[* 3rd person POV *]
Robin hovered in her frozen state, The world standing still as if waiting for her decision as she read through the class options with sharp focus.
After careful consideration, She eventually landed on the class that had the most potential for the future.
The other classes focused on just a single aspect which meant that even after training with the class to the maximum, She would only be able to reach the peak of that particular aspect.
That could still make her quite decently powerful however the third class was a complete new source of power and could also work perfectly with her fruit.
"I choose Rune Master – Architect of Flesh and Sigils."
[* Class Selected: Rune Master. *]
[* Knowledge Transfer Initiated. *]
As soon as the message appeared in front of her eyes, She suddenly felt a small spark of soothing pain going through her head.
A torrent of ancient, arcane information flooded directly into her brain. Runes, sigils, living arrays, flesh modification principles, and ritualistic power amplification.
Centuries of forbidden knowledge assimilated in seconds. Her body glowed faintly as new circuits of power etched themselves beneath her skin, invisible but ready.
Time resumed.
Right then Moria, who had been knocked unconscious inside the defeated Oars, suddenly woke with a feral scream.
In pure desperation, he activated his ultimate technique, absorbing every single shadow on Thriller Bark over a thousand of them.
His body swelled grotesquely, mutating into a towering, berserk abomination of writhing darkness and raw muscle. Eyes glowing with madness.
In mere moments he had transformed from a small giant that had been piloting the real giant Oar's... To another monster that was even larger than Oar's himself.
The monster roared, shaking the entire island with the shockwaves of his voice.
"GEEEEEEH!!! I WON'T LOSE TO YOU BRATS!!!"
The crew, already exhausted from previous battles, could barely stand. Luffy, drained after his Nightmare form faded, collapsed to one knee.
The sun was rising on the horizon. Without their shadows, they would all perish when daylight fully struck.
Robin meanwhile had a small confident smirk on her face as stepped forward calmly, her elegant purple dress fluttering in the wind.
The knowledge of the Rune Master class had fully integrated into her mind. ancient sigils, living arrays, and the art of flesh inscription now felt as natural as breathing.
Her laid back attitude and confident nature seemed to form an aura around her that made everyone notice her.
For the first time in a while, People weren't just looking at her curvy body... They were looking at her.
"Allow me to handle this"
She said loudly, Her voice putting her tired crewmates at ease as even though the situation seemed disadvantageous to Robin they couldn't help but believe in her.
Moria's berserk form charged with terrifying speed, swinging a colossal shadow fist that contained more power than oar's entire body.
Robin however seemed unaffected as she raised one hand and immediately a giant hand sprouted from the ground and stood in front of the incoming fist.
With a flick of her wrist she inscribed a single rune in the air with graceful precision
Rune of Reflection: Mirror of Eternity.
The attack slammed into the hand,The sound of contact loud enough to cause tremors on the ground.
Every spectator couldn't help but wince as they closed their eyes thinking Robin's giant hand would be completely crushed...
However, As soon as the shadow fist came in contact... It bounced right back with double the force, smashing into the monster's own chest.
The unexpected force caught him off gaurd as his mouth suddenly opened and hundreds of shadows escaped right then before he barely closed his mouth and stopped any more from escaping.
"You… what kind of power is this?!"
he screamed in agony as his gaze turned even more hateful.
Robin didn't bother to waste any words, Instead she dashed forward with unnatural speed as she jumped forward, The power of her jump was enough to keep her floating right at the level of Moria's head for a few second as the two seemed to be engaged in a standoff.
It might have been due to seeing the woman that he had just humiliated a few moments ago...
That this standoff, Which made it seem like the two sides were equal... Brushed his ego in the wrong way as he suddenly lashed out uncontrollably.
Several tendrils of pure darkness suddenly sprouted out from his massive shadow as they all surrounded the floating Robin from all direction and aimed to pierce through her.
Nami who was watching from the ground felt her stomach churn with worry...
"Robin watch out!!!!"
She yelled out but Robin looked at the situation like it was a piece or cake, She just lightly waved her hand in a circle.
Rune of Severance: Blade of Dawn.
A shimmering arc of light sliced through the air, Ripping all of the tendrils that had been moving towards her into shreds as for the first time during this entire arc...
Moria felt fear...
No matter how hard he tried, No matter what kind of attacks he used, No matter how many times he changed his tactics and tried new things...
In the end all of them were being turned into nothingness by the woman in front of him...
Even though his ego and pride didn't want to admit it... He couldn't exactly run away from the truth as he finally realised... It wasn't her that was ever outmatched...
'So...all this time...she was the one that was holding back...'
Moria finally had the grave realisation that changed everything about this battle.
Hundreds of stolen shadows exploded outward like dark fireworks from Moria's giant body. Truth be told he wasn't one of the seven warlords for nothing, Although he had enormous strength... He also knew exactly when to retreat.
His giant berserk form was quite powerful, But it also held him in place and allowed barely any movements.
As the released shadows returned back to their rightful owners. The crew felt strength returning to their bodies as their shadows rejoined them.
"You… you're just one woman!"
Moria yelled with frustration, Although his words showed anger and hatred... His body was doing the exact as he had already turned away and was rushing away from the scene trying to escape from the monstrous woman.
But, Robin wasn't going to allow that~ She leapt again higher than before as wings appeared on her back allowing her to easily catch up to the running giant.
The poor victim had no idea as he looked back and saw nothing as he thought he really had escaped.
Not realising she was right above him.
Rune of Impact: Titan's Judgment.
She landed her final attack, A heavy kick right on Moria's back as it crushed his stomach and forced all of the remaining shadows out of his body.
The impact alone sent shockwaves across the battlefield, cracking the ground for hundreds of meters.
And in the middle of the crater that had formed was Moria in his original form, All of the shadows that had been absorbed by him had been forcefully removed and returned to their original owners.
Finally the entire island had been freed from his tyrany as right on time, Sunlight spread throughout the island reaching all of the inhabitants as for the first time they could bask in it without the fear of death.
Robin stood tall among the ruins, runes fading from her skin A massive content smile on her face as the sunlight concentrated on her naturally almost giving her the natural spotlight.
The battlefield fell silent except for the distant sounds of the rising sun and the crew slowly recovering.
"Robin… what was that? Those glowing symbols… your power…"
Nami asked curiously as she had already rushed over to Robin, Who just looked back at her in a relaxed way...
Luckily she had already prepared an excuse to justify her new abilities...
"I think the chaotic atmosphere allowed me to truly awaken the true nature of my fruit~"
She said as the wind flicked her hair up revealing her beautiful face as the crew couldn't help but look at her in a different light.
Robin couldn't help but enjoy the attention as pride filled her chest, Her eyes roaming around the island as she looked at the other inhabitants of the island also looking at her with respect and gratefulness.
It filled her with a warm feeling that she quite enjoyed...
Of course that all disappeared the moment the system screen appeared in front of her eyes...
'Hehe'
