To no one's surprise, the inside of the house was just as grand and magnificent as the outside.
The entire house was lined with open windows giving them a nice view of the outdoors. Lucien led him to the living room. Since he'd insisted that he didn't need to bring anything on this trip, Kenneth didn't have any bags to put down. The only thing he had were the clothes on his back.
The room itself was spacious and cozy, built almost entirely of rich timber and towering panes of glass that stretched from floor to ceiling. The ceiling rose high overhead, supported by exposed wooden beams that gave the space a rustic, lodge-like charm despite its clear luxury. Hanging from the center was an elegant chandelier crafted from dark metal and soft amber lamps, casting a warm glow across the room as dusk slowly settled outside.
