Tsuna had arrived on the battlefield and clashed with Alfia.
"That's…!?"
Watching from a safe distance through a pair of high-powered binoculars, Celua gasped in utter shock as she caught sight of a figure wreathed in Dying Will Flames.
"Is that… the rumored Vongola Decimo…!?"
A Japanese teenager. The Vongola crest etched into his Vongola Gear. The brilliant, pure Sky Flames. Piecing the clues together, Celua immediately concluded that the boy was Sawada Tsunayoshi, the chosen successor of the Vongola Famiglia.
Why is he in this world!? Did he come here just to capture me!? The Boss himself!? Because she had cut all ties when she fled, Celua had no way of acquiring information from her home world. She had absolutely no idea how Tsuna had arrived here. Paranoia seizing her mind, she assumed Tsuna had already officially inherited the title of Vongola Boss, and that her cursed rings had caused severe casualties within the Vongola Famiglia, prompting the Boss himself to cross dimensions solely to hunt her down. She began trembling violently, cold sweat pouring down her face.
Celua was aware that the War Game between the Hestia and Apollo Familias had exposed the existence of Welf, a Crozzo capable of forging Magic Swords. She also knew that capturing him was Rakia's true objective for the invasion. However, because Rakia was entirely obsessed with reclaiming their lost military supremacy, they hadn't bothered to gather intelligence on anyone else. Consequently, Celua had never received any reports regarding Tsuna's existence.
Furthermore, Celua never actually believed Rakia's invasion would succeed. She knew that if they actually managed to capture Welf and mass-produce Crozzo's Magic Swords, Rakia's military power would skyrocket. Eventually, they would inevitably turn their newly acquired might against her to eliminate loose ends. To prevent that, she had intentionally avoided interfering with the invasion too deeply.
If she had manipulated them from the shadows to call off the invasion, she wouldn't have been able to harvest the souls required to resurrect Alfia. More importantly, it would have been highly suspicious if Ares and Martinus—two warmongering idiots obsessed with conquering Orario—suddenly called off their campaign despite having absolutely zero chance of winning.
Additionally, Celua had no idea that Tsuna was already aware of the cursed rings. She had distributed the prototypes to various underworld figures in Rakia solely to test if the inhabitants of this world possessed Dying Will Flames. Viewing the recipients merely as disposable lab rats, she hadn't bothered to keep track of who had them. As long as at least one person activated a ring and proved that Flames existed here, her experiment was a success. She had no way of knowing that one of those rings had ended up in the hands of Ted, a casino owner who wasn't even Rakian.
No, think about it! I only sold a product!! Even if her rings had caused casualties within the Vongola, it was the buyer who had used them against the Famiglia, not her. She desperately tried to rationalize her innocence. But she knew the Mafia didn't care about excuses. If the Vongola had marked her for extermination, there was nowhere she could run. She couldn't relax.
I need to get out of here right now!! Though it pained her to abandon her chance to observe Alfia's true power, her survival was paramount. Celua quickly ignited her ring to open her Box Weapon.
No one in this world knew Celua's true face. Paranoia dictating her every move, she constantly disguised her appearance unless she was entirely alone. If she fled now, no one would ever be able to track her down.
"Eh…!?"
But Celua was about to realize that her decision to run had come far too late.
─────
Meanwhile, on the battlefield.
She's strong… Analyzing the carnage, Tsuna quickly deduced that Alfia had single-handedly annihilated the Freya Familia elites. Just from her stance and the pressure radiating from her, Tsuna knew she was a dangerous opponent.
It seems a rather promising talent emerged while I was dead, Alfia thought, equally impressed by the immense pressure radiating from Tsuna.
Hearing the commotion, the Loki Familia executives and Reborn finally arrived on the scene.
"Alfia!?"
"Is it really her…!?"
"That's impossible!! She's supposed to be dead!!"
Catching sight of the woman standing amidst the ruins, Finn, Gareth, and Riveria were completely paralyzed by shock.
"Why is she…!?"
"This can't be happening…!!"
Ais and Bete were equally horrified, staring at Alfia in absolute disbelief.
"You guys seem to know her…?"
"Who exactly is she…?"
Tione and Tiona, on the other hand, could sense the overwhelming, suffocating aura radiating from the woman, but clearly had no idea who she actually was.
"[Silence] Alfia…" Finn muttered, his voice trembling. "A dependent of the Hera Familia. The most phenomenally gifted talent since the dawn of the Age of Gods. The Level 7 adventurer feared as the Monster of Calamity…"
""!?""
The moment Finn uttered those titles, a shockwave of dread ripped through Tsuna, Reborn, and everyone else who hadn't known her true identity.
"You mean she's the one who fought the Black Dragon fifteen years ago and died?" Reborn asked.
"Not quite. She died seven years ago. Her death was confirmed in the Dungeon."
"Are you sure she didn't just fake her death?"
"She was born with an incurable disease. A disease so severe it was a miracle she even lived as long as she did. It is medically impossible for her to be alive today."
Then the only logical explanation is…Celua must have done this… If a woman whose death was an absolute biological certainty was standing right in front of them, Tsuna and Reborn both reached the exact same conclusion: Celua must have created a clone of Alfia.
That infant… While Tsuna and the others reeled from the revelation, Alfia's gaze locked onto Reborn. Though Tsuna's presence was certainly alarming, it was the infant—standing perfectly still without a single microscopic opening in his posture—that demanded her absolute attention.
""""""!?""""""
Without warning, Alfia unleashed a wave of pure, condensed killing intent directed entirely at Reborn. The sheer density of the bloodlust forced everyone present to drop into combat stances.
"Not bad."
"!?"
Impressed by the overwhelming pressure, Reborn smirked. In response, he unleashed his own terrifying wave of killing intent directly back at her.
His killing intent is heavier than Alfia's!?To think he possessed such pressure…!? Finn and Ottar were completely stunned by the apocalyptic bloodlust rolling off the infant.
What the hell is this killing intent…!?Just what the hell is this brat…!! Even Allen and Bete, two of the most aggressive and fearless adventurers in Orario, found themselves sweating in genuine terror under Reborn's oppressive aura.
"To think such a fascinating adventurer would appear after my death. And an infant, no less," Alfia remarked calmly.
"I'm not an adventurer. I'm a home tutor."
"A home tutor, you say?"
"My mission is to make the kid right there, Tsuna, as strong as possible. To do that, I'm going to forge him in Orario, and then I'm going to make him slay the Black Dragon. You guys couldn't beat it, which means it'll make the perfect sparring partner for him."
A sparring partner? Is this infant completely insane? Hearing Reborn casually refer to the apocalyptic beast that had effortlessly slaughtered her and the rest of the world's strongest adventurers as a mere "sparring partner," Alfia couldn't hide her absolute disbelief.
"So? Why exactly is a legend from the Hera Familia attacking the Freya Familia?" Reborn asked.
"The reason is simple. I came to exterminate you all. That is all."
"Is that so. Then how about a one-on-one fight with Tsuna?"
"Are you trying to use me?"
"Pretty much. So, what's your answer?"
"Very well. I will play along with your little scheme."
Though she found being manipulated highly irritating, Alfia decided that testing Tsuna's strength wouldn't be a waste of time.
"Tsuna."
"I know."
Tsuna perfectly understood Reborn's unspoken order: Do not forget to extract information about Celua from her. "Let's move somewhere else."
"Do as you please."
Knowing that fighting here would only cause unnecessary casualties and collateral damage, Tsuna suggested changing locations. Alfia accepted without complaint.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi," Finn called out.
"What is it?"
"She is the prodigy who delivered the killing blow to the Leviathan, one of the Three Great Quests. You already know this, but please, be extremely careful."
"Got it."
Nodding at Finn's grave warning, Tsuna flew off with Alfia to find a suitable battlefield.
"Now then. Let us see what you are truly capable of. Show me the power of the strongest Familia in history."
