Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 – The Genius Who Conquered Charms Class

Inside the Charms classroom, Professor Flitwick stood atop a pile of books behind his desk while enthusiastically addressing the students below.

"Children, I believe that after several days at Hogwarts, you've already gained a basic understanding of magic."

"Therefore, today I shall teach you an entirely new spell—the Levitation Charm!"

"The Levitation Charm allows a target object to hover in a fixed state and even lets the caster control its movement afterward."

"Whether for practical use or otherwise, this is an extremely wonderful spell!"

The tiny professor then carefully demonstrated the wand movement while repeatedly emphasising the pronunciation.

"Remember carefully."

"It's Wingardium Leviosa."

"Not Leviosar."

After explaining the theory and precautions behind the charm, Professor Flitwick finally allowed the first-years to begin practising on their own.

Ron immediately waved his wand wildly at the feather lying on the table.

"Wingardium Leviosa! Wingardium Leviosa! Wingardium Leviosa!"

Unfortunately, the feather remained completely motionless.

It looked about as lively as a dead fish.

Even worse, Ron's frantic flailing nearly jabbed Hermione in the face several times.

Finally unable to tolerate him anymore, Hermione grabbed Ron's wrist furiously.

"You idiot!"

"The pronunciation is Wingardium Levi-o-sa, not whatever nonsense you're shouting!"

"And could you stop waving your wand around like a troll?"

Ron's face immediately flushed crimson.

Hermione then lifted her own wand elegantly.

"Wingardium Leviosa."

The feather instantly rose smoothly into the air.

Several nearby students gasped in surprise.

Hermione wasn't particularly shocked herself.

After all, she had spent the past several days obsessively studying this spell.

Besides…

Logan's absurd performance aboard the Hogwarts Express still lingered vividly in her mind.

Compared to him, this achievement barely counted for anything.

And right on cue—

"Remarkable."

Professor Flitwick's excited voice suddenly echoed throughout the classroom.

"I had already heard rumours that this year's first-years included a young wizard capable of casting magic without a wand."

"But seeing it personally today… I must admit the rumours were not exaggerated in the slightest."

Everyone immediately turned toward Logan.

At that moment, he sat casually at his desk with one hand supporting his chin.

His other hand moved lazily through the air.

Above him, not only his own feather floated weightlessly—

But every feather from the surrounding tables had risen alongside it.

Dozens of white feathers drifted gracefully through the classroom like elegant dancers.

They spun in orderly circles before arranging themselves into flowing patterns high above the students' heads.

The precision was so perfect it resembled a choreographed ballet performance.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Professor Flitwick couldn't stop himself from applauding excitedly.

"Incredible!"

"Absolutely incredible!"

"Ten points to Gryffindor for Mr Anderson's outstanding performance!"

Flitwick genuinely felt envious.

How had Gryffindor managed to recruit such a monster?

Wandless magic alone was already unbelievably rare.

But this child had only recently begun studying proper spellwork, yet he could already manipulate numerous targets simultaneously while maintaining such terrifying precision and control.

This level of magical talent was practically absurd.

Why hadn't the Sorting Hat placed him into Ravenclaw instead?

Surely the hat must have been water-damaged.

If Hogwarts had traditions involving stealing students between Houses, Flitwick genuinely suspected he might have fought Professor McGonagall personally over Logan.

Meanwhile, Hermione stared upward gloomily.

As expected.

Every lesson inevitably transformed into Logan's personal showcase.

Then suddenly—

BOOM!

A violent explosion erupted beside Harry.

Everyone jumped violently in fright.

At Seamus Finnigan's table, black smoke billowed into the air.

His feather had exploded completely.

His face was covered in soot, and his hair now resembled an overcooked bird's nest.

The classroom instantly burst into laughter.

Interesting.

Logan narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.

This wasn't the first time Seamus had accidentally caused explosions.

Earlier, Logan had already begun questioning the fundamental nature of magic itself.

Magic inside this world often behaved in strangely subjective ways.

Emotions could influence spell strength.

Willpower could affect outcomes.

And now Seamus somehow kept turning ordinary spells into explosives.

Could intense emotional impulses unconsciously distort magical structure itself?

Or…

Another possibility appeared inside Logan's mind.

Back in his previous life, he had once read a Harry Potter fanfiction discussing magical bloodlines.

The theory claimed that ancient humanity, while struggling against terrifying magical creatures, had gradually incorporated fragments of powerful bloodlines into wizard genetics through countless generations of experimentation and sacrifice.

In simple terms—

Wizards were technically magical hybrids.

Perhaps especially powerful wizarding families inherited traces of extraordinary creatures deep within their bloodlines.

Dumbledore's overwhelming strength might even partially originate from something similar.

Talent mattered.

Sometimes absurdly so.

Could Seamus also possess some strange inherited magical lineage?

Perhaps…

A bloodline connected to exploding creatures?

Logan almost laughed at the thought.

A Bomb Bird bloodline.

Ridiculous.

Still, after failing to reach any real conclusion, he stopped dwelling on it.

More importantly—

Professor Flitwick now looked at him with eyes practically glowing with admiration.

Perfect.

That meant today's objective had been achieved.

Ding.

Logan had accidentally triggered this chain mission before class began.

That only left one final target.

Herbology Professor Pomona Sprout.
