Chapter 188 -  Trunks Gets Beaten Up

Gohan and Videl chatted as they walked, and before long, they reached the spot where they had to part ways.

Before saying goodbye, Videl suddenly asked, "By the way, Gohan, how have Goten and Hongrui been lately? They only stopped training for one summer, but it feels like I haven't seen them in forever."

Videl didn't really like training with little children.

Some time ago, she had already stopped training with Goten and Hongrui and had started training with Gohan and the others instead.

Of course, her strength still couldn't keep up with them. She couldn't wear heavy weights like they did, but the training content was mostly the same.

So, by now, she hadn't seen Goten and Hongrui for nearly two months.

Gohan pushed up his glasses, a helpless smile appearing on his face.

"Don't even mention it. Goten just got into trouble."

"Trouble?"

Gohan nodded.

Videl asked curiously, "What kind of trouble could he possibly get into?"

Gohan looked a little awkward, as if he didn't really want to continue.

Videl immediately leaned closer.

"Come on, tell me. What happened?"

Gohan hesitated for a moment before saying, "It's actually not that serious. Yesterday, he beat up Trunks from Uncle Vegeta's family, and Mom punished him by not letting him eat dinner."

Videl was shocked.

"No way. He's that strong, and he still dared to fight? The consequences must've been serious, right?"

Gohan shook his head.

"Not really. Goten is young, but he knows his limits. Besides, Trunks's father is also a Saiyan, so Trunks isn't weak either."

Videl smiled.

"Then your dad definitely beat him up yesterday, right?"

Gohan shrugged, his tone carrying a hint of pride.

"No. Dad didn't beat him or scold him. He even encouraged him."

"What?"

Videl's mouth fell open in surprise.

Gohan said, "Goten was punished by Mom and made to stand facing the wall. Dad secretly brought him a chicken leg and praised him for fighting well."

"Then Mom found out, and both of them were punished to face the wall…"

"Ah, so that happened…"

Videl couldn't help laughing.

"Mr. Goku really is special."

She imagined the scene—

One of the strongest warriors in the world standing against a wall like a child who had done something wrong.

The smile on her lips deepened.

Gohan nodded.

"Yeah. Dad has always been special."

"Aunt Bulma said that ever since she met Dad when she was little, she has never seen him lose a fight."

Videl froze.

"Really?"

"Then Mr. Goku really doesn't show his true strength. I didn't expect him to be that powerful."

"To be honest, after knowing him for so many years, I always thought of him as a gentle, kind father."

Gohan nodded.

"Yeah. With Dad, being strong and being kind don't conflict."

"But Mom was worried Goten would learn bad habits, so she punished him yesterday."

As they spoke, the last glow of the sunset disappeared.

Gohan quickly said, "Alright, it's getting late. I need to go home, Videl."

"Tomorrow is Saturday. Remember to come to my house early for training."

Videl nodded.

"Mm, got it."

After that, the two went their separate ways and flew into the sky.

One day earlier, violent rumbling echoed from Vegeta's house.

"Useless!"

"You can't even beat Kakarot's child. How embarrassing!"

Vegeta's roar made the windows buzz.

Trunks lowered his head, but there wasn't the slightest hint of surrender on his face.

He stubbornly muttered, "Dad, haven't you also never beaten Goten's dad?"

"What did you say?"

Vegeta's eyes widened in rage.

Trunks was so frightened he almost cried, but he bit his lip and endured it.

Molian hurried over.

When she saw her son's wronged expression, her heart ached so badly that she stomped her foot.

"Vegeta, what are you doing? He's still only a child!"

"Shut up!"

Vegeta shouted without even turning around.

"I am the proud prince of all Saiyans!"

"If my son can't even beat the son of a low-class warrior, what will people think if word gets out?"

Molian crouched down and gently touched Trunks's cheek.

"Tell Mommy. Is Goten really that strong?"

Trunks nodded, his voice as quiet as a mosquito.

"He… he can turn into that golden-haired form."

"His strength suddenly became really huge…"

Vegeta suddenly turned around, his pupils shrinking sharply.

"What?"

"That brat can already transform into a Super Saiyan?"

Molian also covered her mouth in shock.

"He's only a little over six years old. How is that possible?"

Trunks nodded.

"It's true. He transformed. Otherwise, I wouldn't have lost to him…"

Vegeta's fists clenched until they cracked.

"Damn it. So it's true."

"I suffered so much before I finally became a Super Saiyan."

"But that brat can transform at only a few years old?"

"This joke has gone too far…"

Suddenly, Vegeta's expression turned fierce.

He grabbed Trunks and pulled him up.

"From today onward, I will personally train you."

"There will be a World Martial Arts Tournament soon."

"At that tournament, you must defeat him!"

"F-Father…"

Trunks's voice began to tremble.

"Vegeta, don't force the child!"

Molian wanted to stop him, but Vegeta silenced her with a cold look.

"What nonsense are you saying?"

"We Saiyans are a warrior race."

"Do you want our son to live forever in the shadow of Kakarot's family?"

Molian opened her mouth, but in the end, she silently stepped aside.

She understood her husband's pride.

She also understood what this meant for Trunks.

And so—

Vegeta began training Trunks personally.

After only one short day, the gravity room's setting had already been raised to one hundred times Earth's gravity.

Trunks's small body trembled.

Every muscle in him was screaming in protest.

His vision began to blur.

All he could hear was his father's harsh scolding.

"Stand up!"

"A Saiyan's pride does not allow you to fall!"

Under his father's pressure, Trunks suffered terribly.

However, when Vegeta mentioned Saiyan pride—

Trunks seemed to faintly understand what pride truly meant.

After being beaten by Goten, he had noticed that the other children had started looking down on him.

Still, even a starving camel was bigger than a horse.

He was Vegeta's son after all.

As long as his opponent wasn't Goten, all the children in school combined wouldn't be enough for him to fight.

Among children, once someone was bullied, they were destined to be looked down upon.

At that moment, Trunks felt something explode within his body.

An unprecedented power surged through his limbs.

Golden aura suddenly erupted.

His hair stood upright and turned gold.

His pupils became emerald green.

"S-Super Saiyan?"

Vegeta's eyes widened.

Then he burst into wild laughter.

"Hahahahaha!"

"As expected of my son!"

"Under my guidance, you became a Super Saiyan in a single day!"
