The village wasn't very big, so if they really had to drop a 500-kilogram Laser-Guided Bomb, one issue that had to be considered was avoiding collateral damage.
If the Laser-Guided Bomb fell on the Intelligence Agency Action Team, there would no longer be any point in trying to save them. There wouldn't even be a need to collect the bodies, as a 500-kilogram bomb dropping on a civilian house with no proper protection would leave nothing behind but a large crater.
Furthermore, it wouldn't do if the bomb dropped too close to the action team either.
