Chapter 38 - CHAPTER-37 "WHO IS LEO'S PAST LOVE ?"

Leo found Elsa watching the moon silently, tears streaming down her face. Smiling softly, he walked up to her.

Leo says, "I've searched for you."

Elsa wiped her eyes quickly.

Elsa says, "I just want..."

Leo replies, "Leave it."

Leo says, "Will you come with me?"

Elsa asks, "Where?"

Leo replies, "I will tell you."

Elsa says, "It's already twelve o'clock at night."

Leo replies, "We'll be back soon."

Elsa followed Leo to his car and slid into the passenger seat next to him.

Up on her balcony, Amy stood frozen in shock, watching Leo drive away into the night completely unaware of who was sitting beside him.

As Leo drove, Elsa looked at him, a quiet happiness washing over her. The streetlights flickered across his face, making him look irresistibly handsome and hot, like a sculpted Greek idol.

Elsa says in her heart, "Leo is so handsome and hot."

Leo silently asks, "Did you find me handsome and hot, baby?"

Elsa gets surprised and shaken. Panic-stricken, she let out a fake cough to cover her embarrassment.

Leo reached over and handed her a water bottle.

Elsa replies, "No need."

Elsa says, "I'm alright."

Elsa says to Leo, "Why would I think you look handsome and hot? I didn't feel anything like that."

Elsa says in her heart, "Sorry God for lying."

Elsa says in her heart, "I have no choice."

Leo looks at Elsa angrily and says, "What rubbish."

Leo politely murmurs, "Crazy girl."

Leo murmurs something, "Millions of girls love me and chase me for love, or even just for an autograph."

Leo murmurs, "Girls feel so special when they are around me."

Leo murmurs, "But this crazy girl... what does she think of herself?"

Elsa asks Leo, "Did you say something?"

Leo replies by asking Elsa, "Did you hear something?"

Elsa replies, "No."

Leo says to Elsa, "Because I didn't say anything."

Leo murmurs, "Why is Elsa so weird?"

Elsa tuned him out and enjoyed the long drive. She looked out the side mirror, watching the beautiful trees blur past. The road was incredibly peaceful, completely free of traffic and honking horns.

She stole another glance at Leo.

Elsa says in her heart, "All my dreams started with Leo and they will end with Leo."

Elsa says in her heart, "Maybe I can't live much longer, but I will live each and every moment with you, Leo."

Elsa says in her heart, "All my last days as a soul will definitely be filled with loving you."

Elsa says in her heart, "I love you, Leo."

Leo felt a sudden, strange shift in the air. He turned to her.

Leo asks Elsa, "Did you say anything?"

Elsa gets panicked and replies, "NO!"

Leo feels like he heard something, as if she just said something.

He pulled the car over near a lake. The view was breathtaking. A full moon glowed brightly in the sky, casting its silver light over the water and the surrounding trees. Everything looked so peaceful, with no one else around except for the faint sound of birds chirping from their hidden nests in the branches.

They both got down from the car. Feeling a deep sense of peace, Elsa ran over and sat on a wooden bench.

Elsa feels happy and starts shouting, "WOOH! I love places like these!"

Leo smiles and replies, "Please be silent."

Elsa and Leo sit on the bench.

Leo says to Elsa, "I love this place a lot."

Leo says, "I used to play here with my dad."

Leo says, "He used to take me here and teach me football, along with so many other things."

Leo says, "He even taught me how to dream and how to achieve things through hard work."

Leo says, "My father is the most honest man I've ever known. He is my idol."

Elsa smiles softly at Leo. Leo turned his head to look directly at her.

Leo asks Elsa, "Are you hiding your tears from me?"

Elsa feels panicked.

Leo asks Elsa, "Please tell me. I can feel that you are hiding your tears."

Leo asks Elsa, "Are you hiding anything from me?"

Elsa froze in shock.

Leo says, "Elsa, if you are suffering from any problem?"

Leo says, "Say it to me."

Leo says, "I will solve it. Even if it is a financial problem or any problem?"

Leo says, "I can't bear to see tears in your eyes."

Leo says, "I don't know why my heart feels so much pain whenever you cry."

Leo says, "I can't control myself if anyone talks to you in a bad manner, or if you cry."

They locked eyes, the intensity between them growing.

Elsa asks Leo in a polite tone, "Why do you feel bad when I cry, Leo?"

Leo thinks for a second and replies, "I don't know."

Leo says to Elsa, "Just tell me why you were crying, and I saw your tears on the terrace?"

Leo says, "You think I am a cold-hearted man, but I have a heart too, and I can feel emotions."

Leo stepped down from the bench, dropping to his knees right in front of her and asks, "I am requesting you... why do you always look so sad?"

Leo says, "I am there for you, and I would take care of you forever."

Elsa's heart swelled at the word.

Elsa replies, "F-O-R-E-V-E-R."

Leo heard the word echo clearly in Elsa's tone and gets shocked. He paused, his mind suddenly racing as reality crashed back in.

Leo says in his mind, "I brought Elsa here to reveal that I don't love her, and to say sorry to her."

Leo says in his mind, "But what am I doing?"

Right then, the sky darkened and rain begins to fall, heavy droplets splashing onto both of them.

Leo asks himself in his mind, "Why can't I just tell Elsa that I don't love her?"

Leo says in his mind, "My heart races so much faster when she is with me."

Leo says in his mind, "But my heart already belonged to someone in the past—a girl I am secretly in love with."

Leo says in his mind, "My heart used to race even faster and beat only for her."

Leo says in his mind, "After that tragic, one-sided love story, I took a vow that I would never fall for another girl."

Leo asks himself in his mind, "Why does my heart have no control when Elsa is around?"

Leo asks himself in his mind, "Why am I feeling so many emotions toward her?"

Leo asks himself in his mind, "Why can't I just leave Elsa?"

Elsa looked down at him, equally overwhelmed and shocked.

Elsa says to herself, "What is happening to me?"

Elsa says to herself, "I should leave from here."

Terrified of her own feelings, Elsa stood up from the bench, finding Leo still kneeling. She turned to walk away.

Leo scrambled to his feet and shouts, "E-L-S-A!"

Elsa turned around and finds Leo drenching in the downpour. He stared at her, a wild thought flashing through his mind.

Leo asks himself in his mind, "Is Elsa and the girl I loved in the past the same person?"

Leo says in his mind, "Because I've never felt like I met Elsa for the very first time."

Leo closed the distance between them, standing directly in front of her. Elsa remains silent as the rain soaked through their clothes. Leo slowly reached out, trying to touch her hand, but Elsa pulled away.

Neither of them noticed an unknown girl hiding near a distant tree, watching their every move through the sheets of rain.

Leo looked deep into Elsa's eyes, his voice dropping into a serious tone as Leo asks Elsa,

"WHO ARE YOU?"

Elsa replies with complete shock upon hearing this.

A massive thunderstorm struck above them, lighting up the sky as the rain poured down. Suddenly, Leo's phone began to ring loudly in his pocket. The screen flashed with the name of his investigative detective, but Leo refused to break eye contact, letting it ring into the night.
