Chapter 227 - Absolute 666, and Spawn-Platform Revival

Under the stunned gazes of Spider-Punk, ultimate Spider-Man, and Friendly Neighborhood—whose jaws were practically threatening to detach from their faces—the behemoth who had previously seemed like an invincible nightmare was currently spinning through the air like a high-speed top.

Daemos's colossal, bear-like frame was launched high into the sky, twisting violently before crashing ruthlessly into the earth, instantly obliterating a relatively intact multi-story building further down the street.

Silence...

A bizarre, heavy, and absolute silence instantly blanketed the battlefield.

Spider-Punk's hands went limp, and his custom electric guitar slipped from his fingers, clattering uselessly onto the concrete. Ultimate Spider-Man's pupils dilated to their absolute limit, a deep, chilling dread mixing with a complex storm of disbelief in his eyes.

As for their Friendly Neighborhood companion, his face was currently the textbook definition of being utterly flabbergasted.

Only Gwen stood there watching Peter, who was casually brushing a speck of dust off his jacket as if he had done nothing more notable than swatting away a mildly irritating mosquito. A beautiful, subtle smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

Seriously... it's been way too long since I've seen him flex like this~

BOOM!

Breaking the suffocating silence, a massive pile of concrete debris was violently thrown aside from the far end of the crater.

Daemos rose unsteadily from the fractured stone. One side of his jaw was catastrophically swollen, marked by five vividly clear, crimson fingerprints pressed deep into his flesh. Yet, his expression betrayed absolutely zero fear or pain. Instead... his eyes burned with an even more manic, psychotic ecstasy!

"You can actually make me feel raw pain! There's no mistake! You are undeniably 'The Other' we have been hunting for a century!"

With a savage roar, he kicked off the ground once more, initiating another thunderous charge directly toward Peter.

Except this time, he didn't even manage to cross half the distance. Peter merely flicked his leg upward, unleashing a sharp, invisible lacerating vacuum blade—a textbook Tempest Kick—that sent the brute flying backward at a velocity significantly faster than his initial sprint.

"Again!"

With blood pouring profusely from a jagged gash across his chest, Daemos showed absolutely no signs of backing down, continuing his reckless charge with complete disregard for his own safety.

Peter, who was honestly just immensely bored after so many weeks of domestic tranquility, had no intention of flattening him into a pancake immediately. Instead, he systematically toyed with the lumbering giant, treating him like a minor obstacle.

On one hand, he was genuinely unfamiliar with the operational background of the Inheritor family and wanted to observe their combat traits.

On the other hand, he wanted to see if systematically thrashing the minor spawn would cause the final boss of the clan to immediately deploy a portal to intervene, allowing him to settle the issue permanently.

Slapped away, kicked into orbit, chest cavity caved in by a casual punch, knee shattered into splinters by a light stomp...

Despite the fact that his backward travel speed was currently faster than an express delivery drone, Daemos repeatedly pulled himself up and rushed back into the meat grinder with absolute enthusiasm.

It was as if his inner masochistic soul had been deeply triggered by a brutal FromSoftware game—repeatedly getting obliterated by the boss, yet sprinting straight back from the checkpoint, foolishly believing he could smoothly execute a zero-damage speedrun against Peter.

Finally, after what must have been several dozen times, he was violently swat aside by Peter, a severely mangled Daemos stopped rushing back. He could do nothing more than crawl across the shattered asphalt.

He gasped for air through heavily compromised lungs, his entire frame an absolute tapestry of catastrophic lacerations and broken bones, yet his crimson eyes remained blindingly bright.

He had lost.

Completely, utterly, and without a single shred of a counter-play.

Yet, his face carried absolutely zero tracking of defeat; instead, it was warped into a mask of pure, unadulterated triumph. He lay flat on his back, staring directly into Peter's face as he let out a raspy, victorious cackle:

"I have successfully committed your precise energetic signature to memory... 'The Other'!"

"I cannot defeat you myself, but that doesn't matter in the slightest! My primary objective has already been fully accomplished!"

Daemos's voice overflowed with a cocktail of manic glee and a venomous, parting curse.

The very next millisecond, his broken body underwent a violent structural metamorphosis. The countless wounds across his flesh began to swell rapidly, his entire frame expanding like an over-inflated balloon, instantly shredding what remained of his aristocratic garments. A volatile, suffocating aura of absolute destruction radiated outward from his core.

He was systematically overloading and detonating the massive reservoir of stolen Spider Totem energy inside his cells! He intended to use his own immediate termination to drop a massive, catastrophic parting gift right into Peter's lap!

"Dammit! Fall back! Evacuate immediately!" Superior Spider-Man's face paled as he screamed at the top of his lungs.

Gwen's expression sharpened instantly. Without a single word of hesitation, her sleek black symbiote suit cascaded over her skin.

She whipped her wrists forward, firing twin strands of high-tensile webbing to forcibly snag Friendly Neighborhood and Spider-Punk—who were both frozen in sheer panic—yanking them forcefully behind her position.

"There's no need to panic."

Amidst the absolute chaos of the team, Peter's voice drifted through the air, completely calm and effortless. He reached down and casually depressed the primary bezel of the Omnitrix, a brilliant, blinding golden luminescence erupting from his frame.

Then, with a simple flick of his wrist, a colossal, towering rampart constructed of solid, pristine ice materialized out of thin air, completely separating his team from the detonating giant.

BOOM—!!!

A world-ending shockwave of raw, destructive energy erupted outwards, using Daemos's collapsing body as the absolute epicenter.

Standing safely behind the barrier, Ultimate and the others could vividly feel the catastrophic magnitude of the energy signatures washing against the exterior, their bodies shivering instinctively with an underlying dread.

Yet Peter merely stood at the absolute vanguard of the group, lazily maintaining the energy output feeding the massive glacial wall.

After what felt like an eternity, the thunderous roar of the energy storm gradually subsided.

The surrounding environment was completely unrecognizable. Roughly a third of the entire abandoned cybernetic metropolis had been thoroughly reduced to microscopic ash and floating dust by the magnitude of the self-destruction.

Yet, the massive ice barrier standing directly in front of Peter merely exhibited a few superficial, hairline fractures along its frosted crystalline surface. Gwen and the other Spiders, fully sheltered within its shadow, were entirely unscathed.

As Peter casually dissolved the ice rampart with a wave of his hand, Superior Spider-Man and the others breathed a collective sigh of relief at having escaped certain death. However, their expressions quickly soured into a look of absolute frustration.

The enemy's operational parameters were entirely too extreme. They felt completely useless, unable to provide even a baseline level of support.

What added to their immense discouragement was the fact that since Daemos had chosen a scorched-earth self-destruction, any tactical hopes they had harbored of dissecting and analyzing his corpse to extract vital biological data had been completely wiped out.

"This is an absolute nightmare. If every single member of their species chooses a zero-hesitation self-destruction upon defeat, how many cycles is it going to take us to smoothly identify their biological weaknesses and structural background?" Ultimate Spider-Man muttered, aggressively running his hands through his hair, his face a portrait of pure irritation.

The remaining two Spiders remained silent, though their body language mirrored his exact frustration.

As the heavy cloud of depression settled over the group, Peter's smooth voice echoed through the clearing once again:

"Who exactly told you that self-destruction prevents us from acquiring intelligence?"

As he spoke, Peter casually knelt down into the smoldering debris, smoothly picking up a charred, solitary fragment of Daemos's exploded flesh.

He pressed his finger lightly onto the blackened tissue. In the next fraction of a second, a soft, incredibly radiant white light radiated outwards from his palm.

Horse Talisman—Activate!

Under the absolute, conceptual restoration properties of the talisman, it took less than a handful of seconds for Daemos's colossal, perfectly intact physical body to manifest right back onto the concrete before their completely stunned eyes.

Offering a faint, amused grin to the thoroughly stupefied Spiders, Peter smoothly rotated the dial of the Omnitrix once more, shifting his biology entirely into his advanced Symbiote Mode.

Streams of dark, liquid-like symbiote matter smoothly extended from his hand, completely enveloping Daemos's restored corpse.

Immediately following the contact, a colossal, raging torrent of structural data and raw memories flooded directly into Peter's cognitive architecture like a tidal wave.

It was the complete, unedited life record of Daemos—every single experience from his initial birth to his recent termination, his profound understanding of his clan's inner mechanics, the detailed tactical dossiers regarding every single member of the Inheritor lineage, and the explicit strategies they had formulated to hunt the Spiders. Every single secret was thoroughly harvested by Peter!

The Patriarch: Solus.

The Eldest Brother: Morlun.

Along with every other sibling in the predatory lineage...

As well as the coordinate data for their absolute seat of power—Earth-001.

Within that specific dimension, a realm completely conquered and dominated under their absolute tyrannical rule, sat a colossal, industrial-scale cloning facility. That facility existed for one solitary, terrifying purpose: the mass-production of their exact physical clone vessels.

The moment a member of the family suffered a physical termination in the field, a fresh clone vessel would be instantly decanted from the vats.

Their complete conscious identity, preserved within specialized, blood-red memory crystals, would be seamlessly uploaded into the new body—achieving a literal, systematic resurrection.

"No wonder he committed to the self-destruction with zero hesitation. The bastard literally has a spawn-platform revival waiting for him back at base!"

After tossing out the casual gaming remark, Peter gave a light flick of his finger. A single spark of brilliant golden flame cascaded onto the corpse, thoroughly incinerating the remains until not a single trace of ash remained.

"Let's move," Peter remarked, turning back to face the thoroughly stunned trio of Spiders. "Storytime has officially begun. Let me give you all a comprehensive breakdown regarding the reality of the Inheritor family."
