Chapter 1088 - Chapter One Thousand and Seventy-One: Despair

Casualty evacuation takes up quite a bit of space, but transporting the bodies of the dead soldiers is much more space-efficient because the corpses can be stacked.

There are no helicopters specifically for transporting wounded soldiers or dead bodies; those that do are the same helicopters that brought in the troops, so the capacity is still very tight.

The living always take priority over the dead; in order to leave enough capacity for the survivors, the bodies of the fallen could only be piled up layer by layer.

Watching the bodies being loaded onto the helicopters, Gao Yang didn't quite know how to feel. There was a sense of relief for having survived another bitter battle, some fear about whether his own time would come, and there was also a not very strong feeling of sorrow.

In war, how could there be no casualties? Once you've chosen this path, nobody can complain about anything; it's pointless and useless.
