Preparation simply meant a change of clothes.
By the time Gao Yang returned to the airport, his orderly was already waiting for him.
Hasan looked even more excited than Gao Yang. As soon as Gao Yang entered the office, Hasan rushed up to him with a trembling voice, and after saluting Gao Yang, he exclaimed, "General, you're back. Your dress uniform is prepared. Please put it on."
Another promotion.
Gao Yang smiled at Hasan and said, "General?"
Pointing to a stack of clothes on the desk, Hasan excitedly said, "Yes, General! The celebration and the conferment ceremony will take place at eleven o'clock. You will be formally granted the rank of Brigadier General. Your general's dress uniform has just arrived, please try it on."
Gao Yang sat down in the chair, touched the neatly folded dress uniform, then reached out to pick up the dress cap placed on top of it.
Though it was an honorary rank and not for active service, the title of General still made Gao Yang quite emotional.
