Hey wsg. Yeah I know, doing this after four chapters is kinda backwards but whatever we're here now so let's just go wit it.
So real quick let me actually explain what this is. This webnovel is genuinely just something I wanted to make, no other reason behind it. I've had these ideas sitting in my head for a while and figured why not just actually put them somewhere people can read them. So that's what this is, me finally doing that. And honestly I'm glad I did because the direction I have planned for this story goes lowk kinda crazy, you'll see what I mean eventually.
But ay before you get too attached to expecting updates on a strict schedule let me be upfront, I'm a student. Full on, got homework and tests and due dates and all that. So if I miss a chapter drop please don't come for me I'm serious. There's gonna be weeks where school just wins and I can't get anything out and that's just the reality. I'd rather say that now than leave on you guys with no explanation and have everyone in the comments wondering what happened.
The schedule I'm going for is Monday Wednesday Friday. Three chapters a week. On a good week that's pretty doable and I'm gonna try to hold it down as long as I can. But lowk if that starts falling apart we're switching to Sunday and Thursday instead. Slower yeah but at least it's actually consistent. Two solid chapters a week beats three rushed ones every time and I'm not putting out stuff I'm not happy with just to hit a number. That's not how I want to do this.
And nah this isn't me making excuses before anything even happens. I genuinely plan on being serious about this. I've got a lot mapped out already, a lot of stuff I'm actually hyped to write and for you guys to eventually read. I'm not one of those authors who posts a few chapters and just disappears. That's not the move. Life happens but if I ever gotta step back for a bit I'll say something. You won't just get left with radio silence for two months.
Now real quick let me actually talk about the story itself because I think that matters more than anything else I just said. This isn't something I threw together over a weekend. The characters, the world, where the plot is going, I've been sitting on these ideas for a minute and there's actual thought behind all of it. Yeah the early chapters might be a little rough, I'm still finding my footing and figuring out exactly how I want to write this thing. But it gets better. I'm genuinely improving every single chapter I write and if you stick around long enough you'll see that yourself.
The themes and ideas I'm working with are also stuff I actually care about. It's not just random events happening one after another, there's a point to all of it. The characters have real motivations and the world has history behind it that'll start making sense the deeper we get into the story. I know early chapters don't always show that fully but trust that it's there and it's building toward something.
One thing I also want to say, I'm not trying to write something perfect. I'm trying to write something that actually hits the way I want it to. If a chapter comes out and something feels off or a scene doesn't land leave it in the comments. Tell me what's working, what isn't, what you're curious about, what you think is gonna happen. I actually read all of it. Knowing people are genuinely engaged with the story makes me want to keep going more than anything else and sometimes a comment will make me look at my own writing completely differently.
And don't be scared to be critical either. I'm not gonna take it personal if you tell me something wasn't it. I'd rather hear honest feedback and actually get better than just think everything is fine when it isn't. Just be normal about it that's all I ask.
