"This is bad." Says Curry. "It is not that bad. You can just get help from someone else. I am quite good in math." I am so zoned out that I barely hear Maverick suggesting that.
"You are such a dummy! Didn't you hear what she just said? He told her that she is going to get demerits if she works with someone else!"
Maverick looks at me, "Did he?" He saw the answer in my blank expression. "Oh shit then. What are you going to do about it?"
"I don't know." I breathe out, rubbing my eyes. I really don't know.
"Howdy there!" Mom says in a jolly tone as I sit at the table for dinner.
