Chapter 56—Hidden Gems City
A few days later, a woman is lazily seated on the sofa with the newest iPad in hand.
Vera is excited to try the new item she purchased online. She saw Xu Li using the square-looking device once and was intrigued by it. When she learned about its usage, she didn't hesitate to buy one for herself.
She continues browsing for the best house for his grandparents to use. In two days, he will move out of the hospital, and she wants her family to relocate to a better place.
Not wanting to embarrass her uncle, she made sure to discuss her desire beforehand. It had taken her time to convince him since he didn't want to take advantage of her. However, considering his father's health, Uncle Lu agreed with a promise to pay her back.
Vera didn't care as long as he agreed, since their current living condition is not appropriate for her father to recover.
After a few hours of surfing the real estate website, Vera found the best house for the family to settle in.
The place is located in an expensive village, and the security is tight. Decided about the house, she called her uncle and arranged to visit the area together.
She closes her iPad and informs Xu Li to prepare. The boy left excitedly to change.

After picking up her uncle, she introduced Xu Li to the man.
Xu Li rushes to hug him, not caring about his smelly clothes.
Although stunned by the unexpected introduction, Uncle Lu pulled himself together and bent down to accept his nephew's embrace.
The boy is very handsome at a young age! He can't help but also notice the air he carries. He already deduced that Vera's partner must be wealthy based on his niece's story. However, seeing his nephew in person, he suspected that there could be more to her story. Anyway, he trusts her and doesn't want to pry more.
Not wanting to waste more time, the three entered the car and proceeded to their destination.

In the southern part of Country X, just a few minutes from Jia Garden, is a village for wealthy families called Hidden Gems City. A citizen in Country X is aware of the prosperous reputation of the place.
Uncle Lu couldn't contain his nervous expression after realizing that the house his niece wanted to buy is in Hidden Gem City. He promised his niece that he would return the money by buying them a new home; however, looking at the direction they are heading in, he mentally calculated the years he has to work to repay his debt.
Xu Li observed his granduncle's face and decided to calm him. "Granduncle, don't worry, this place is very lovely, and the houses are cheaper. You will love it here." He patted the man's hand for comfort, but his words made Uncle Lu even more uneasy.
Besides, after hearing that the place is cheaper, his mind froze. How rich is Vera's partner for his nephew to think that the wealthiest village in Country X is affordable?
The car stopped at a gated two-story house. The three went down and were greeted by a man who Vera suspected was the agent she had spoken with today.
"You must be Miss Jia? My name is Xian Mi, and I am the real estate agent hired by the family to sell this place." He politely introduces himself. They shake hands and move inside the house.
Vera is impressed by the exquisite decoration of the place. The open space gave more room for the residents. Also, the front garden and the large backyard gave additional appeal. Since the seller is in a rush to sell the house, pieces of furniture are included upon purchase. Roaming around the area, Vera is satisfied with the place. However, Uncle Lu, on the other hand, is worried about the price but could not voice his opinion.
"I like this place. We will buy it. Please prepare the necessary documentation as soon as possible. We will move in two days." Vera informs the agent. She handed over the calling card Xu Long Wei gave her this morning. He said that the person could do the process instead of her.
The agent is pleased, and just like that, the house was sold to Vera.

In the car, Uncle Lu couldn't help but voice his concern. "Jia, I am worried I can't pay back the amount of the price based on my current income."
Vera looks at him intently while trying to consider his words. "Uncle, I actually want to recommend you for a job position." She passed him a calling card.
"My friend needed a marketing manager, and he has asked for my opinion. I recommended you for the job. He is happy to meet you anytime for an interview. Would you consider applying? Once your job changes, I believe that paying me back wouldn't be a problem."
Uncle Lu is shocked but glad that his niece thinks about him. It has been a while since he worked in a proper company, but if he has the chance, he would love to go back. "Yes, I would like to. Which company is it?" He asked.
"Xu Holdings," Jia casually replied.
"What! Xu Holdings? Do you have a friend in that company?" He could not believe what he was hearing. Xu Holding is considered the most influential company in Country X!
"Yes, don't worry, Uncle. I know you have your concerns, but trust me on this." Vera encourages.
After some time of contemplation, Uncle Lu agrees. He needs to hurry home and prepare for his interview. After all, he needs to give a face to his niece, who found him the job.
