The night passed, and Damon was currently out on the veranda. His thoughts ran deep during those hours. A lot had happened, and up until now, he still could not accept that his Gamma had managed to betray their pack. Furthermore, there was an enemy inside his territory, and the worst part was Nilo's warning about the war.
"Damon," Jacob softly called out to Damon.
Damon did not turn around and kept his distant gaze. "Why are you still awake? You have training early tomorrow," he remarked.
Jacob walked closer to Damon and stood beside him. He peeked slightly at Damon's face, and he could tell that something was troubling Damon at that very moment.
"Ever since you visited the dungeon, you've been so quiet. Did something happen?" he asked.
A few seconds passed before Damon finally turned to look at Jacob, letting out a deep sigh. Damon gently held Jacob's hand and brought it to his cheek, his gaze cutting deep into Jacob's eyes.
