Chapter 11 - Chanderi Has Its Own Rules

Ayaan had learned something important after coming to Chanderi.

The biggest surprise was not the supernatural.

It was how normal everything felt.

People still argued about prices.

Shopkeepers still called customers.

Families still had breakfast together.

Children still played in the streets.

And somewhere in the middle of all that...

A ghost story existed.

---

Morning arrived.

Ayaan walked into the kitchen.

Then stopped.

Because Shraddha was already there.

Again.

He looked at her.

"Should I start charging rent?"

Shraddha looked back calmly.

"This is your apartment."

"Exactly. I should get some benefit."

She smiled.

"Your logic is strange."

---

A black shape appeared slightly from Ayaan's shoulder.

Morphion formed a small face.

**"I agree."**

Ayaan looked at her.

"Why are you helping her?"

**"Because my observations are correct."**

"You are supposed to be my partner."

**"I am your partner. Not your supporter in every argument."**

---

Shraddha laughed.

Ayaan smiled.

This was becoming normal.

And that was strange.

---

A person who knew the future.

A supernatural girl connected to Chanderi's secrets.

A living symbiote.

All sitting together in the morning.

Eating breakfast.

---

If his old self could see this...

He probably wouldn't believe it.

---

Later, Ayaan and Shraddha walked through the town.

People were slowly getting used to seeing him.

A new face was no longer a big event in Chanderi.

---

One old man looked at Ayaan.

"You are new here?"

Ayaan nodded.

The man lowered his voice.

"Then remember one thing."

"Don't go outside alone at night."

Ayaan already knew why.

But he still asked:

"Why?"

The old man looked around.

"Because Chanderi has traditions."

Ayaan smiled.

"Ghost-related traditions?"

The old man became serious.

"How do you know?"

Ayaan paused.

Then shrugged.

"Guess."

---

Inside his mind:

**"You almost revealed knowledge you should not have."**

Ayaan replied:

"I know."

**"You enjoy doing that."**

"Sometimes."

---

Shraddha looked at him.

"You really are strange."

Ayaan smiled.

"That makes two of us."

---

That evening...

Ayaan and Shraddha were returning home.

The streets were quieter.

The festival preparations had started.

People were talking about the old stories again.

---

Then Ayaan noticed something.

Not a surprise.

Not a mystery.

Just a familiar feeling.

---

A supernatural presence.

---

Morphion spoke.

**"Something is nearby."**

Ayaan sighed.

"Of course."

Shraddha looked at him.

"You are not surprised."

Ayaan smiled.

"I expected Chanderi to eventually remind me where I am."

---

The air became colder.

A shadow moved between the buildings.

---

The figure slowly appeared.

It was not a normal creature.

Its body looked like it was made from smoke and old memories.

A distorted human-like shape.

A face that could barely maintain form.

Its movements were unnatural.

Not like a person.

Not like an animal.

Something between.

---

Shraddha became serious.

"It sensed us."

Ayaan nodded.

"More specifically..."

He looked at the creature.

"The energy change."

---

The Synaris bond.

The spiritual evolution.

Morphion.

To something supernatural, they were a completely new existence.

---

Morphion emerged.

Her head formed near Ayaan's shoulder.

**"So it is curious."**

Ayaan looked at her.

"Curious?"

Morphion watched the creature.

**"And aggressive."**

A pause.

**"A bad combination."**

---

The creature suddenly attacked.

---

Shraddha moved back.

Ayaan didn't.

Not because he was careless.

Because he understood.

---

This wasn't a mastermind.

Not a hidden enemy.

Not some grand event changing the world.

Just a supernatural being reacting to something unfamiliar.

---

Ayaan activated his spiritual perception.

The world changed.

The invisible layer became visible.

---

He could see:

The spiritual energy.

The unstable connection.

The reason it could exist here.

---

"It isn't attacking because it hates us."

Shraddha looked at him.

"Then why?"

Ayaan answered:

"Because it doesn't understand us."

---

Morphion spread over his arm.

The black symbiote material changed.

Faint spiritual patterns appeared across its surface.

---

**"Synaris spiritual adaptation active."**

---

The creature attacked again.

Ayaan moved.

Not like someone fighting blindly.

Like someone who already understood the opponent.

---

He didn't attack its body.

Because the body was not the real existence.

---

He reached toward the spiritual connection.

---

And touched it.

---

Something impossible.

A human hand interacting with something non-physical.

---

Shraddha's eyes widened.

"You can do that?"

Ayaan smiled.

"Apparently."

---

Morphion assisted.

Together they disrupted the unstable spiritual energy.

Not destroying.

Not killing.

Just separating.

---

The creature weakened.

Its form became unstable.

The connection holding it to the area faded.

---

Slowly...

It disappeared.

---

Silence returned.

---

Shraddha looked at Ayaan.

"You let it go?"

Ayaan nodded.

"It wasn't evil."

A pause.

"It was just reacting."

---

Morphion appeared.

**"Your solution was surprisingly peaceful."**

Ayaan smiled.

"Don't get used to it."

**"There it is."**

---

They continued walking.

Like nothing happened.

---

Back at the apartment...

Shraddha sat near the window.

"You really knew something would happen."

Ayaan looked at her.

"I knew a story."

A pause.

"But reality is different."

---

"Does that bother you?"

Ayaan smiled.

"No."

"Why?"

---

"Because knowing the story doesn't mean knowing every moment."

He looked outside.

"And honestly..."

"Reality is more i

nteresting."

---

Morphion appeared.

**"A rare moment of wisdom."**

Ayaan looked at her.

"Rare?"

**"I said what I said."**

---

Shraddha laughed.

And Ayaan realized something.

This was what he wanted.

Not just power.

Not just changing events.

A life.

---

Outside...

Chanderi continued.

The legend of Stree still existed.

The future still moved.

The major story remained.

But now...

Ayaan was inside it.

---

And the world would have to adjust.
