Humans are just a very fragile and squishy race. They basically need perfect conditions to survive and the slightest of temperature changes could kill them. After a bit of testing, it's been observed that humans are unable to survive long periods of time at temperatures out the range of 273.15 and 315.45 Kelvin.
Honestly, that's just pathetic, but it's also what makes them endearing.
