The Dojutsu: Juppō had revealed two visions to Hyuga Yu. The first was a scene from the moon.
The massive disturbance caused by Hyuga Yu unleashing the Golden Wheel Rebirth Explosion in the Land of Rivers had been detected by the Giant Tenseigan. Upon the moon, Otsutsuki Tsugushiki—a descendant of the Otsutsuki branch house whose sole creed was the destruction of the shinobi world—spared no expense to open a celestial pathway between the moon and the shinobi world.
Furthermore, he seemed intent on descending upon the shinobi world in person to plunder whatever he lacked from Hyuga Yu, the contemporary Tennin. His goal was to complete the final evolution of his own Tenseigan and acquire the "key" to unlocking the ultimate authority of the Giant Tenseigan, thereby initiating the protocol to reshape the shinobi world.
From this vision, Hyuga Yu quickly deduced three points. First, the lunar Otsutsuki branch house also possessed flaws in their cultivation of the Tenseigan. After wiping out the Otsutsuki main house, they seemed to have lost the crucial technique or lineage required to fuse and awaken a Tenseigan.
Second, this critical lineage could be supplemented from the bodies of the Hyuga clan on Earth. Just as Toneri Otsutsuki—who was born without eyes but possessed an extremely pure bloodline—needed Hanabi Hyuga's "pure Byakugan" to evolve his Tenseigan, this powerful Otsutsuki branch house member, Otsutsuki Tsugushiki, who possessed a near-complete Tenseigan but suffered from a flawed lineage, required a specific gene from the bloodline of the "Hyuga Tennin" who had emerged from the Hyuga clan.
Thus, he had targeted Yu! He wanted to tear out his eyes, drink his blood, and suck the very marrow from his bones!
Third, it could be inferred真实 from Tsugushiki's words that he was unable to directly pinpoint Hyuga Yu's location as the "Tennin" through the Giant Tenseigan. This proved that Yu's strategy to isolate himself from the Giant Tenseigan's perception was effective.
However, the tremendous disturbance from the Golden Wheel Rebirth Explosion had still alerted the enemy. It had even made him realize the threat posed by the existence of this "Tennin" in the shinobi world. Consequently, he decided to wait no longer. He would descend directly upon the shinobi world, find the Tennin, eliminate him, and completely perfect his own bloodline. No longer pinning his hopes on Toneri Otsutsuki, whose lineage was purer, Tsugushiki would personally drive forward the Otsutsuki branch house's ultimate plan to destroy the shinobi world and remake the universe!
As for his chosen point of descent—
Hyuga Yu narrowed his eyes slightly and suddenly looked up. Activating his Byakugan, he shifted to a bird's-eye view, expanding his vision upward. Soon, he saw it:
Somewhere roughly 5,000 meters in the sky above the Land of Rivers, the air was beginning to warp, and space itself was vibrating, as if something was about to squeeze through!
The enemy's chosen landing site, the location where the celestial pathway opened, was none other than the Land of Rivers!
Seeing this, Hyuga Yu pondered for only a brief moment before immediately making a decision. Now was not the time to engage the enemy!
Though Yu was confident that with his current arsenal of ninjutsu, bloodline, Yang Release, and combat experience, he could face Otsutsuki Tsugushiki head-on even if the latter had completed the fusion of the six elemental attributes of Tenseigan Chakra, the current situation dictated otherwise:
The enemy was exposed in the light, while Hyuga Yu remained hidden in the dark.
Otsutsuki Tsugushiki could not confirm that Hyuga Yu was indeed the "Hyuga Tennin," let alone lock onto his exact location. He had merely used the disturbance of the Golden Wheel Rebirth Explosion to approximate the general vicinity of the shinobi world's Tennin.
Furthermore, the upper limit of the enemy's power was largely locked into his current realm, whereas Hyuga Yu still had vast room for growth—
The other three elemental hearts for Earth Grudge Fear, Senjutsu, Cursed Seals, Fuinjutsu, Space-Time Ninjutsu, Summoning Jutsu, and all manner of Forbidden Jutsu...
In addition, as a well-connected local powerhouse in the shinobi world, Yu could easily call for backup.
Under these circumstances, Yu had plenty of opportunities to formulate strategies, continuously gather intelligence on the enemy, probe the limits of his strength, and run him ragged before the guy even caught a glimpse of his face.
Most crucially, just as the enemy did not know Yu's location or identity, Yu likewise did not know where the upper limit of the enemy's strength lay. An embryonic Tenseigan that had completed the fusion of six elemental attributes could already unlock almost all permissions for the Giant Tenseigan. To what extent could the power projected into the shinobi world by the Giant Tenseigan—the ultimate weapon—reach?
In a battle of this scale, approaching the Six Paths level, would he be able to preserve the enemy's body as much as possible while killing him?
Could this Otsutsuki's body be used to feed the Ten-Tails?
With this thought, Hyuga Yu decided not to rush into a blind clash with the enemy, choosing instead to proceed slowly and deliberately. After all, he was highly interested in the bloodline, body, and genes of these descendants of Hamura Otsutsuki, who had survived since the Era of Ninshu...
At that moment, Hyuga Yu looked down at the bewildered Sasori and Hiruko, speaking calmly, "We're leaving!"
Hiruko was still deeply immersed in the shocking secrets Yu had just revealed, thoroughly stunned. He looked up blankly and asked in confusion, "Huh? Why are we suddenly leaving? Where are we going?"
Sasori also looked up with a perplexed expression.
Ignoring whatever thoughts the two might have, Yu grabbed each of them by the arm, lifting them up. He then executed Universal Pull to snatch Kakuzu, who was hiding not far away, and slung him onto his back. Activating the Wind Style: Ryūgō chakra within his body, he dropped into a low stance and slammed his foot violently against the ground!
The repulsive force of Almighty Push, compressed beneath the soles of his feet, exploded instantly!
"Whoosh!"
Amidst a tremendous sonic boom, as if launched from a giant slingshot, Hyuga Yu dragged Sasori and Hiruko while carrying an utterly dazed Kakuzu on his back. Like a bluebird spreading its wings, he transformed into a beam of azure light and shot high into the sky!
A single massive leap covered thousands of meters instantly!
Once airborne, he repeated the process, stepping through the air like a cloud-walking technique, detonating the air beneath his feet to propel himself upward several times using repulsive force. He shot directly to an altitude of 7,000 meters, entering the stratosphere. There, Yu switched to his Fire Style: Tenseigan Chakra, relying on the extreme heat of his Plasma Vortex Mode to erupt massive plasma streams beneath his feet, gliding through the stratosphere at high speeds!
In just a short hour, after expending nearly half of the chakra in his body, he finally glided down from the high altitude and landed.
By now, the four of them had traversed 300 kilometers, completely distancing themselves from the vast wasteland of the western Land of Rivers.
Soon, they glided down into a dense forest within the Land of Rivers.
Upon landing, Hyuga Yu set the three down, found a massive boulder, and sat cross-legged to rest, kneading his chakra to recover. After mastering Wind Style: Ryūgō, Almighty Push, and Fire Style: Plasma Vortex Mode, Yu had acquired this brute-force, miracle-like capability for [short-duration supersonic flight]. Had he not needed to expend extra effort using a Wind Style: Chakra Scalpel to help Sasori and Hiruko maintain their breathing in the stratosphere, Yu could have flown much farther on his own.
At this moment, "Blegh!" Sasori, who possessed the weakest physical constitution among the four, leaned against a tree with trembling legs and began to vomit violently.
Hiruko and Kakuzu, whose minds were similarly completely blank, stared at each other in stunned silence, both able to see the sheer, unutterable shock written all over the other's face.
The Tennin could actually fly?
And he could even fly while carrying people?
Furthermore, how could he fly so fast and for so long?!
This completely shattered their understanding of the world. Flight was an extremely rare capability even among ninja. While techniques like Iwagakure's Light-Weight Rock Technique, Sunagakure's Magnet Release, Konoha's Super Beast Imitating Drawing ink birds, or rearing large summoning beasts like Giant Eagles or the Yatagarasu could grant a ninja the ability to fly, none compared to this.
To fly as fast and as nimbly as the Tennin—and even maintain their normal breathing and allow them to cast jutsu in the stratosphere while breaking the sound barrier—was completely unheard of.
This meant that even if the Tennin were entirely alone, should another Great Shinobi War break out, he could single-handedly seize absolute air superiority!
Hiruko and Kakuzu immediately realized that when combined with the Tennin's various wide-range area-of-effect ninjutsu, the sheer deterrent power he could project in a war would be even more terrifying than that of the Yellow Flash, Minato Namikaze!
Unfortunately, it was already the tail end of the Third Great Shinobi War. Large-scale ninja warfare had almost vanished, replaced mostly by small squads executing missions and engaging in localized skirmishes. None of them would get the chance to witness such a horrific spectacle on the grand stage.
But based on this alone, there was no doubt that the Tennin had already surpassed Kumogakure's Third Raikage, Ay. Among the small handful of the strongest individuals in the shinobi world known to Hiruko and Kakuzu, he held a nearly overwhelming advantage!
And the last person to possess such a terrifying, overwhelming advantage was named—
Hashirama Senju!
Having truly realized this, the weights in Hiruko and Kakuzu's hearts finally settled, and any lingering resistance they felt toward submitting to the Tennin's command and joining Root completely vanished.
It wasn't that they had doubted the Tennin's combat prowess before, but rather that seeing him wield a golden sword of light that literally towered into the heavens made him look more like a god than a shinobi. This had left them viewing Hyuga Yu through a sort of frosted glass filter, making him feel surreal.
Only after personally experiencing this kind of shinobi method, along with an uncounterable, crushing flight ninjutsu, did they seem to regain a clearer understanding of the Tennin. The Tennin was still human, still a shinobi; his power was still rooted in the unique ninjutsu he had developed...
As for that twenty-thousand-meter-long golden sword of light... it was probably just a jutsu beyond their current comprehension... right?
Meanwhile, Hyuga Yu paid no heed to how displaying his flight capabilities affected his newly recruited subordinates. Having escaped the risk zone of a direct confrontation with Otsutsuki Tsugushiki, Yu sat cross-legged on the massive boulder to recover his chakra, his thoughts consumed by a far more severe problem—the second vision delivered by Dojutsu: Juppō.
It was a scene observed from Yu's own perspective, standing atop the Fourth Hokage Rock, witnessing the falling of the moon.
Right now, Konoha was still under the Third Hokage's rule, and the election for the Fourth Hokage was only in its preparatory stages. The exact candidate for the Fourth Hokage hadn't even been decided yet, let alone the construction of a fourth face on the Hokage Monument.
Yet, in that fragment of the future, Hyuga Yu was undeniably standing on the completed Fourth Hokage Rock. It wasn't under construction or crudely carved; it had clearly weathered the elements for quite some time.
This meant that the future where the moon fell would take place at least a year after the Fourth Hokage election concluded.
The Otsutsuki branch house on the moon would gain ultimate authority over the Giant Tenseigan and ultimately initiate the process to destroy the shinobi world!
And the most troublesome part was that in that specific future timeline, Hyuga Yu himself was not on the moon. He wouldn't be able to stop its descent from the lunar surface like Naruto did in the events of The Last.
This was equivalent to telling Hyuga Yu: The shinobi world will be destroyed on a certain night a year from now, and all you can do is watch.
Unless, of course, you can fucking blast the moon out of the sky from down here on Earth!
Even if you could blow up the moon, what happens next? The collateral impact of the moon exploding would still be catastrophic for the shinobi world. No matter what you did or how you did it, you absolutely could not prevent this final outcome from occurring!
So, what should you do? How could you even act?
Just as it had shown when he first mastered Dojutsu: Juppō, the future was normally unknown and fluid to Hyuga Yu. But the "future of the future" that he observed—or rather, what the [God] forced him to see—was predetermined and destined to happen.
Because of Juppō—a technique that transcended the boundaries of Dojutsu and closely resembled a "Shinjutsu"—Hyuga Yu, standing at the beginning of time, had formed a bizarre connection with that ultimate organism residing at the end of time. Yu did not know if this was a blessing or a curse. On one hand, it provided the present Yu with a fixed reference point, giving him a glimpse of what was destined to pass so he could make extensive preparations in the interim between the present and the future.
On the other hand, this terrifying sensation of his Dojutsu completely evading his control—the fact that it could utterly bypass his self-imposed seals and restrictions at any given moment—filled Yu with an innate sense of helplessness and a spine-chilling dread!
It felt as though his eyes were no longer his own.
Behind his pupils lurked an even more terrifying entity, using his gaze to observe reality and measure the future.
Guided by this awakened Dojutsu, that incomprehensible, horrific entity was pumping a massive amount of knowledge into him—knowledge that he shouldn't possess. This process involuntarily reminded Hyuga Yu of something from Boruto: "Karma."
It was a unique ability originating from the Otsutsuki clan, where they compressed their own biological data and implanted it into a human body known as a "Vessel," forming a "Karma" mark. Over time, this compressed file would gradually "extract" within the Vessel. Once the data was fully extracted, the Vessel's body would be completely overwritten by the Otsutsuki's own data, causing the Vessel's original existence to vanish entirely while the Otsutsuki successfully resurrected through them.
Having experienced the loss of control over Dojutsu: Juppō, Hyuga Yu felt that his pair of Byakugan now carried a connotation eerily similar to a Karma mark.
In a way, from the exact moment Hyuga Yu awakened Dojutsu: Juppō, his Byakugan had transformed into something akin to a Karma mark—or rather, his Byakugan was the Karma mark!
And Hyuga Yu himself had become the "Vessel" for that ultimate organism: Shibai Otsutsuki!
As this Dojutsu continued to activate and the future of the future was repeatedly anchored, the things he saw increased. This content, which Yu was never meant to witness, became the data currently "extracting." Ultimately, Hyuga Yu's existence would fade away, and Shibai Otsutsuki—who had already ascended to an incomplete four-dimensional being—would use Yu's body to perform a dimensional descent, completely resurrecting to reign over this universe once more!
So, what was the trigger for this resurrection? Where was it? In what form would it manifest?
Almost instinctively, Hyuga Yu realized it lay within that specific future timeline shown by Dojutsu: Juppō.
Just like the activation protocol of a Karma mark, if he were to die in the future anchored by Shibai Otsutsuki, or if his existence became so weakened at that node that he was on the brink of death, Shibai Otsutsuki could forcefully descend upon that predetermined node fabricated in the future of the future!
In this war between a Vessel and an Otsutsuki, if Hyuga Yu wanted to win as the Vessel, his only option was to survive one fabricated crisis node after another. He had to keep getting stronger throughout this process—strong enough until...
He could stand in the present and slaughter the future!
This was a war of time!
