Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 – The Sea of Stars

Leo slowly opened his eyes and immediately froze.

Everyone around him was staring.

Rose looked particularly concerned.

"Leo, what happened just now?" she asked hurriedly. "You looked really strange."

Draco crossed his arms, trying to appear indifferent, but he couldn't hide his curiosity.

"So what exactly happened?"

Professor Aurora Sinistra approached, unmistakable admiration shining in her emerald eyes.

"My child," she said gently, "what you experienced was extraordinary."

"To enter such a profound state of meditation beneath the stars and naturally resonate with celestial magic is an exceptionally rare gift."

Leo scratched his head awkwardly.

"I'm not really sure what happened, Professor. I just... felt like the stars were calling me."

Professor Sinistra nodded thoughtfully.

"Perhaps it is fate."

"Or perhaps it is a blessing from the night itself."

"In the history of magic, those capable of resonating with the stars often possess remarkable potential."

A flicker of curiosity appeared in Leo's eyes.

"Professor, how do I learn to control it?"

Sinistra considered the question carefully before answering.

"Continue learning."

"Continue exploring."

"And most importantly, continue understanding yourself."

She smiled gently.

"Do not force it. Let the connection deepen naturally."

Leo nodded seriously.

"Thank you, Professor."

Seeing that Draco and Rose both looked ready to start arguing over the subject, Leo quickly changed the topic.

"Alright, enough of that. Let's actually observe the stars before class ends."

He grinned.

"Maybe we'll discover a brand-new constellation."

Almost the moment he finished speaking, a brilliant streak of light crossed the sky.

A meteor blazed across the heavens.

Rose gasped loudly.

"A shooting star!"

She immediately clasped her hands together and squeezed her eyes shut.

"I'm making a wish!"

Nearby Hufflepuffs had already started doing exactly the same thing. Some wished for success in magic, while others loudly wished for endless desserts, roast chicken, and mountains of sweets.

Even several Slytherins secretly joined in.

Draco immediately scoffed.

"Ridiculous."

"Meteors are simply natural astronomical phenomena."

Yet even as he spoke, his hands quietly came together.

"May the Malfoy family continue to prosper," he muttered under his breath.

"And may I become more powerful..."

After a brief hesitation, he added in a much quieter voice,

"And may I continue standing beside Leo."

Leo heard every word.

It took considerable effort not to laugh.

Professor Sinistra soon resumed the lesson.

Beneath the vast canopy of stars, her voice drifted through the cool night air atop the Astronomy Tower.

"Students, direct your attention toward Venus."

She pointed elegantly toward the brilliant planet hanging above the horizon.

"The movement of Venus possesses unique significance in magical astronomy. Variations in its orbit have influenced magical theory for centuries."

Her explanations were vivid and engaging.

Even students who normally struggled to concentrate found themselves listening attentively.

For a time, the only sounds atop the tower were Professor Sinistra's calm voice and the occasional exclamations of wonder from students peering through their telescopes.

Eventually, the professor smiled.

"That concludes tonight's lesson."

"Your assignment is to record your observations regarding the movement of Venus and chart its trajectory."

A chorus of reluctant groans immediately followed.

The students began packing away their telescopes while discussing the lesson excitedly amongst themselves.

As they headed back toward the castle, Leo noticed that both Draco and Rose looked completely exhausted.

He found the sight strangely amusing.

Weren't children supposed to have endless energy?

Completely ignoring the fact that he himself was only eleven years old, Leo looked at them with mild amusement.

"Ugh... Astronomy is exhausting," Rose groaned dramatically.

Draco looked equally miserable.

"It's somehow worse than History of Magic."

Leo chuckled.

"You two look half-dead."

The pair instantly straightened up.

"Hmph! We're not tired at all!"

Leo simply shrugged.

Then he casually flicked his wand.

Both telescopes immediately floated into the air behind him.

"Come on," he said.

"This is easier."

The two of them instantly cheered as though they had been fully revived.

Back in the dormitory, Leo couldn't help smiling when he saw Draco collapse onto his bed and fall asleep almost immediately.

The blond boy didn't even make it under his blanket before losing consciousness.

Meanwhile, an overwhelming wave of exhaustion began creeping over Leo as well.

But there was still something he needed to understand.

What exactly had happened during Astronomy class?

And more importantly...

He still hadn't showered.

"I can't sleep yet..."

Sitting on the edge of his bed, Leo rubbed his eyes and tried to stay awake while replaying the endless sea of stars he had witnessed earlier.

Unfortunately, the exhaustion only deepened.

His thoughts gradually became sluggish.

"No... I still need to shower..."

The image of the starry sky drifted through his mind.

His pupils slowly widened in the darkness before becoming unfocused.

Without realizing it, his body tilted backward onto the bed.

He tried to move his fingers one final time.

Failed.

Then sleep swallowed him completely.

The moment Leo fell asleep, an invisible force suddenly spread throughout the dormitory like a silent breeze.

From the bedside table to the wardrobe, every corner of the room was instantly cleaned spotless.

Dust vanished.

Wrinkles disappeared.

Even scattered belongings quietly returned to their proper places.

Sleeping Draco was not spared.

The invisible force swept across him as well, leaving both his clothes and bed remarkably neat.

When the mysterious power finally faded away, a faint smile appeared on Leo's sleeping face.

Deep within an unknown and mysterious space, a vast ocean-like expanse floated silently in the darkness.

Gold and silver liquid merged together, forming a gigantic mirror suspended within the void.

Then countless points of light appeared.

Like falling meteors, they descended from every direction and continuously poured into the silver sea below.

The tranquil surface shattered instantly.

Towering waves erupted across the endless ocean.

The entire sea churned violently, resembling a collapsing galaxy.

Gigantic tides rose and crashed into one another.

Again and again.

The storm continued for what seemed like an eternity.

Gradually, however, the chaos began to settle.

The waves weakened.

The tides receded.

Silence slowly returned.

Eventually, all that remained was an endless sea of stars.

Countless lights shimmered beneath the surface like a universe contained within an ocean.

Far away, within one distant corner of that cosmic sea, a faint glow quietly flickered.

It resembled a tiny library floating amongst the stars.

Ancient.

Mysterious.

Boundless.

Then a voice suddenly echoed throughout the endless darkness.

"How did this child suddenly become so powerful?"
