(BLUE'S POV)
The wind roared across the mountain peak, tearing curtains of snow into the air until the world became a churning sea of white. Flakes raced past me in furious spirals, swallowed by the storm as quickly as they appeared. My coat rippled behind me, but the freezing air meant nothing to my immortal body.
I stood frozen, my boots planted firmly in the snow, staring down at the scene unfolding before me with a mixture of disbelief and frustration.
Six figures knelt in the snow before me.
Six.
Elena, was at the front, her pale hands pressed together in desperate supplication. Behind her knelt the five boys. Their eyes glowed faintly red in the dim light, their features still carrying the softness of youth.
Daniel. Derek. Marcus. Timothy. Samuel.
