3. Event Consequences:
The abandoned mall located in ■ City, ■ State, United States, was acquired by Umbrella Corporation on February 3, 2008, and was renovated by the Engineering Team.
Two squads of Marines (12 personnel) will reside here long-term with the researchers studying this project to control it and prevent further civilian deaths.
It has been confirmed that the project caused the deaths of two civilians named Johnson and Lucas.
The company performed memory modification on the survivor Ava, making her believe the three were in a car accident and she survived under the protection of her two friends.
4. Project Description:
'The TV in the Mall' is a Motorola 21K1 Black-and-White Television produced by Motorola in 1952.
Image.
It does not require power or a signal to continuously play the long-banned cartoon 'Brook and the Monster Cat'.
It cannot be moved from its initial discovery location; exceeding four meters causes it to disappear and regenerate at the original spot.
Between 22:30 and 05:30 the next day, the project, through unknown means, allows the two 'main characters' from 'Brook and the Monster Cat' to enter the three-dimensional World from the two-dimensional World.
'Brook' will attempt to find items it deems valuable, deposit them into the pool of the central fountain on the mall's first floor, and must evade pursuit by the 'Monster Cat'.
When 'Brook' is caught, chewed, and swallowed by the 'Monster Cat', the 'Monster Cat' returns to the television screen.
This cycle repeats every twenty minutes, resembling some kind of game between them.
However, if humans or other mammals accidentally enter the mall during their game, the 'Monster Cat' will also attempt to capture them.
The reason is unknown.
Nevertheless, both the 'Monster Cat' and 'Brook' can be physically attacked.
A well-trained Umbrella Marine can completely suppress the 'Monster Cat' and force it back into the television screen.
Given that 'The TV in the Mall' exhibits numerous unknown phenomena and poses danger to humans, it is rated as Euclid.
5. Containment Measures:
The Engineering Team constructed a dedicated 8m x 8m x 8m containment vessel around the project, using 5cm thick steel plates.
Testing has shown that neither the 'Monster Cat' nor 'Brook' can escape from the containment vessel.
However, two squads of Marines are still required for alternating guard duty to prevent containment breaches.
Remaining equipment or sealed archives of contained entities are pending unsealing.

...August 8, 2008.
Location:
Umbrella's Rocket launch center in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, in the building of the Space Technology Exploration Department.
Inside a dressing room;
"Boss, don't move, I need to trim your eyebrows."
"Okay."
"Boss, are you satisfied with this hairstyle?"
"Hmm, very good."
William, dressed in a dark gray suit, sat before a makeup mirror surrounded by lights, being groomed by several female makeup artists.
Through the mirror,
William saw that his hairstyle was no longer slicked back but a slightly curly side part, more photogenic than the slicked-back look.
William raised his hand to adjust the hair covering his right eye, sat up straight closer to the mirror, and smiled satisfactorily at the makeup artists:
"You've done very well."
Then he waved to them and said, "Alright, you can all leave for now."
"Yes, Boss."
The makeup artists gathered their tools and left the dressing room as instructed by William.
"Whew!" William sighed heavily.
After all, those makeup artists had been 'drawing and painting' on his face, applying various concealers, making it'smoky and chaotic'.
William felt that men wearing makeup was somewhat... effeminate; he wasn't like that 'fire at will~' guy from some fortress movie who cared so much about his hairstyle.
His usual slicked-back hairstyle was done by himself—just some hair wax and hairspray, simple and convenient.
But with a live interview coming up, for the camera effect and to represent Umbrella's overall image, William had to 'endure humiliation and bear the burden'.
He glanced at the watch on his left wrist.
11:25.
Five more minutes.
Rest a bit.
Then he took Serana's chip from his pocket, placed it on the dressing table in front of him, leaned back in the chair, and said calmly:
"Serana, take this time to brief me on the company's recent status. I've been busy preparing the colonization plan lately and haven't paid much attention to containment operations."
Serana projected from the chip and asked William, "Boss, do you want me to organize all contained entities?"
"Hmm, yes."
"Understood." Then Serana reported respectfully: "From 2007 to today, a total of 173 anomalous phenomena have been contained.
Among them, Safe-class constitutes the majority, with 132 cases.
Euclid-class: 38 cases, Keter-class: 2 cases, and 1 case executed."
'It's been two years since coming to this World, and I never expected there to be so many anomalous phenomena...'
William couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
He had even considered doing nothing and drifting for seventeen years.
Looking at it now,
Earth wouldn't last seventeen years; it wouldn't even make it a year and seven months.
"..." William shook his head silently.
"Knock knock."
At that moment, the dressing room door was knocked, and Hank's voice came from outside: "Boss, the convoy transporting the journalists is about to arrive."
Hearing this, William slightly turned his head and responded, "I understand."
"Boss, is it time for Umbrella to'shake' the World?" Serana said with a smile.
"Ah, yes." William also smiled.
He stood up, patted the wrinkles on his suit with both hands, picked up Serana, and left the dressing room.
Surrounded by Hank and other Alphas, along with many employees from the Space Technology Department, William arrived at the square downstairs.
In front of the square, one could see the Rocket launch pad surrounded by green forests in the distance.
Meanwhile, the Umbrella convoy carrying NBC journalists and the production crew also arrived beside the square.
The NBC production crew got out, set up various live broadcast equipment, and aimed the cameras at the distant launch center.
As for William, he was invited by a female journalist named Melissa Sillio to the front of the camera for an interview.
In the camera frame, William was on the left, Melissa on the right.
Live broadcast begins:
Melissa flashed a professional, sweet smile at the camera and introduced to the viewers:
"Welcome, viewers, to the midday news. I'm your old friend Melissa. Today, we're interviewing the founder and owner of Umbrella Corporation!
(Looking at William beside her) So, Mr. Russell, I hear today Umbrella is announcing a recently completed plan, is that right?"
After speaking, Melissa maintained her smile and looked at William.
William nodded without denying: "That's correct. This plan has been in preparation by Umbrella for over a year, codenamed 'Voyage to Dawn'.
As the codename suggests, it allows us humans to travel the starry seas toward dawn. It is also Umbrella's first colonial Fleet."
Upon hearing this, Melissa looked puzzled: "Fleet? Is it a naval Fleet on the sea?"
"No." William smiled slightly: "It's in space."
