Lucien woke up feeling lighter than usual as he rose from his bed, stretching his limbs.
His eyes flitted to the window where the sun was barely up in the sky, painting the heavens with a blend of lapis azuli and burnt sienna. His bare feet patted across his room as he crouched down to do his morning stretches. His long legs hit the floor as he moved and bent them to his will, removing all the soreness of sleep from his body.
Once he was warmed up, he headed for his closet, putting on a loose-fitted white t-shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants. Lucien loved to start his day with a short run across campus whenever he could. With his sock-covered feet, he trudged to the kitchen to boil himself some water as he opened his fridge and took out the mason jar where he kept his ginger purée.
