I look over to see dad with a tear streaming down his face.
"He will be back I hope." Dad says as soon as my brother is whisked away through the portal.
"Yes he will and I will be here for all of you." I say.
"Don't even say anything! He's my true son! You are just an imposter who took my daughter away!" Dad shouts.
"Don't say that hon honestly she was reborn to us. She is our daughter now." Mom says.
I start to cry again and use my magic to fly out of my brother's room because mom let me go to chide dad. "Sora." I say as I slam my bedroom door.
"Yes. Ebony you haven't used me for almost a year now you can do anything you want to."
"Show me my brother's status." I asked.

"Wow there's not a lot of information about my brother but at least I know that he is going to be okay," I say to myself.
Mom comes in with a device that I have never seen before. I look at her with my head tilted to the side. "I'm sure you want to know how your brother is doing." Mom says to me as soon as she sees what I was doing.
"What about dad doesn't he want to know how brother is doing too?" I ask.
Mom looks at me with a saddened expression. "He took off after you flew out of the room," Mom says. I look down wondering where he could have gone and where have I gone wrong with what I have been doing this whole time.
"He will come back and see that you are his only daughter." Mom say to me. I look at her and nod.
"I want to talk to my brother." I say to mom. She powers up the device and I see my brother looking a lot better than when he was at home. "Brother! I exclaim happily." I was so glad to see he was doing better that I shouted.
"Hey, baby sis. How are you doing?"Jace asks me. "I'm well brother how are you feeling now?" I ask him. "I am feeling more like myself now than ever before and I'm learning to channel the energy into my core and around my body before forming a spell. I can also heal people! I was excited to learn that. I'm going to like being a mage." Brother said with enthusiasm.
Brother hasn't seemed to notice the absence of dad yet. "Where's dad?" He asked. "He didn't take what I said to well." I told brother. Mom walks in with tea for me to drink. "Here sweetheart it will help settle your nerves." She said to me. "Hi mom, I miss you all and dad too." Brother says to her. She tears up and says, "I miss you too sweetheart." She doesn't say anything about dad.

"Hi Jack what brings you away from your family?" A man asked. "Hi Herman, I just needed a few days away. I'm grappling with something that I am having a hard time getting my head around."Jack said. "Oh? What kind of thing are you milling over?" Herman asked.
Jack took some time to consider telling Herman. "Do you have a private area where we can talk in peace? I don't want to say anything out here where walls have ears." Jack said. Herman just nodded and waved Jack to follow him. They walk down the stairs from the main floor. Then they walk through a secret door in the basement and down another flight of stairs and down a long corridor to a door that was shut. Then they entered the door and it was a very big room dimly lit with a big table with a device by the door that Herman tapped after the door was shut.
"Now we are safe to talk about whatever it is that is bothering you."Herman said. "I have just been told that my daughter who was considered a little genius is a reincarnation of another woman from god's know where. I had watched her grow up thinking that she was just a genius child who had a lot of innocence left but she had told me herself that she was reincarnated as my daughter. I have no clue how to go about accepting the fact that she is not from our world. I don't understand why she even said what she did. All we asked her was for how long could she talk normally but she told us she could talk normally like an adult for about a month. She deemed it fit to hide that fact from my wife, my little boy, and me." Jack finally said.
Herman sighed. "Wow man. That's incredible and I would say love that little girl because you don't know what her past life was like. She might need a lot of love. I know it's hard for you to understand that she was from another world but she has grown up in that body that you now call a daughter. She has grown to love you and her family since the day she was brought to this world. Imagine you were in her shoes. Going from possibly a horrible life to one that seems like a dream then to have the person you called dad run off just because you finally tell him the truth and your story." Herman calmly stated. Jack just sat there contemplating what to say about what he had just heard from his long time friend. "Thanks Herman that is exactly what I needed maybe I can go and ask for forgiveness from my little princess. I shouldn't have said what I did to her but I did so I will just have to make it up to her." Jack states and gets up from the table. Herman on the other hand…. "If you so as much as hurt her again I will kick your ass do you understand?" Herman says.
Jack's eyes go wide. "You're a reincarnation too?" Jack asks. Herman just smiles. Jack suddenly feel faint then passes out.
When Jack regains consciousness he finds himself at home in his living room. "Jack honey about time you wake up. Our son asked about you and our daughter has been in a sad mood since you left. She has not eaten since the day you left. Did you ever think that she went through hell in her other life. She cried for two days. I was not able to console her. She thinks that you hate her." Evana says to him.
Jack sits up on the couch and asks, "How did I get home?" "Herman brought you home and said that you gotten drunk at his bar," Evana says to him.
Jack sit there with his head in his hands and says, "I messed up when I left didn't I?"
