"What?" Zee's head nearly turned toward a masked man standing near them. However, Jonathan moved quickly, pinning Zee's head in place with his right palm.
"Don't," Jonathan cautioned, his voice low but sharp. His left hand remained locked firmly on Zee's hip. "He's taking pictures of us."
"Why?" Zee whispered, her breath hitching.
"It seems he's someone's errand boy," Jonathan muttered, his eyes sweeping briefly ahead.
"Who do they think we are? We aren't anyone important!" Zee protested, her voice rising slightly.
"It seems to be the work of one of our exes," Jonathan replied, keeping his voice steady and low.
"I don't think it's David. Is it your ex?" Zee asked.
"Likely," Jonathan said, a cunning expression now crossing his face.
"Let's put on a show of affection for him," Jonathan suggested, his tone sounding challenging.
