Chapter 127 - Chapter 118: Battles Across the Battlefield

Aakash POV

High above the forest canopy, the battle between Pidgeot and Fearow had already escalated far beyond what ordinary trainers could comfortably follow.

The two Flying-types tore through the rain-soaked skies like rival kings contesting ownership of the heavens.

Fearow attacked first.

Its long wings cut through the air with astonishing speed as it launched itself toward Pidgeot in a steep dive, the momentum of its descent carrying enough force to split through branches and smaller trees had it struck the ground instead.

Pidgeot met the attack calmly.

Rather than attempting to overpower the charge directly, she tilted one wing and slipped sideways through the air with elegant precision, allowing Fearow to streak past her by mere inches.

The moment they crossed paths, she retaliated.

A powerful Gust erupted from her wings.

The compressed wind slammed into Fearow's side, forcing the larger bird off its flight path and sending it spinning briefly through the air.

Fearow recovered almost instantly.

The Orange-ranked Pokémon clearly possessed extensive combat experience, and instead of retreating, it used the momentum of its recovery to launch another attack immediately.

Its beak began glowing.

Drill Peck.

The attack transformed Fearow into a spinning projectile as it hurtled directly toward Pidgeot.

Below, trees bent violently beneath the pressure created by its descent.

Pidgeot climbed sharply.

The two Pokémon shot upward through the clouds, rapidly gaining altitude as the battlefield expanded beneath them.

Fearow pursued relentlessly.

It had entirely abandoned concern for the territory below.

The only thing existing in its world now was the opponent before it.

Pidgeot's eyes remained calm.

She had fought alongside me for months.

From the moment Earth merged with the Pokémon world, she had stood beside me through every crisis, every battle, and every impossible situation.

An Orange-ranked Fearow wasn't enough to shake her confidence.

The clouds exploded apart as the two birds collided again.

Wing met wing.

Talons slashed.

Air pressure rippled outward.

For a moment neither gained an advantage.

Then Fearow suddenly twisted mid-air and unleashed a barrage of Fury Attacks.

Its movements became almost impossible to track as it repeatedly struck from different angles, forcing Pidgeot onto the defensive.

The battle transformed into a blur of feathers, wind, and motion.

Yet despite Fearow's aggression, Pidgeot never lost control of the engagement.

She yielded ground.

Gave space.

Redirected momentum.

Every movement carried purpose.

Every retreat created a future advantage.

Far below, the forest canopy trembled as shockwaves from the aerial battle rolled across the battlefield.

Neither combatant appeared close to victory.

And neither had any intention of backing down.

Meanwhile, deep within the Pinsir territory, an entirely different battle was beginning.

The Orange-ranked Pinsir lowered its massive head and released a furious roar that echoed throughout the forest.

The surrounding Pinsir immediately retreated further.

Their leader had arrived.

This was no longer their fight.

The giant Pokémon's bloodshot eyes locked directly onto me before shifting toward Primeape and Thwackey.

It understood immediately.

These were the real threats.

Primeape grinned.

The expression alone would have worried most opponents.

He had been waiting for this ever since arriving in the zone.

All the weaker Pinsir we had defeated during our advance had only served as a warm-up.

This—

This was what he wanted.

The Orange-ranked Pinsir suddenly charged.

The ground exploded beneath its feet.

Despite its size, the giant beetle moved with terrifying speed as it tore through the forest toward us.

Trees shattered.

Roots were ripped from the earth.

The sheer force of its charge transformed it into a living battering ram.

Primeape didn't retreat.

Instead, he charged forward.

The collision between the two Pokémon created a thunderous impact that echoed throughout the territory.

Primeape's fist slammed into Pinsir's armored chest at the exact moment Pinsir's horns crashed into Primeape's guard.

For a brief second, neither side moved.

Then both were thrown backward.

Primeape skidded across the ground before catching himself.

Pinsir carved deep trenches through the earth before regaining balance.

The surrounding forest fell silent.

Both Pokémon had immediately realized something.

Neither could overpower the other directly.

Primeape let out an excited laugh.

Pinsir answered with another roar.

Then they charged again.

This time, Thwackey joined the battle.

While Primeape occupied Pinsir's attention from the front, Thwackey darted through the surrounding trees with remarkable speed, using branches and trunks as natural pathways.

His movements resembled a green blur.

The moment Pinsir committed to attacking Primeape, Thwackey struck.

His sticks crashed into the side of Pinsir's leg.

The attack wasn't powerful enough to cause serious damage.

That wasn't the goal.

The purpose was disruption.

Pinsir immediately turned toward the new threat.

Primeape seized the opening.

A powerful punch crashed into Pinsir's jaw.

The giant Pokémon staggered.

Then retaliated.

Its massive horns swept across the battlefield in a brutal arc.

Primeape ducked beneath the attack while Thwackey leapt upward into the trees, narrowly avoiding being struck.

The battle settled into a rhythm.

Primeape served as the hammer.

Thwackey became the knife.

One applied pressure directly while the other searched constantly for openings.

Against most opponents, that combination would have quickly produced results.

Unfortunately—

Pinsir wasn't most opponents.

Its thick armor absorbed impacts that would have incapacitated weaker Pokémon.

Its tremendous physical strength allowed it to recover from mistakes almost instantly.

Most importantly, the enraged state enhancing its aggression had pushed its combat instincts into overdrive.

Primeape landed another punch.

Pinsir answered with a strike that nearly uprooted a tree.

Thwackey attacked from behind.

Pinsir spun around and nearly caught him with one massive horn.

The battle became increasingly intense.

More trees fell.

The ground fractured beneath repeated impacts.

Pikachu remained near the rear of the battlefield, continuously intercepting ordinary Pinsir attempting to reinforce their leader while also watching for opportunities to assist.

And somewhere beyond the forest, another roar echoed across the zone.

Typhlosion had entered its own battle.
