The odds of having twins is both high and low at a solid 1 in 250. At the same time, mothers may have a gene that increases the odds of fraternal twins (twins that don't look identical and are basically normal siblings).
Identical twin odds however aren't manipulated by genetics which makes experimenting much more tedious.
