Understanding dawned.
"That's simple."
"Light Magic: Light Sword of Conviction."
Blades of light rained down at terrifying speed.
Cedric gritted his teeth.
"Come on! I'll surpass my limits right here!"
The relentless assault forced his senses to evolve rapidly.
Under this extreme pressure, Cedric finally grasped the concept of sensing energy.
The cost was obvious.
He was full of holes like a porcupine.
"Sally, bring the recovery solution."
Without waiting, Patolli left.
Moments later, Sally arrived.
"Wow, what a big porcupine."

This woman is dangerous.
"What's that thing?"
The pale creature in her arms looked unsettling.
Sally smiled proudly.
"Our child."
Cedric's brain stopped.
"What?"
"Our combined creation. Your 'essence' and my research produced it."
Cedric stared at the creature.
This isn't a child.
This is basically a White Zetsu.
The creature reached out toward him.
"Dada, hug."
Cedric took a step back.
Absolutely not.
"Sally, I'm leaving."
Without hesitation, he teleported away.
Back at the Black Bulls base, Cedric looked at the rising sun.
What the hell just happened last night?

The door was kicked open.
Yami Sukehiro stood there.
"You brat, why haven't you taken any missions these past few days?"
Cedric sighed.
"I was busy not dying."
"Whatever. I've got a meeting. I'll deal with you later."
Yami left as suddenly as he came.
Cedric stared at the broken door.
What was the point of that?
In the dining hall, Asta was missing.
Noelle Silva sat beside Vanessa Enoteca, her face slightly red.
Charmy Pappitson beamed with satisfaction.
Cedric looked much healthier today.
Clearly, her food worked.
Cedric sat down.
"Vanessa, stay away from Noelle. Don't corrupt her."
Vanessa smirked, licking her lips.
"Little Cedric, I heard you haven't been 'playing cards' with Noelle lately."
Cedric's head throbbed.
"Noelle, why would you tell her that?"
Noelle turned bright red.

"None of your business. Go drink your wine," Cedric snapped.
He grabbed Noelle's hand and pulled her away.
Outside, Noelle spoke softly, her face still burning.
"Cedric... Sister Vanessa said you might be tired lately. I don't mind..."
Cedric paused.
He looked down at her flushed face and shy expression.
This girl really has no idea what she's saying.
