I stand there shocked. "Are you okay sweetheart?" Mom asked. "Yes I'm okay. I'm just trying to figure out how in the world my little brother from my old life was here to congratulate, my turning 3 in my new life." I say to her. Herman just smiles at me and says surprise big sis. I smile at him and nod. Jace just stares in shock that I acknowledged a full grown adult man as my brother.
"Jace, you'll always be my big brother and Dan/Herman is my little brother from my previous life. I love both of you. I worked tirelessly for Dan to go to college in my previous life and died trying to get to work." I say so that both of them know I care very deeply about them.
"I wonder if I could get to meet mom and dad from my previous life too?" I asked. Herman just shrugged. "I have no clue big sis." He said. "Herman can you please call me little sis now? I'm only 3 in this life." I requested. "Sure little sis!" Herman said smiling.
I sat down on the chair I was requested to sit on and told everyone about how I had died and how I lived until I had died. There was not a dry eye in the room. Not even Herman. "Oh sis, I'm sorry you had to die like that. I'm mostly to blame for that I was in with a bad crowd in our previous life. I'm so sorry." He cried. I just shook my head. "You have nothing to apologize for brother but I want to know what caused you to hang out with them in the first place." I said.
"I don't quite remember what reason I had started to hang out with that kind of people. I do know that I was just being used. I wound up being killed by one of the people who I thought was one of my best friends. I couldn't even protect you or mom, and dad. I was pathetic." He said with tears. "Wait you died before me?!" I literally shouted. "Yeah, sis. I died before you. I never got to say goodbye to you, mom or dad." "So even you don't know if mom and dad lived after I died." I said sadly.
"Okay that's enough of the somber atmosphere for one day. Today is supposed to be a happy day to celebrate my baby's 3rd birthday." Mom said. She walks over to the gifts and picked one up. She walks back over to me and sets it down I'm front of me. I stare at it for a moment then I realize everyone has been waiting for me to open my presents.
I look around at all of my loved ones and let a tear fall then start to open the first gift. Once I take off the outer wrapping around the gift I open the lid and see a little purple hair bow. I smile then gently lift it out of the box only for a glow to form on the bow and then the outfit I have on glows along with it. The I notice that I am floating in the air. I look behind me and see that I now have a pair of purple see through wings on my back.
"Wow. This gift is amazing. I love it also how can a bow change into wings?" I say. "Magic sweetheart." Mom says. "Thanks for this gift." I say. The next present is placed where I sat. I float down to it. This wings disappear and another bow is in my hair. I sit down and start to open the next gift. Once done with the wrap I open the lid of this gift it appears to be a bottle of something. I use my magic to make it float out of the box. I look at the bottle with a tilt of my head. "That is a very good potion it is the purest mana potion you can find." Herman explains. "Thank you. I'lol put it away until I need it." I say. I go through many more gifts of magical things until my little body decides that I'm tired. "Oh my looks like the birthday girl is tired." Mom says.
As mom said that I feel magic swirling around me and everyone gasps. "She changed form into a little flying cat. Purple in color but sleeping all the same. Could she be the blessed one?" Someone among the guests said. I have no clue who said it because I was sleeping. "My little princess is getting more intriguing by the day." Dad says. "So does this mean she's going to be able to break the curse on our family?" Jace asks.
"Not sure son." Mom says. "Let's let our princess take a nap before we continue the festivities." Dad says. "Okay. See you when you wake up little sis." Both Jace and Herman say. I didn't notice that we had other guests in our home when I took my nap. The other guests start talking in low murmurs about what they had witnessed and what it could possibly mean for us Bleakbeak's. The other people are strangers that wear purple as well. I noticed everything everyone was wearing was purple.
I wonder who I was to all of them. I woke up and didn't see anyone else in the room. I decided it was a good idea to meditate for a little bit. I meditate until I pick up a sound in the next room. I open my eyes again. I look around then I look at my hands but I find paws. "Meow!" I exclaim. "Oh it sounds like you're awake." Mom comes in saying. "Meow." I say. I look at mom and tilt my head and meow again. "Oh you're wondering how you came to be in this form." She says. I nod my furry head. She tells me that I changed form when I had just closed my eyes earlier for my nap. I'm stunned by the revelation. I think of my other form then I feel myself getting wrapped up in magic and then I see my hands are back. "Oh good you figured out how to get back to your normal shape." Dad says as he walks in with a cake. "Wow cake! I'm hungry." I say as soon as I see him. "Hold on sis we all have to eat first before having cake." Jace comes in and says.
