Kaido descended to the ground on Dressrosa's west coast, shouting at the top of his lungs with both hands raised.
The sheer shockwave shattered rocks and boulders nearby, showing just how terrifyingly powerful that roar — and the man himself — truly was.

Dressrosa — The Flower Fields
Under the shade of a large tree, Grimm was leaning against the trunk, resting on the grass. He slowly opened one eye.
Hancock and her sisters, plus Violet — who had come along just to join in the fun again today — all turned their heads toward the town at the sound of the shout.
ROAAAR…
Grimm stood up lazily and began walking toward the town, yawning so wide tears formed at the corners of his eyes.
"He's here… and making quite a scene."
"Big brother! Big brother! Who is that? He's so loud!" Violet ran up and tugged at his sleeve.
"Just a mad dog," Grimm replied, patting her head. Then his body turned into a flash of golden light and vanished instantly.
Hancock looked at Violet with disdain, though she was burning with jealousy inside.
Why does Lord Grimm never pat my head like that?! She signaled her sisters, and they quickly gave chase.
"Hey! You guys… you're just bullying me because I can't run fast enough!" Violet cried out in frustration.
She had been coming here every day for a whole month. No matter how cold or hostile Hancock and her sisters were toward her, she didn't care — she was here to find Big Brother Grimm anyway.
She started coming every few days, but her naturally outgoing personality had made her a daily visitor these past two weeks.
Her face flushed red, she lifted her long princess dress and ran as fast as her legs could carry her… but alas, her speed and stamina were simply terrible.

"GRIMM! GET OUT HERE NOW!"
Kaido roared and swung his massive fists, smashing the stone walls lining the road from the coast to the town into rubble, destroying them almost completely.
As Kaido reached the town gates, the citizens and King Riku's royal guard had already gathered.
Among the crowd, the disguised Marines — blending in perfectly as ordinary civilians — got their first look at the terrifying beast, one of the Four Emperors: Kaido of the Beasts.
HUMMM!
Just as Kaido prepared to threaten and interrogate the people, a beam of golden light descended from the sky, landing between King Riku and Kaido, hundreds of meters away.
Kaido's eyes locked onto Grimm's face — that infuriatingly smug grin visible beneath his messy black hair. Kaido picked up his pace; every heavy step shook the ground violently.
"Six months ago… you betrayed me! Today I'm gonna settle that score!"
"Six months ago? You mean at Marineford?"
Grimm walked toward him unarmed, empty‑handed.
Soon, they stood facing each other — barely ten meters apart.
A fierce gust of wind blew between them, flapping their long coats loudly.
Neither had made a move yet, nor even unleashed their Haki, but the sheer pressure radiating from them was already so heavy that the disguised Marines' legs turned to jelly.
"QUICK!"
"GET TO SAFETY!"
Unable to endure the aura, the disguised Marines quickly herded the civilians toward the Cathedral on the high ground.
At that moment, the Cathedral of the Holy Light — and the plateau large enough to hold every remaining citizen — was fully protected by a Holy Light Barrier, activated for five days in exchange for 1,000 Holy Points. Inside, they were perfectly safe.
As for the town… if it got destroyed, so be it. It was about time for the city to be rebuilt anyway.
Kaido's arrival hadn't gone unnoticed — the Marines had spotted him the moment he entered Dressrosa waters, especially since he had flown here alone, far ahead of his fleet.
Jack's ships were still miles behind.

About two kilometers away stood the legendary old man, Garp, dressed casually in a floral shirt, shorts, and sunglasses, blending in perfectly like an ordinary citizen.
"Vice Admiral… should we step in now?" asked a Marine, also disguised, watching the impending clash with anxiety.
"Now, now… don't be in such a hurry!" Garp replied, shoveling rice crackers into his mouth while moving closer to the two titans.
"Focus on getting the people safely to the Cathedral. As long as they don't cause trouble for no reason, we stay put. Though… I have to admit, that Grimm kid isn't half bad. He kills pirates, Marines, and soldiers alike… but he treats ordinary folks pretty well, doesn't he? Hahahahaha!"
"GRIMM!!!"
"KAIDO!!!"
Garp's laughter stopped instantly as both men shouted each other's names in pure rage.
In the next second, Kaido swung his massive club downward with all his might. Grimm summoned Ashbringer instantly to meet the blow.
The difference in their size was staggering — like a giant compared to a newborn baby — which only made the sight all the more spectacular.
CLANG!!!
Weapons collided, ringing out like a thunderclap.
The shockwave and recoil forced both men back a step. They charged at each other again immediately.

The disparity in weapon size was as extreme as their height difference — the giant club smashing down, the sword blocking from below — grinding against each other in a deadlock.
No fancy moves, no clever techniques… just two powerful beings swinging weapons and smashing away like madmen.
"AAARRRGGGHHH!!!"
Kaido roared, pushing his club down harder, aiming to crush Grimm completely.
"You think you're the only one who yells?! YOU CRAZY BASTARD — AAAAHHH!!!"
Grimm shouted back just as loud, leaped high, and landed a kick right onto Kaido's nose — his foot tiny compared to Kaido's face, but packed with power.
THUD!
A dull impact sound, and blood began trickling from Kaido's nose.
But Kaido took advantage of the moment, slamming his club directly onto Grimm's body!
"AAAAHHH!!!"
"SCREAM ALL YOU WANT — RAAAAHH!!!"
Both roared in unison. Kaido increased his strength, and Grimm did the same. Both were already bleeding from wounds.
"I'LL KILL YOU TODAY! A THOUSAND TIMES OVER!!!"
"You say that every time, Kaido!"
The Marine standing beside Garp blinked rapidly and whispered, "Mr. Garp… I think they've completely lost control!"
Just then, they separated again. Kaido brought his club crashing down from above. Grimm switched to Truthkeeper and raised his shield to block.
BOOM!!!
The impact shook the sky. The ground beneath Grimm shattered, cracking outward like a spiderweb, all the way to where Garp stood.
"MR. GARP! STOP THEM PLEASE!!!"
More and more Marines gathered around Garp, panic written all over their faces.
Tsk, tsk, tsk…
Garp just kept munching his crackers. His eyes were hidden behind dark sunglasses, so no one could read his expression.
THUD…
Suddenly, Grimm shoved his shield forward with immense force, launching it like a projectile straight at Kaido's head!
