Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: New Beginning - Birth in a Cultivation Universe

The first thing Noor felt in his new life was not the shock of cold air or the pain of birth. It was a warm, invisible energy flowing through absolutely everything.

*I did it,* Noor thought, his adult mind fully awake inside a tiny infant brain. *I kept my memories. I kept everything.*

A wave of pure, overwhelming joy washed over him. He had actually beaten the cosmic washing machine. He was alive, and his brilliant mind was completely intact.

The doctors in the delivery room waited for the baby to cry. But Noor didn't cry. He simply opened his eyes and looked around the room with calm, bright curiosity.

"He didn't even cry," a nurse whispered in amazement.

Vicky Oswin, his new mother, held him close. She was a beautiful woman with soft, dark hair and kind, exhausted eyes that shone with pure love. Troy Oswin, his father, leaned over them. Troy had a strong, broad build and a warm, gentle smile that made Noor feel instantly safe.

Noor looked down at his own tiny, chubby hands. He was a healthy, bright-eyed baby, and for the first time in two lifetimes, he felt truly warm.

Dr. Aris Thorne, the attending physician, checked the glowing holographic screens next to the bed. "Excellent neural development," the doctor said with a satisfied nod. "And a very strong Origin energy resonance. This child has exceptional potential for future cultivation."

*Origin energy?* Noor thought, his mind racing. *So that is the name of this power I feel everywhere. Is this the Qi, mana, or aether from those fantasy novels I used to read? I can't wait to explore it.*

Troy gently reached out and poked Noor's tiny nose. "Hello there, little one," Troy whispered, his voice full of wonder. "You are going to do great things."

Noor couldn't help it. A bubble of happiness rose in his chest, and he let out a soft, happy giggle.

Vicky's eyes filled with happy tears. "He's perfect, Troy. Absolutely perfect."

*This is what I missed,* Noor realized, feeling a deep lump in his tiny throat. *This is what I died without ever knowing. Unconditional love.*

In his past life, people only cared about what he could achieve. He was a tool for science, isolated and alone. But here, he was just their son. They loved him simply because he existed.

Over the next few months, Noor listened carefully to the world around him. He learned that his family lived in the city of Aethelgard, a place where advanced technology and magic-like cultivation blended seamlessly. Holographic screens floated in the air, while glowing energy conduits in the walls kept the house perfectly comfortable.

He also overheard his parents talking about the wider world. Humanity had spread across twelve billion planets. They had survived alien invasions and built a massive galactic civilization. Cultivation wasn't just a myth here; it was the foundation of their society.

*This universe operates on a scale that makes my old Earth look like a tiny village,* Noor thought with growing excitement. *The cultivation techniques here aren't just for personal power. They are how humanity survives and grows.*

Both of his parents were highly skilled. Troy worked as a cultivation engineer, building technology powered by this Origin energy. Vicky was a researcher who studied how to help people develop their cultivation potential. They were passionate and smart, but their devotion to Noor always came first.

By his sixth month, Noor had enough physical control to try small, secret experiments. He focused on the warm energy in his nursery. He quickly realized that the energy responded to his thoughts, but only if he truly understood how it worked. It wasn't just about wishing for it to happen; it required real comprehension of the underlying rules.

*Fascinating,* Noor thought. *It requires both willpower and genuine understanding.*

One evening, as Vicky sang him a soft lullaby, Noor made a silent promise to himself.

*I won't make the same mistakes this time,* he vowed. *I will pursue knowledge and power, yes. But I will also build real relationships. I will find happiness in connecting with others. I will be brilliant, but I will also be loved.*

As his first birthday approached, Noor had fully adapted to his baby body while keeping his cosmic knowledge hidden. He knew that revealing his true intelligence too early might scare people or disrupt the peaceful, loving life he was building.

*Patience,* he told himself as he watched his parents practice basic energy exercises in their living room. *I have time to grow. I have time to build bonds.*

On the day of his first birthday, the house was filled with family and friends. They laughed, ate cake, and celebrated him with genuine warmth. Noor sat in Vicky's arms, looking at the happy faces around him.

*I am not just a reincarnated genius,* Noor reflected, feeling a deep sense of peace. *I am Noor Oswin. The beloved son. The future cultivator.*

He had everything he had ever wanted: unlimited potential for growth, cosmic knowledge to guide him, and a family that loved him unconditionally.

The revolution could wait a few more years. Family came first.
