain of starlight fell over him and Princia. The light enveloped their bodies and sent them out of that collapsing world.
BOOOOM!
The entire space caved in. Where Adam and Princia once stood was now a massive crater—ten thousand meters deep.
"He's dead this time," Conrad said coldly.
He was furious. Before even beginning his plan to destroy the Clover Kingdom, he'd lost a general.
Even the Imperial Sword was gone—shattered, leaving only fragments in his hands.
Princia had been pulled out of their camp and was eliminated.
"What do we do next?" Jester muttered bitterly, flying to Conrad. "I lost both the wife and the army. Not only did I not gain anything, I lost everything."
"I can only try my luck there." Conrad said.
"Where?" Jester asked.
"The dwarves… let's go!" The golden key turned. Conrad grabbed Jester, pulling him into the green gate.
Snap!
The heavens and earth shook violently. The collapsing space was finally consumed by darkness.
Dragon Altar
Adam appeared on the altar, still holding Princia. He used the last of his strength to look down at the people gathered below.
Seeing Patolli and his group, Adam collapsed with a thud.
Patolli rushed forward to catch him. "Rhya, quickly use Space Magic to teleport Adam and this woman back to the secret realm!"
"Got it."
Rhya cast the spell. Fana helped support Princia. Whatever the hell had happened out there had left even Adam—someone this powerful—nearly dead. Could they have gone to the underworld itself?
"Vetto, destroy this altar. Bury this cave."
Pattoli made a quick decision. Unknown dangers would not be allowed anywhere near the elves' secret realm.
"Understood."
Patolli, Rhya, and Fana teleported Adam and Princia back to Elysia for treatment.
With a thunderous crash, the dragon altar—an ancient structure that had existed for countless years—was reduced to rubble under Vetto's strike.
