Chapter 8 - BNHA #1 PT.3

(morally grey! Izuku)

(mature!/smart! Shigaraki)

Izuku's last year of middle school was about to begin. Although it was only the first day, for some reason Izuku felt quite nervous.

During this day Izuku acted very much like his old self, becoming flustered at every little thing.

When he saw Kacchan staring at him from the row in front of him, Izuku blushed and kept his head faced towards his desk as he began to mutter things nonstop.

He didn't even need to act like his old self, he easily slipped into it.

The teacher then handed out a sheet of paper to everyone asking them to write down the schools they'd like to apply for later in the year. Izuku had instantly written down U.A, but he still didn't know what course he was going to apply for yet.

He didn't notice Katsuki glancing at his sheet when the teacher collected it, nor the small smile that graced the blonde's face.

Izuku spent the next few weeks thinking which course he'd like to apply for and did research on each department.

U.A was popular for all of its courses, though the most popular one was definitely the hero course as the school was All Might's alma mater and ranked #1.

After doing a ton of research, Izuku found himself leaning towards the Support course, however, as he was still incredibly unsure he was also thinking about the General Education course.

Izuku felt like he was probably the strongest Quirkless kid to date.

But with everyone's encouragement to go to U.A, he deduced that there was still a lot of things that he didn't know and it would do him some good to see things in a new way.

Honestly, if he had to compare his skills to anything, he would use those mangas from Earth's old times that he once read about.

Thinking about those mangas, Izuku realised he really did have many similarities; he had super strength or durability like that Saitama guy.

His stealth mode was almost like Kuroko's invisibility/misdirection techniques.

His speed, endurance, reflexes, stamina and agility were on par with that tiny orange-haired kid, Shouyo.

His skills with weapons were obviously as good as Stain's, however both had improved in that skillset and Izuku would now compare it to that one green-haired swordsman he saw, Zoro – but with daggers.

One thing that all these characters seemed to have in common, Izuku abruptly noticed with a start, was that they weren't very aware of their surroundings, themselves, or their society.

This made Izuku think harder about himself, and he decided that he'll definitely be going to U.A.

However was the Hero course really going to show him a different perspective, or will he see it better from a different course?

Remembering all of these old stories made Izuku slightly crave to read some again, so he searched everywhere he could and managed to get a few copies of ones he hadn't yet seen or read.

He'd found a copy of one called "Jujutsu Kaisen," where he was really interested in the main character due to the fact that he could relate to having an abnormally strong physique.

He wanted to steal some of his fighting techniques, although it seemed like it was mostly just throwing and being thrown into walls half the time.

Another one he'd found, a bit older, was "OHSHC," which he completely ignored except for the parts that included martial arts. Those were really interesting, and he found a lot more mangas on the topic, not to mention there was still a lot of stuff about it online.

Thereafter, Izuku's last year of middle school was spent learning different types of martial arts and fighting techniques that were no longer common as he hoped they would give him the upper hand in any fights he might end up in.

He didn't completely master all the types of martial arts that he was interested in, however he believes he was decent enough in them to use without any problems.

And so, Izuku's skillset seemed to have grown just a bit longer once again.

_______

Izuku had found a large batch of buildings across the street where he lived which seemed to have been recently cleared out due to the landlord losing some of them (a villain attack had apparently occurred there while he was in school and burnt down the buildings).

When he'd brought it up to AFO and Tomura later, they both agreed for the new base to be there.

Kurogiri had warped AFO there after Izuku handed him the coordinates, and Izuku watched from his bedroom window as AFO used a Quirk to mould half the buildings into an extended bar with two floors for rooms.

On the top floor was Izuku, Dabi, Toga, Kurogiri and Tomura's bedrooms.

Izuku had the biggest room as several members tended to join him in the middle of the night or crash in like Stain sometimes.

On the middle floor was where Twice, Mr Compress and the rest of the main members of the organisation lived in shared rooms.

The bottom floor was the actual bar, decorated just like their previous one, and beneath that was a basement that included a gym and training area.

AFO didn't join them, he moved to Kamino Ward instead and used the extra buildings around him for his projects.

Once the matter of the new hideout was sorted Izuku visited the moment he got a chance, making sure nobody was following or watching him as he hid close to the shadows.

Kurogiri had made a portal for him when he entered so he could go straight to AFO, who he knew was waiting for his answer.

_______

"...I appreciate the offer, but my answer hasn't changed. I don't need a Quirk to get into U.A," Izuku said with a soft smile, which grew larger when he heard All For One's booming laughter.

"Ah, I expected this but I'm still surprised nonetheless. I understand, child. I won't push any further, however I will remind you this last time that the offer will always be there for you, alright?" AFO muttered, slowly patting Izuku's hands which he clasped in his own.

Izuku nodded and they spent the next ten minutes talking about nothing and everything, mainly focusing on Izuku's training or the progression of the League.

AFO mentioned that he still had hope for Izuku to become a villain or better yet, join the League, however Izuku confidently refused no matter how terrified he was at the intimidating aura released from the man.

After that short fiasco, they quickly relaxed and came back to the topic of Quirks.

"I know you refused, and I've said I won't push further, however shall we not at least have the discussion for which Quirks you would like if you ever took up the chance?" AFO said, a hint of desperation lacing his tone.

It was extremely hard to detect, and Izuku barely caught a glimpse of it himself, however when he did he couldn't help but frown.

"I don't have much time left, you see..."

Hearing those words, Izuku's frown deepened.

He naturally knew all about AFO's history and his plans for the future when they met in person after his fight with Stain.

It's the reason why Izuku feels so uncomfortable in the man's presence at times despite all the time they've spent talking through the screen or playing chess together (before he knew).

Although there are many moments where he disagreed with the man's actions or ambitions, ultimately he thinks that AFO was just pitiful and he wanted to be there to make the man feel more at peace in his remaining numbered days.

Even if he's such a cruel villain, Izuku still believed that he should at least reach out his hand to help those that nobody else would.

With a sigh, he relented.

"For your peace of mind, we can have this conversation now."

He smiled wryly at the sly grin that answered him, shaking his head fondly.

"Five."

AFO stared in surprise and confusion at the sudden number that was announced.

"Five?" he asked again, waiting for confirmation.

At Izuku's nod, AFO felt his curiosity flicker as his interest piqued. "Why five?"

"Well, for one, the number symbolises loyalty and honour. Or at least it used to. That's one reason I'd pick five, as a reminder that I'd only use my new powers to protect and serve, maybe even to destroy, but never to harm," Izuku mumbled, suddenly feeling a bit embarrassed.

At AFO's serious contemplation, however, he felt more confident in himself and continued speaking.

"Five is also at the base of a human – that might sound odd, but I see it as a way to remind myself of my humanity. Five fingers, toes, senses, etc. Whether I become a villain or a hero in the future, maybe both or even neither, I don't want to ever lose myself. The Quirk you'd give me will be a representation, a reminder of my roots and where I originally came from. That I was once Quirkless."

Hearing Izuku's reasons, AFO felt slightly affected himself and started thinking about all of his regrets, mistakes, and misdoings.

Feeling like he might end up wavering in his resolve, AFO quickly stopped Izuku before he started truly rambling and nodded his head, showing that he understood and respected what Izuku had chosen.

"Then... what types?"

With that question, Izuku lightly sucked in a breath.

He then looked at AFO in the eye before replying.

"I already know exactly what I'd ask for, and I'm sure it won't change even ten or fifty years from now. But I don't want to think about this any longer than I have to, so with all due respect, I'll write it all down and then leave. Kurogiri-san asked me to cook tonight, after all!"

Holding back a chuckle, AFO accepted Izuku's pathetic excuses and let the boy go after he wrote down everything he could possibly want.

The boy soon left through the warp gate, his signature smile bringing slight warmth to the frozen heart of All For One.

"Thanks to your suggestions and our previous experiments over the years, we've been able to see the extents to which my Quirk can be used. The ability to merge several Quirks into one, either due to compatibility or by using something as a mediator, was a fascinating find and it was due to your analysing skills that we were able to upgrade some Quirks by using others," AFO spoke aloud to himself, thinking back to how Izuku spent a whole month analysing his Quirk.

Looking down at the piece of paper in his hand, he quirked a brow in amusement. 'Lightning Bolt, Void, Glitch, Shadow and Pocket' were written at the top.

It seems the boy knew even the names of the Quirks AFO had, although he doubted he knew all of them considering how many resided in his body.

He probably just noted the ones that interested him, although AFO was interested in learning how exactly Izuku learnt the names of them.

Lightning Bolt was the ability to take in any form of energy, such as electricity or light, and use it to charge up your attacks which can range from giving you physical buffs to shooting lasers to creating barriers. It can also be used for simple acts like charging phones.

Void was the ability to possess another person (including the use of their Quirk) for a limited amount of time without having them remember what happens. They will essentially become a clueless puppet or loyal soldier.

Glitch was the ability to manipulate any Quirk and thus the Quirk user, working them against each other. For instance, if an ice Quirk was shot towards you, you could manipulate the structure of the ice to turn it into water, or even steam. You could even make it the complete opposite, taking apart the particles and literally turning ice into gas or make fire.

Shadow was the ability to blend into and control the shadows around you, making you invisible and impervious to attacks whilst hiding in them. You can also make shadow puppets and control them, gain information through the shadows, and kill a person by ripping their shadow away from them.

Pocket was the ability to create a pocket dimension and place objects, including living things, inside. Objects inside the pocket dimension will remain in the same state as when you put them in. It will keep food warm, your drinks cool, and is useful for hiding bodies if you want to hide them somewhere later. It has an unlimited expanse of space, so you could even build a town and live in there if you wanted to, however the user must return to the real world every ten days as a rule.

It seems like Izuku knew what else AFO would've asked and included it on the paper already: 'Rings. I'd ask for indestructable rings, with that evolved enhancer Quirk you stole that can sense intent and emit the Quirks wanted.'

AFO couldn't help but twitch his lips in shock, wondering how Izuku knew about that Quirk.

He smirked and made rings from silver with retractable chains form around a clay model of Izuku's hand. Then he used his own Quirk to slowly push each of Izuku's Quirks into the rings one by one.

On the right index finger the ring glowed white (Void), the middle finger glowed red (Glitch), and the ring finger glowed black (Shadow).

The ring on the left index finger glowed bronze (Pocket) and the middle finger glowed gold (Lightning Bolt).

_______

Izuku's last year of middle school was almost over now. It shocked him that time had gone by so fast. He felt like he'd only just taken his first step.

Everything was going good right now.

Kacchan no longer bullied him, instead Izuku was left alone by his classmates most of the time.

The suicide notes and baiting insults were practically non-existent, however the flowers on his desk didn't stop coming.

He could ignore that, though.

The L.O.V. was growing with each month that passed. They had several goons already; Izuku laughed when he remembered how Tomura and Stain bonded over their inherent dislike of stupid low-level mobs.

Stain hasn't visited the hideout recently, but he'd left a 'good luck with exams' note on Izuku's beside table at some point. The man was busy hopping around in Tokyo right now.

Dabi and Toga had seemingly begun to regress into their previous selves, therefore being moody and bloodthirsty and pretty much the overall annoying teenagers that they are.

Izuku supposed he'd have to visit them soon so that they don't feel too lonely, he knows they just missed him.

The thought made him smile.

A 'ding!' made Izuku pause. He took out his phone and saw the message on the screen.

His mother had asked him to get some stuff from the convenience store on the way home.

Sending a quick reply back, he finished packing his schoolbooks and walked out of the school.

He decided to take a short cut through the tunnel since he didn't want his mother to worry about him taking too long.

A low hissing sound jolted Izuku into hiding his presence. He scanned the dark tunnel with vigilance beyond that of an average middle schooler.

Having real life experience, "out on the field" so to say, Izuku kept his guard up and stayed alert as he walked through the tunnel with barely audible footsteps.

The sound got louder and seemed to be coming from beneath him.

With a sudden dash, Izuku managed to avoid the metal lid to the sewer being slammed into him, and easily grabbed it before it hit the ceiling.

He looked up to see a big, green, gloopy... thing. 'A villain?' he wondered. If so, it was rather ugly.

"A medium-sized invisibility cloak..." the monster whispered.

Then it pounced at Izuku.

Izuku jumped back to avoid the attack and looked at it with a mixture of curiosity, disgust and boredom. This monster was beneath even the lowest of thugs that Izuku had dealt with.

With a sigh, the boy took a long stride before jumping off the wall of the tunnel.

He spun around and flung his backpack at the monster's large and vulnerable eyes before jerking to the left to escape a flailing... limb?

Honestly, the villain was just full of slime so Izuku couldn't exactly tell whether it had arms or not.

When the villain roared in anger due to the pain in its eyes, Izuku grabbed an explosive grenade from his bag and chucked it into the monster's mouth.

He also grabbed a dagger and threw it into one of the monster's eyes, leaving it hurt, in pain, and about to explode.

He took cover to the side of the tunnel, holding the metal lid from before in front of him like a shield to cover himself from the inevitable explosion.

Moments later, he heard the grenade go off and a ringing sound entered his ears.

He also noticed the walls of the tunnel crumbling as dust fell from the ceiling.

Quickly, Izuku didn't bother to check whether the villain survived or not and just escaped from the collapsing tunnel.

Not a second after he lunged to the ground just outside the tunnel did the structure finally give out.

He heard a coarse wailing from inside, then silence.

Just then, a quieter hissing sound came from his left.

He turned his head and saw a trickle of the slimy substance of the villain squirming along the ground.

With that, Izuku knew the villain was destroyed in the tunnel and this little part was it's last ditch effort at survival.

He looked around for something to use to destroy it but suddenly felt a huge current of wind rushing into him. He crouched down and held onto his bag with his eyes closed until it stopped.

Opening his eyes when he felt another presence, Izuku was shocked to see the number one hero, All Might, standing before him.

"Never fear, for I AM HERE!" the hero proclaimed.

'It's a little late for that,' Izuku thought to himself sarcastically.

_______

He doesn't really remember what happened after seeing All Might. He thinks he asked the hero a question, but other than that it was all just a blur.

Perhaps there was still that fanboy residing within him, and he was still in shock over meeting his old idol? It was likely.

Izuku remembered giving an excuse about the defeated villain, something about the tunnel being old and collapsing which allowed him to escape.

He also remembered momentarily thinking about grabbing onto the hero when he was about to leave, but quickly threw away the stupid thought and directly asking his question. Whatever it was.

Other than that, nothing. It wasn't a big deal though, so Izuku hurriedly made his way to the convenience store, grabbed what he needed, and made his way back home.

After he got home, he made and ate dinner with his mom before heading off to bed.

Then he recalled the events of the day.

It was exactly what he'd thought of earlier, except they were clearer now.

All Might was surprised about how the villain was defeated before he got there, but didn't find anything suspicious. He'd contained the slimy villain in a plastic bottle and attached it to himself.

He also paused to answer Izuku's question.

He now remembered it being "can a Quirkless kid become a hero like you?" And then holding his breath.

With the response "you have to be realistic," Izuku remembered being dazed after that.

Ah, so that's what happened...

Perhaps he was angry? Sad? Annoyed? Izuku couldn't really tell, he knew it was a long shot but he thought that the number one hero might be different.

At least, Izuku doesn't think he's feeling all that much towards the man.

Oh well. What's past is past. He couldn't say or do anything now, not that he wanted to.

Izuku smiled to himself.

He wasn't just a hero fanboy anymore, he was a Quirk analyst and a damn good fighter.

No longer would he demean himself or allow others' thoughts to hold him back.

He truly felt that this meeting with All Might, and his reaction to it right now, shows that he's grown.

With that, Izuku fell asleep thinking about Tomura foaming at the mouth when he later tells him about his meeting with All Might, and the doting that the other members will inevitably spring upon him due to being overly protective.

He slept well that night.

_______

When Izuku visited the hideout the next day after school, he told the members of the L.O.V about his sudden meeting with All Might.

As expected, they reacted just as he thought they would.

Tomura was practically vibrating with glee as he asked Izuku everything he knew about the man.

Izuku pointed out that he didn't see or notice anything other than what he'd already written in his oldest notebook.

Tomura visibly deflated at that news, having forgotten that Izuku's notes on All Might were already top notch and had given them a lot of information.

Not to mention his Sensei was All Might's personal enemy, thereafter Tomura calmed down and asked Izuku if he was alright.

The boy happily explained his fight with the dumb villain that attempted to possess him, and the L.O.V laughed at the thought.

Izuku could handle himself well and they were proud that he had also gotten away with fibbing to the number one hero.

It left a good mood over them.

Thus, Toga had stolen a bunch of desserts from the closest café and they had a good evening together.

Later, when Izuku had finished his homework and come down for dinner, Inko had looked at her son and asked him the question that had been on his mind for quite a while.

"Izuku, honey... do you know what you want to do after finishing school?"

Izuku looked up at her words and smiled kindly. "Yes, I'm going to try getting into U.A."

Inko's eyes widened in surprise.

She thought her son had given up on being a hero, but it wasn't so..?

A feeling of relief swept throughout her body. "Are you going for the Hero Course?"

Izuku shook his head. He knew exactly what his mother was thinking.

"Okaa-san, you don't need to worry about me. I know it's been hard for you because I'm Quirkless, but I want you to know that no matter what happens, I'm grateful to have been born to you. Even if I'm Quirkless. There's a lot of things I can and can't do, but I'm stronger now, I can defend myself at the very least."

Inko smiled. She felt reassured that Izuku would be safe after all now, hearing his words.

"I'm going to apply for the Hero Course, but whether I get in or not, I won't be going in. Mostly, I'm just really interested in what the entrance exam could be," Izuku laughed.

"I'm going to apply for the Support and General Education Courses too, and after seeing how each department works, I'll pick whichever one suits me the best."

He got up and put his empty dishes in the sink before returning to his mother's side.

Inko was smiling now, brighter than she'd been the past few years. It seems her worrying about Izuku's safety and concerns for his status as Quirkless were unnecessary.

Her baby boy was growing up and he was stronger now, mentally and physically.

Although she'll always worry about him, because that's what mothers do, she accepted his words and felt reassured that Izuku would be happy whatever he does now.

Whether he becomes a hero or something else, Inko decided she'll support him no matter what.

That night, Izuku went to sleep thinking about what he'd said to his mother. He had put a lot of thought into it but he hadn't exactly decided what course he'd go into.

His claims of applying for three courses and picking one after the exams weren't planned, they were rather sudden, but he's come to like the idea.

He probably just needed someone to ask him that question straightforwardly.

Either way, now he knew what his next steps would be so he relaxed and drifted into the realm of sleep.

A few hours after he fell asleep, Izuku's peaceful expression scrunched up as a strange feeling welled up within him.

With a gasp he sat up and looked around himself frantically. His hand gripped the dagger underneath his pillow tightly.

After he made sure nobody was in the room with him, Izuku fell back into his bed. His tense shoulders relaxed.

But then he felt a sudden chill creeping up his spine.

He looked down at himself and gaped. There were five silver rings chained to his fingers.

He knew what this was.

His breathing quickened as he tried to pull the rings off his fingers. To his dismay, it didn't work.

All For One... the man had forcibly given him a Quirk. And not just one, it was all five of them!

Izuku couldn't help the tears that trickled down his cheeks at the thought.

He didn't want this. He was already strong.

He was going to prove society wrong about Quirkless people, but now here he was, no longer Quirkless but instead Quirked!

With a menacing glare, Izuku snuck out of his room through the window and made his way to the hideout. Once there, he scrambled into Kurogiri's room and woke the villain up.

After making a portal, Izuku had second thoughts about going there alone. The man had just attacked him in his sleep, after all.

With that thought, Izuku dragged the villain in with him. When they emerged from the other side, Izuku glowered darkly at the man sitting calmly in his seat.

"Ah, Izuku. To what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting tonight?" AFO muttered, sipping some– was that tea? Izuku grumbled.

"Why did you give me the Quirks? I told you I didn't need it. I can get into U.A without them!"

AFO smiled.

It wasn't kind, nor was it evil.

It was just a simple, sincere smile.

"Child, I have already explained to you. Quirked or Quirkless, it won't change you. You are Midoriya Izuku at your essence, Quirkless since birth, as your new Quirks dictate. Do they not?" AFO mused.

He glanced at Izuku from the corner of his eye.

"...okay, I admit coming here like this was impulsive of me. However you cannot just spring this onto me. We came to an agreement, you said you wouldn't do anything!" Izuku felt incredibly frustrated.

Kurogiri watched pitifully from the side, muting his yawns now and then. Poor Izuku.

"It's alright. You won't be forced to use them. But I had to give you something, you have helped me much and I cannot allow you to carry on like this. Whether you use them or not, I wanted to give them to you. Consider it a parting gift." AFO let out a slight pressure.

"You don't have to use them Izuku, but they could save your life. I won't let someone as brilliant as you die before you reached your prime," he commented.

He knew it wouldn't affect Izuku if the boy felt strongly about whether he had Quirks or not, but he knew him. Izuku would forgive him.

The green-haired boy shrunk into himself. He heaved a long sigh and then nodded his head, turning to go back into the portal and leave.

The man was just looking out for him.

He knew the villain valued talent above almost everything else, so he didn't complain.

At least he got confirmation that he wouldn't be forced to use the Quirks.

That meant he'd have an easier time controlling them, and they wouldn't harm him if he decided to just not use them.

"How does it feel?" AFO asked suddenly, watching as Izuku kept adjusting his grip now and then.

"I'm feeling something akin to a hangover and I'm ready to sleep for a whole month," Izuku growled, swaying in his place.

As Kurogiri created a warp gate and went in to wake up Tomura, AFO prepared instructions for his protégé to take care of Izuku for two weeks since the child needed rest.

Looking at the pale skin of the boy, AFO also created black fingerless glove-type cloths that went from Izuku's wrist to his knuckles, which then tied to each of the rings on both hands.

Kurogiri's warp gate reappeared and AFO gently pushed Izuku through it.

When Izuku stepped back into the bar he staggered forward like a zombie before falling onto Tomura's lap, where he proceeded to fall asleep in an instant.

Said man was surprised to see the fourteen year old end up in his lap but he just held the teen in his arms and carried him to his bedroom.

He then tucked him in with a small smile before leaving.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, he told himself he'd need to think of an excuse to tell the kid's mother in the morning.

But for now, he was physically tired and emotionally exhausted. It was time to sleep.

_______

The next morning, Izuku woke up for a few brief moments.

He stretched and flexed his fingers several times, feeling the added weight slowly settle into his mind and hands.

The Quirks would gradually seep into his body, and in five months, would become a part of him.

At that point, the rings will only become an accessory, a medium, so that he's able to control his several powerful Quirks.

Even if the rings were miraculously destroyed or he lost an arm, he'd still be able to use his Quirks. They'd be part of his very cells, as if he'd been born with them.

Of course, until five months have passed, the physical and mental strain of the Quirks on Izuku's body will increase and may end up leaving him in a vulnerable state.

He had to be extremely careful and not accidentally die.

He yawned, and fell asleep again.

This time, he wouldn't be waking up for a long while.

Downstairs, Toga and Twice quickly bombarded Tomura with questions about whether Izuku was alright or not.

He shut them up by explaining that Izuku had just received a Quirk, telling everyone to be quiet so the brat could get some rest.

Calling over Mr Compress, Tomura had him imitate Izuku's voice and call his mother.

"Okaa-san, sorry for disappearing. I hope you didn't worry, I forgot to leave a note. Kacchan suddenly asked if I could stay over, so I'll be here for two weeks. I thought it would be best to come over right away since he's in a good mood now. Aunty Mitsuki reminded me to let you know, especially since I forgot to bring clothes with me. Do you mind packing and bringing some over?" Mr Compress spoke quickly under the guise of Izuku.

It was a very good impression. It was almost on par with Izuku's muttering abilities.

On the other side of the phone, Inko sighed in relief. "Okay honey, but don't forget to tell me next time. Although two weeks are quite a long time... I'll be visiting now and then to check up on you, but other than that I'm fine with it. I'll be over soon, wait a few minutes."

She hung up and began to prepare a bag with Izuku's clothes.

When they heard that Inko was going to be regularly checking up on him, the L.O.V panicked.

All of a sudden, Tomura asked Twice to make a copy of Izuku to place at the Bakugos.

He would've made Toga take some of Izuku's blood and pretend to be him instead as that was more reassuring, however they couldn't allow even a drop of blood to leave Izuku's body while he was resting in this state.

First, the group warped to the residence and proceeded to infiltrate the house.

They knocked out Mr and Mrs Bakugo with a sharp hit to the neck before leaving them tucked into their bed, made to feel as though they had really just been sleeping when they eventually wake up.

Then they hunted for Bakugo, finding the brat listening to music in his room.

Tomura had knocked him out and left him like that, then Twice created a copy of Izuku and had it lay down in a spare bed. Toga took some of Mitsuki's blood and posed as her for when Inko arrived at the door.

After setting everything up, Tomura and Kurogiri made their way back with Twice, who gave updates from an in-ear device.

Eventually Inko turned up, appearance messy as though she'd just rolled out of bed, and Toga-Mitsuki led her to the room where Izuku's doppelganger rested.

They had the copy sleeping peacefully, and Toga-Mitsuki 'explained' that Izuku came over quite early and so he fell asleep while waiting for Inko.

Inko smiled and thanked Toga-Mitsuki, then unpacked the stuff she'd brought before leaving.

Once Inko disappeared, everyone lingered around in the bar doing nothing as they waited for Izuku to wake up.

Toga, Twice and Mr Compress were on standby with Kurogiri in case they had to produce a similar situation over the course of the two weeks.

They'd gotten rid of the clone and had to be prepared at any moment since Inko said she'd be visiting regularly.

Dabi was in charge of feeding and cleaning Izuku's comatose-like body until he recovered.

Kurogiri warped with Tomura to Izuku's school and they proceeded to disintegrate any and all documents pertaining to Izuku's home, such as Inko's phone number or their address.

They couldn't come up with a good enough reason for why Izuku wasn't attending school, and they didn't want Inko to be alerted, thus this plan.

Fortunately that was all they needed to do, as the teachers and students cared not for the Quirkless.
