Maiya was the one being berated, but several other female contestants from different clans flinched as if they'd been struck themselves.
Milady averted her gaze. Their bickering didn't matter. Only one person was important now: Amelia.
The Prosperity Committee was the gatekeeper to the path of wealth and power. The first thing any new Clan Leader did upon taking office was to get on the Committee's good side. If Amelia insisted that Milady's methods were against the rules and was clearly intent on siding with Luo Geng, then Milady would be completely out of options.
Seeing that Amelia hadn't yet spoken, Milady pressed her advantage, staring directly at her. "Miss Amelia, I'm sure it's not just us contestants who are curious about which five games correspond to the five bookcase numbers from the warm-up round. I imagine the reporters would be very interested to know as well."
