Sera strode toward the heavily guarded dungeon with unwavering confidence, her expression cold and unreadable. The guards standing outside immediately stiffened at her arrival, instinctively lowering their heads in respect.
Even though she was lacking in her duties, her authority within the kingdom remained unquestionable.
"Open up. I want to speak with one of the prisoners," Sera said firmly.
The guards exchanged uneasy glances before one of them stepped forward.
"Gamma Sera, by the king's orders, no one is allowed to speak with Alpha Victor," the guard said respectfully.
Before the last word had fully left his mouth, Sera's fist collided with his face.
Bang!
The impact sent his head snapping violently to the side as blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. The other guards froze in shock. None of them had expected such a sudden attack.
Silence settled over the entrance.
"Who are you speaking to?" Sera asked, her voice dangerously calm.
