Chapter 88 - Chapter 87: The Bedside Skirmish of the Oni Sisters

Ram's lips curled into a faint, subtle arc. She raised her Fingers to point at Green, her tone flat but carrying an air of command that brooked no argument.

"Rem, go give him a punch in the face."

"Eh! Me?"

Rem pointed at herself with her Fingers in surprise, her mouth falling open in disbelief.

She instinctively looked at Green, then quickly turned back to Ram, pursing her lips aggrievedly as she pleaded, "But Sister... Green-kun, he..."

"Hmm?"

Ram raised an eyebrow slightly. A hint of indisputable coldness flickered in her pinkish-purple eyes, and she drew out the last syllable, exerting a silent pressure.

Rem fell silent instantly, her shoulders slumping slightly like a kitten being scolded by its owner.

Faced with the bloodline suppression from her older sister, Rem still didn't dare to disobey.

She stole a glance at Ram's tense profile, then looked at the playful expression on Green's face opposite her.

Finally, she sighed as if resigning herself to fate and slowly shuffled over to stand before Green.

The girl clutched the corner of her clothes, lowering her eyes, not daring to look at him.

Puff!

After hesitating for a long while, she finally raised her small fist and pressed it against Green's face at an extremely slow speed.

"Slurp~"

Feeling the slight pressure and warm temperature on his cheek, Green couldn't help but find it amusing. Driven by some strange impulse, he stuck out his tongue and gave it a lick.

"Ah!"

Rem was startled and hurriedly pulled her hand back.

Ever since she had confirmed her relationship with Green-kun, this guy enjoyed teasing her even more.

She hurriedly shot Green a look toward the door and whispered urgently, "Green-kun, Rem thinks it would be better if you ran away quickly!"

Ram covered her face in exasperation.

"Rem, you're spoiling this guy too much. Your future status in the family is looking a bit worrying."

Rem turned around and gave a sweet, innocent smile. "It's alright, Sister. The love between Green-kun and Rem is real; Rem firmly believes in that."

Green hugged Rem from behind, his hands stroking her warm lower abdomen.

"That's so moving, Rem. It seems I must respond to this love. I love you, love you, love you—my brain is trembling..."

Sensing that Green's restless hands were trending downward, Rem quickly lifted them and placed them back on her waist.

"Green-kun~ you have to be good right now!"

"Yes, my lady wife. No problem, my lady wife."

"Sigh, who can save Ram? I have to think of a way."

Ram shook her head helplessly, her heart filled with complex emotions.

That damned innate talent, Dual-Heart Synchronization, had really put her through the wringer.

Ram had no intention of separating from Rem. She had already decided that even if Green and Rem got married in the future, they would have to continue working at the Mansion.

But Green and Rem would inevitably have times when they were all over each other, and at those moments, there was no way to stop the transmission of emotions and sensations.

Just thinking about that wave-like sensation of oxygen deprivation that washed over her last night made her heart palpitate.

Last time, it had been diluted by a distance of thousands of miles before reaching her. If this young couple were to be intimate next door, Ram felt she would definitely be done for.

Ram had foreseen this outcome long ago.

During the Mana replenishment, the reason she felt so exhausted was half due to the pleasure of the mana influx and half because she was desperately guarding the valve of emotional transmission.

"Then take your time thinking. Rem and I are going to have a little meeting."

Green curled his lip and pushed Rem by the shoulders, intending to teleport back to the Royal Capital through the gate of opportunity on the wardrobe.

Ram's eye twitched. She felt that this bastard Green wasn't listening to her at all.

"Stop! Rem has to rest with me today."

"I refuse! Why do you get to sleep with my wife? Do you take me for an incompetent husband?"

Green shielded Rem tightly in his arms, staring warily at Ram.

Rem leaned longingly into Green's embrace, closing her eyes with a happy smile.

"Alright, Green-kun. Let's be considerate of Sister. Rem will compensate you afterward."

Green's eyes widened in surprise as he asked, "A one-time compensation?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, the girl seemed to realize the ambiguity in them, and her cheeks instantly flushed bright red.

"N-No, it's not like that!"

She buried her head low, her voice barely a whisper.

"It's just... just making some delicious food for Green-kun... or helping you massage your legs and such..."

Ram couldn't watch any longer. She stepped forward, snatched Rem from Green's arms, and gave Green an annoyed look.

"Truly surprising. Your foul language is now hidden within normal vocabulary."

As she spoke, Ram helped Rem to the bedside.

The little girl stretched and finally curled up softly under the covers, blinking her big, bright eyes. "Goodnight, Green-kun. You must dream of Rem tonight."

Ram also lifted the covers and snuggled next to Rem, waving her hand at Green as if shooing a fly. "Turn off the Magic Lamp on your way out."

Green curled his lip and reluctantly moved to the Magic Lamp, lightly tapping the crystal on the lamp base with his fingertip.

The warm yellow glow seemed to have its breath cut short, suddenly vanishing. The room was left with only a bit of hazy silver moonlight leaking in from the window.

Green's walking made distinct footsteps as he sauntered over to the gate of opportunity embedded in the wardrobe.

He raised his hand and grasped the cold metal doorknob. With a soft click, he pulled the gate of opportunity open a crack.

Green paused deliberately and even made a show of lifting his foot, tapping the toe of his shoe lightly against the threshold to create the illusion that he had already stepped inside.

Having done this, Green crouched down and crept silently through the darkness toward the bed.

He channeled his beast prince ability. His eyes gradually transformed into vertical slits, granting him night vision.

Lying on her side, Rem quietly watched the dark shadow approach her, her lips curving into a sweet arc.

The girl had only one thought in her mind: Green-kun is really so cute.

Finally reaching the side of the bed, Green slowly raised his head and immediately locked eyes with Rem.

Green froze for two seconds, then immediately began to whisper.

"Wife, move back a bit..."

Rem obediently made a small space for Green.

Under the cover of Rem's movement, Green synchronized with her retreat and scrambled onto the bed.

A sigh from Ram drifted through the silent darkness. How had her cute little sister become such a love-struck fool?

"Sigh, Ram's bed will have to be thrown away tomorrow..."

"You're not asleep, Ram?" Green asked nonchalantly, without a hint of guilt.

"Does Ram look like the kind of creature that falls asleep in a second?"

"Then move further inside. I'm about to fall off," Green pushed his luck, grumbling dissatisfiedly.

"Don't tell me you have some kind of Divine Protection of Thick-Skinnedness?"

Despite her sharp tongue, the soft-hearted Ram still moved further in. A small bed was a bit cramped for three people.

Green finally got his wish. He buried his head in Rem's embrace, the faint fragrance from the girl's hair lingering around his nose.

Ram closed her eyes as if accepting her fate. Green was right before; he and Rem couldn't stay formal and distant forever because of her. That would be like forcing Rem to live a life of celibacy.

She might as well try to get used to it as much as possible.

There were only two sprouts of the Oni race left—her and Rem. She shouldn't stand in the way of the race's revival.

Sensing Ram's compromise, Green stole a glance and said disdainfully:

"Are you sick, Ram? Do I look like the kind of person driven solely by lust? I'm here to talk business with you."
