Chapter 45—Rude Woman (1)
Vera and Xu Li continued their shopping after their fun activity. Noticing an attractive boutique, Vera wanted to see if she could purchase some clothes for her to use when she starts her classes.
With Xu Li in tow, she entered the store and was captivated by the clothes displayed on the rack. This store satisfies her taste in clothing. From the outside, it looks to be simple and has a classic vibe to it; however, as soon as you enter, the bright color of the wall, combined with the classy display of the high quality of apparel, makes it breathtaking.
The staff greeted her, and Vera just nodded. They leave her alone to choose her clothes, and she directly goes to the jeans section. Looking around, she became aware that the dresses here are excellent quality. She became excited and picked up many clothes to try.
Xu Li, on the other hand, is waiting for his mother on the sofa provided by the store. He watches his mother's multiple expressions as she has trouble choosing her items. He makes a decision to help his mom carry her stuff since she looks like she would break her arm carrying loads of clothing.
A sudden tug on her clothes took Vera's attention. She turns her head and smiles with appreciation when Xu Li removes the cloth from her hand and puts it in the basket. With a broad smile, she planted a kiss on the boy's head. Xu Li just followed his mother silently.
The store staff was watching the mother and son, and they were amazed by seeing the boy's caring action toward his mother. The woman looked so happy and didn't care how many clothes she stacked up that the staff are getting worried about her ability to pay.
They don't want to judge, but the woman doesn't look to be wealthy enough to pay for their clothes. Although the store seems simple outside, the prices of their apparel are considered very expensive since most of their product is a limited edition designed by Country X's famous designer. That is why the majority of their customers are wealthy.
Although troubled, they didn't voice their concern; instead, in a pleasant manner, they approached the mother and son and asked if she would want to try the clothes.
Vera agreed readily and went straight to the fitting room. Xu Li still followed his mother behind.

Two hours passed by, and Vera finally finished trying on all the clothes she wanted to buy. When she moved to the counter to pay for her purchases, she noticed a woman arguing with the staff.
"Miss Lu, our apologies, but the clothes you want don't have your size." The staff is trying to explain to the customer.
"What do you mean? I had already reserved it yesterday. I informed your manager yesterday. Why don't you ask him to come here? He will verify my words." Lu Mina insisted. She will never accept the staff apology, she thought.
Although she had visited the store yesterday, she exceeded her credit limit and could not pay for the clothes. So, she had told the manager that she would come back today.
However, the clothes she wants are already gone when she arrives. How could that be? She previously set sight on it!
Vera ignored the ruckus happening on her back and proceeded to pay for her items when a slender hand suddenly took the clothes she was holding.
"Miss, these are my clothes." Lu Mina rudely snatches the clothes in Vera's hand.
Unprepared by the quick movement, Vera was not able to hold the clothes tightly and was snatched by the woman easily. Annoyed by the woman's rude behavior, she turned and faced Lu Mina, who was stirring up problems in the store and was trying to implicate her.
"What clothes are you talking about?" Vera moves swiftly and grabs the clothes. She raises her hand that is holding the material while she stares directly in Lu Mina's eyes.
"It's mine," she taunted with a deadly smirk on her face.
The two women watch each other, and the staff are nervous with the tension between the two. They could not wait for their manager to come.
